"the hotel was worthy of 4 star rating the food was tasty and varied and everywhere was clean and tidy. The pool was lovely and there were plenty of sunloungers. The reception staff were helpful but the other staff were sometimes unhelpful bordering on rude. The local area is very quiet.If you want a weekend break in an all inclusive hotel this is good value for money."

"Fabulous hotel. Very spacious with excellent facilities. Room was spotlessly clean on arrival and kept that way for the whole of our stay. All other areas in the hotel were also kept very clean. A wide selection of good food was always available in the restaurant. The only thing we could think might be a problem was as we stayed midweek in early June, the hotel was relatively quiet, but it did fill up towards the weekend and we could see there might be problems with queuing in the bar and restaurant at busy times."
Top Tip:
"The area local to the hotel was very quiet. No shops and not a great beach. We did not use any local bars or restaurants as we stayed all inclusive at the hotel. It would probably be a good idea to hire a car to get about and see the sights. Having not hired a car, the best thing we found was the local bus service into Almeria town. This was very cheap and a nice trip out to see somewhere different."

"the area is up and coming, but there is not much around at the moment.

the hotel is very nice and clean and the food was mainly spanish as this is a hotel for spanish guests, however there were a few english families there."
Top Tip:
"there is a lovely italian pizza place near the beach but the beach is not that good, there are nicer ones aroud that area"

Description:

The Alcazaba Mar is located in the south east of Almeria, in the area of Retamar, next to the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, and 200 m from its beautiful beach. It offers separate swimming pools for adults and for children, a restaurant with delicious dishes and a bar. For golf lovers the hotel is located next to the Golf court El Toyo where they can enjoy their favourite sport. The nearby area is a great zone to practise cycling and you can make beautiful trips in kayaks. Its 5 km away from the airport.
