"The hotel is clean and well maintained we have used it 3 times now. The time of year we go it is mainly mature people staying of various nationalities. The downside is the food - you wont starve but it isn't particularly exciting."

"Owing to a cock up at this hotel we were transfer-ed to The Orleans hotel for four days this was not the best hotel as we had been downgraded the room was very small and the food was not a good standard but in fairness to The Alexandra we were allowed back to them for all meals although we booked half board we were upgraded to full board for the duration of our holiday but we had a five minute walk to the Alexandra.Although this was an inconvenience the was a very nice hotel and would not hesitate to go there again providing they could guarantee our rooms on arrival."

"We were very disappointed on arrival at The Alexandra to be told we would have to spend one night at a neighbouring hotel. The accommodation there was very sub-standard, with a cramped room, no TV and a very tiny bathroom. We were told it was due to a plumbing problem but within a couple of days found out there were other people given different reasons, depending upon who was on Reception at the time of arrival. It seems nearly all Brits spent at least one night at the neighbouring hotel, and some up to 3 nights. They need to sort their booking system out I think."

"The hotel was lovely, the food was excellent and there was a large variety in both the morning menu and the evening selections. We were very sorry to go as the area has always been a place that we will come back to again and again, and I would highly recommend this hotel. The thing that most surprised me was the size of the bathroom! You could fit another bed into it without having to take out any of the fittings! It is also nice that through the area where the swimming pool is, down a few steps is the beach! Quick access and very convinient for those who prefer the beach to staying by the private pool."

"The hotel was absolutely brilliant, in fact we couldnt believe it was only 3 star. The staf were friendly and very helpful. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The rooms were a good size with a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. They were cleaned every day. The pool was lovely and clean and the food was excellent - definitely worth going half or full board. All in all we had a great stay."

"Hotel Alexandra in majorca was clean and a pleasant environment. Staff were very friendly and acomidating. The facilities and food was also very good. Because of an over booking error on their part, they gave us full board to make up for it which was good of them. It is very well located with direct access to the beach and only 2km from the airport."

"Air con was a huge plus and food was good with buffet-style service for breakfast and dinner providing a good choice. The wine was awful though"

"Other hotel guests were mainly French or Spanish - but was great. The children got on with making friends and the language barrier was no obstacle. They all made themselves understood. And meant that there were loads of sunloungers available every day (don't now where they all went) Food was great - yes there were chips everynight but there was also a choice of another form of potatoes, pasta or rice. Great selection of meat, fish & pasta dishes every day. A gate led to the beach, via a flight of steps, and was opened by our room key (gate locked sundays - don't know why). Beach fairly small but perfectly safe for small children and was never crowded - Even in August. A 5minute walk led to miles of sandy beach all the way to A'renal. Yes resort is close to airport but you soon get used to aircraft noise -and is great for transfers! Great English run bars alongside beach. "

"1. The evening entertainment was variable and fell short of what we used to experience in hotels such as the Marina Luz in Ca'n Pastilla; most emphasis was on disco music and no attention to children or variety shows etc 2. The food was generally good - no lunchtime bar snacks were available for half board customers 3. The overall customer care standards from the staff were generally good 4. No coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms or shower mats to avoid slipping in the bath when taking a shower"

"fantastic time, and at a great price, well recommended hotel..accomodation very good, food very good, and friendly helpfull staff."

"This hotel is ideal situated, it is in easy reach of the airport, Palma city is just a bus ride away. The hotel is situated across the road from a lovely sandy beach, and cafes and shops are close by. The hotel offers agood range of food, the rooms are clean and neat, the staff welcoming and helpful."

"Good value for money. Friendly efficient staff. "

"The hotel was better than expected, considering the price. We arrived @ 11am and room wasn't ready (check in is @ 2pm) but hotel reception staff very helpful and pointed us to large luggage room where you can leave bags and get changed. The hotel is by the beach, but the pool area is not @ road/beach level. You have to go down steps to access the beach / promenade. Close to the airport, but aircraft noise is not a problem as they use the western runway. Hotel walls must be very thin as you can hear noise from rooms around you. Good selection for breakfast, both hot & cold options. Taxi from airport cost us 15 euro for a 5 min transfer. Driver was very grumpy when we told him 'C'an Pastilla, Por favor' as he knew it was next door to airport so he told us it was 15 euro minimum fare when he dropped us off? Not sure if its true, so check fare before setting off! Overall, the hotel & resort is nice for a short break but we didn't find much in the way of nightlife or a huge variety of nice restaurants in C'an Pastilla (probably due to most hotels being half board)."

"We had a really good time food was plentiful and tasty, everybody was so friendly it is more of a hotel for couples than families (which we found was great). The rooms were clean, the hotel was well presented and the staff were really helpfull, it was that good that we are thinking about booking for the new year. Brill holiday!!!!"

"The hotel its self was nice. The rooms were spacious, clean and ample storage space. The food varied, some nights were exwlemt with plenty of choice, other's not a lot. If you are a spanish or french pensioner, then this is the place for you.The entertainment at night was all dancing for the older generation.(it was actually quite nice to watch). I felt sorry for the few children that were there, because there was nothing at all for them to do. When we tried to relax around the pool in the day, there was maintenence work being done. There were saw's and hammer drills going all day long.(impossible to rest).somebody did complain and it seeme'd to stop for that day.Why can't they do this in the winter when nobody's there? As for the resort, very quiet, everywhere seemed to shut at 11.30,apart from Ricky's bar and the manchester bar, there further down, near the K.F.C. If you walk further down you come to Playa de Palma, this is very German and seems a lot buisier. Take a bus to palma..number 15,1 euro10,takes about 25 mins.Get off at cathederall and get back on it there too. We were only at the Alexandra for 4 days,a cheap stay, but glad we didn't do a week."

"We have stayed at The Alexandra before. It is very basic but clean and the staff are reasonably friendly. The food had deteriorated a bit this year and we ended up eating out all the time. Why we like it, is that it is near to all the local amenities, and close to the beach. The one thing that we were very disappointed in, was that at the airport we had to pay almost £100 for our baggage, as we had no idea that the rules had changed with Monarch Airlines. So we felt very cheated that nobody had pointed this out to us. If we had paid at the time of booking we would only had to pay £3.99 per bag instead of £18. And we had 5 bags. Other than this it was a very nice holiday, and all we
