"Right, we booked at the last minute, 2 days before travelling. The hotel was OK, would be more suited to the younger crowd, but we were ok, I am 32 and my boyfriend is 52, having said that we were coming in after 3am most nights, and so, the younger peoe who were coming in after 6am didn't bother us, and they didn't resurface until about 1pm, bless em! All in all the hotel was adequate, and we would go back."

"The hotel pools were really nice and the bar areas.
The rooms were cleaned all the time but sometimes the clean sheets and towels still had stains on."

"The Hotel was very good and some of the bad reviews I have read recently were unfair to say the least.
Some of the hotel reviews were slightly overzealous with their complaints in my opinion, however, some were accurate. Yes, there was no shower curtain but that wasn't a big deal as the bathrooms had drainage facilities in them and with the heat, they dried very quickly. Plus, we had a bath so it wasn't hard not to get the floor wet. The maids came regularly, providing you weren't in your bed all day long and sheets and towels were changed at least 3 times during the week. The rooms were basic but just what we needed for the week. The cost of a Fridge, Air Conditioning and a Safe at 80 euro when we arrived was a bit steep. I don't mind paying for the air con and a safe but 15 euro for a fridge is not really fair.
The location was perfect. 5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the main strip but with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants along the way. I honestly don't think we could have asked for a better location. The pools at the hotel were great, plenty of sunbeds, a decent bar and two large pools. The bar served cheap drinks but also didn't mind you drinking your own, purchased from the many local shops and supermarkets. They even sliced my lime and gave me a bottle opener so I could sit and drink Corona, Nice! Massive plasma and projections screens with footie and other sport on, 4 pool tables, a shop and 4 internet terminals costing only 1 euro for 12 minutes. There was much more too, I really was impressed with the hotel to be honest. Many other guests at different hotels were quite envious of the facilities we had and the atmosphere. Big English presence at the hotel too and an even mix between males and females.
The one big issue with the hotel was the security. Totally over the top and heavy handed. They would patrol the corridors of the hotel and complain about anything and everything, normally carrying a truncheon of some sort in an attempt to intimidate the guests. Might have worked on kids but with a bunch of 6ft, 25 year old guys, they just moaned and swore a lot! I appreciate that at 5am in the morning people are "trying to sleep" as they put it but the hotel bar bangs out hard house till gone 6 (can't be heard in the rooms) but when you sit in your room with a few friends, no music on and they come in (using the master key), complaining, not on!!!! They calmed down a bit later in the week though so it wasn't a huge issue. They do need to appreciate that people are here for a good time and to accommodate that. If we were being loud and unreasonable, I wouldn't have had a complaint but we weren't!
That is my only complaint though. Great holiday and great hotel. Would definitely go back and recommend the hotel BUT NOT FOR FAMILIES... The few I saw there looked very uncomfortable. The locations suits young groups looking for a good time and it doesn't disappoint."

"We have just returned from our holiday at the Alexander hotel Zante - fantastic.
The hotel is clean, bright and airy. If you get a room in the new block they are excellent but some of the rooms in the older block could do with some attention.
Breakfast is the typical bread & jam but there are plenty of tavernas close by that do breakfast if you want something bigger. Kostas (the owner) is an excellent host who will do anything to ensure you have a fab holiday."

"we were mugged on last night and hotel staff were not helpful and i had to push to get the police involved.
also half board eating times were 8am-10am for breakfast which is okay, but 2pm til 5pm for dinner, this is not good and led to myself and my friend spendingm ore money than we had budgeted for, this should be made clearer on your website."

"clean & basic"
