David from Ellesmere Port reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"we have stayed at alcudia pins 5 times before, so we knew it was a .decent hotel. but on arrival we were told that they were overbooked and that they could offer us a hotel room at an alternative until a room became availableThis upset the start of our holiday for a bit, as we had arrived hot and tired and a weary 6 year old. later that day we were offered a room back at pins, but was a bit disipointed not to be offered any form of compensation. although we were only at the alternative for a few hours, it was still classes as an inconvienience in our eyes."

"The restuARANT PINS MATES HAS A GOOD SELECTION OF FOOD AT VERY GOOD AFFORDIBLE PRICES, THE WAITERS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL."
Graeme from Dumfries reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"The apartment was small but adequate for our needs. Travelled with my wife & two boys aged 15 and 10. The beds were firm but not uncomfortable. The kitchen was basic, 2 rings, microwave, fridge, toaster & kettle. No full length mirror and no hairdryer. It was very clean with the maids coming every two days to clean & change towels and bedding. Great location with the beach at the end of the swimming pool area. Daily sporting activities kept the kids active & interested. Not in the resort of Alcudia but about 4 miles away."
Top Tip:
"Found a great restaurant - Pins I Mates - which served a good choice of food and good quality. Tribute band played most nights and somewhere I would recomend"
STEPHEN from WATFORD reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"Hotel is fantastic!!
Lots going on and very clean spacious rooms!!
Although it is located in Muro which is abit of a way out of Alcudia, so if you dont have a car or dont like buses maybe not for you."
VIVIENNE from CORSHAM reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"
The hotel was very good, food excellent - my husband is coeliac and we mentioned this on our first evening in the restaurant and on every visit after that, the Manager greeted us and informed us of which foods were suitable. I have to say that there was a wide variety of suitable foods, which made all the difference as it can sometimes be quite a problem. The restaurant staff could not have been more helpful.
In general all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was cleaned regularly and the beach was clean.
The only down side was the sunbeds which were 8.50 euros a day for us both and the taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was 70 euros each way.
I would definately visit again but hire a car next time for the airport journeys as this would work out more economical and we would have the use of it for several days."

"Hotel beach was great - but would explore more next time."
Emma from Maidstone reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"Enjoyed every minute of or Holiday and are definitely planning on going back next year.
Our children aged 6 and 3 did not want to come home, the kids clubs were excellent.
I would definitely recommend this holiday for families with young children.
The only fault I could find was not enough umbrellas around the pool but they can be purchased from the local shops for a reasonable price."
Claire from Peterborough reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"We have stayed at this resort before (Aug 2006) and it was great which is why we booked again but bringing other family members with us this time. We all thought it was excellent and will be booking again in the future. We would highly recommend it to anyone!"
"The Alcudia Pins complex ( It is a large hotel complex with 590 "units" ) is surrounded by (Five within a very short walking distance) much better looking and smarter Four Star hotels.
The rooms are basic and look a little tired, the kitchen area is provided with two electric rings, a fridge and a work surface. There is a reasonable supply of crockery and cutlery. The cups and glasses are small and hence if you wand a good big cup of tea you will have to resport to drinking this from your soup bowl.
The bathroom has a shower above the bath, it is good and the bath as well as the bathroom is of a reasonable size.
The one bed room apartment will supply you with two twin beds, built in cupboard and just enough room to walk around the bed room. In the "living" room there is a sofa bed, a built in table and a coffee table, it is just spaciouls enough for two adults and a child.
Very few apartments have a sea view, most either face another hotel (Viva Bahia - Excellent pools and childrens facilities) or the hotels pool area, the pool area will obviously be a little more noisy.
This large complex stacks people in and hece the pool area is very much like tightly packed sardines, thus if you are looking far a quiet tranquil time by the pool forget it.
There is access to the beach from the hotel and this is fine and not overcrowded, the sea is safe and shallow for a good 150 meters.
Out of our 14 nights stay at the hotel, we had to complain 8 times to have the air conditioning attended to, it was not working properley and in the night the room temperature would reach 27 degrees Centigrade and yet the air conditioning would not kick in.
Our complaints were actioned and technicians attended very promptyly, however, they never managed to sort the problem out. We experienced loss of sleep and frustration.
The area is close to the "swamp" of the Albufera National Park and hence suffers from Mosquitoes, sleeping at night with windows open is not an option and a night stroll will gurantee mosquito bites.
There is no quality control over the items in the room, we only found out we did not have a tea kettel, kitchen knife, toaster by comparing notes with our friend who was staying next door. These items were prompty supplied, but we would never have known we did not have them as no check list or room inventory is provided.
On the plus side of having no quality control, you can amass a hugh supply of towels from the cleaners, they do not do a "bring one dirty get one clean towel system". Beach towels are not supplied.
The Alcudia Pins Hotel (three star hotel ) as well as the other five other four star hotels are a little enclave on their own, there are a only a few shops and resturants and no other activities withing walking distance of these hotels.
In terms of you pay your money and you get your choice I would say the hotel is a good three star hotel.
Our experience with the faulty air conditioning system, the over crowding at the pool area and lack of a quiet peaceful area and the petty rules about supplying only one room key, charging for the room safe means that we would not return, especially as the hotels literally next door are better, more spacious and less packed."

"You can walk fro the beach to the Can Picafort resort, it is a good easy walk on the beach.
A bike hire costs three euros for an hour and within a 20 minutes cycle ride you can go to the better equipped and cheaper "public" supermarket.
There is nothing going on at the resort after 10 pm, so either take a Taxi to Can Picafort (six Euros one way) or settel down on the beach for the night and watch the moon and stars and hear the waves, all for free. just take along your candles and drinks.

Michele from Douglas reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"While we stayed there the noise level was extremelly from coaches, people after 10pm shouting, there was not always a sunbed available beside the pool, information about the kids clubs and what was available was not widely advertised only for reps shouting around the pool what was on and when. We reported a door to our apartment broken, and it was not fixed at all while we were there. We were never so glad to come home.
The weather was very bad which I know is nothing to do with the hotel but to maybe supply some entertainment for the children indoors should this happen again, as many parents go on holiday to get some rest and not too come back exhausted."

"We found a car hire place called Vanrell in Alcudia, which did great special offers for only 15 euros a day with hiring a car seat. The lady in there a scotish woman called Alison was extremelly helpful and on talking to her found a great spanish tapis restaurant called Ramones, very atmospheric, and the best meal we had on holiday.

"The room was very small but adequate. The pool was fab and the kids loved the water slide. It was right on the beach but there wern't many places to eat nearby. The staff did a fab job of entertaining everyone and all in all we had a brill holiday."
Richard from Bridgend reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"This was our second visit to this hotel, we have a very young family (1 & 3 years old) and the facilities are excellent for a family holiday. Hotel staff very helpful lots to do each day and night and the food choice on the half board basis was excellent. Would strongly recommend."
Top Tip:
"The hotel is directly on the beach but beaware you do have to pay for the sunbeds, alternatively stay by the pool for free. "
Andrea from Harrogate reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"Whilst the apartment was small it had all the basic equipment that families with young children need - basic cooking facilities, black out lining on the curtains and CBeebies! The apartment was cleaned every 2-3 days and the pools were great - if not a little cold at the beginning of May! The hotel represented very good value for money and we would recommend it. We didn't participate in any of the hotel entertainment / restaurants as we had hired a car and preferred to eat out at places we'd visited during the day."
Glen from Liverpool reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"Just come back from Alcudia Pins in April, and had a lovely time. Our group consisted of 4 adults 44, 44, 21 and 21 and a 17 month old. The hotel complex was located right on the beach, the pool was lovely and the rooms were kept very clean. The entertainment were very good and kept the children amused in the club in the evening. There is a lovely beer garden pub just outside the complex and an Irish bar that stays open till 2am. Although there is not an abudance of shops and bars around there is enough for most peoples needs, however if you want a lot more choice Alcudia is down the road and will cost about 8 euros in a cab.
Sheila&Glen, Liverpool."
David from East Grinstead reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"Clean rooms, nice large balcony. Would definitely visit again but only out of season, when full imagine sunbeds and late night noise may be a problem."
"Went in april for 9 days only rained twice. The apartment was clean however, if bits of food are on the floor ants will come. Friendly people and workers. 1 bedroom apartment was small but i only used it to sleep in. jacuzi wasnt on, asked the reception she told me its only on in the summer. cleaner comes in da morning so annoying for those who wake up late. Over all it was great planning to go back next year."

"Check out the market i think it closes at 1 pm. Check out archery and rifling.
If on self catering be sure to go to the super market which is a bus stop away towards can picafort, then walk until you see a roundabout (4min walk), crossing the roundabout can be troublesome. (its right next to the roundabout)"
David from Sheffield reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"Great facilities, incredibly helpful staff, beautifully kept and maintained, really well located. I wouldn't hesitate recommedning the hotel to others and plan to return as soon as possible."
Top Tip:
"Great beach (although beyond the Alcudia Pins stetch of beach, neighbouring facilities could do more to tidy up the litter - especially the plastic). Also a lovely nature reserve."
JAMES from hunstanton reviewed the Alcudia Pins Hotel
"the apartment was great hotel pool fab. entertainment excellent something for everyone all other facilities good only thing was the bars were over priced I thought but would go again"
