"Although we booked a room in the Accademia, on arrival we were transferred to another of their hotels, Hotel White. The reason given was that we had asked for a 'refurbished' room in the Accademia - though in fact we had telephoned them two or three months earlier to check on whether they were still undergoing refurbishments. They said by the time we got there everything would be finished. So we stayed at the Hotel White, and cannot therefore comment on the Accademia - and whether or not refurbshments are still going on! With regard to the Hotel White, it was only a short distance from the Accademia, and therefore had an excellent location. We can't stress this enough. The twin room was small and the only window overlooked a building opposite, which was across a very narrow alley. We had asked to be accommodated on the quiet side of the hotel, so no doubt this is why we had a room with no view! The room was quiet so we had good sleeps. However, the breakfasts were fabulous, and the general condition of the room bathroom, linen, etc., was good. There was a (free) safe in the room also.
From what we saw of the Accademia we would say it is probably a bit larger than Hotel White - certainly in the foyer - but can't comment on the bedrooms. If we returned to Rome we would definitely consider staying again at Hotel White or the Accademia, as they score top marks for location - very important when you want to spend hours seeing the sights, etc! And also for those delicious breakfasts.....!"

"A very good comfortable hotel very close to Trevi fountain and other areas in central Rome. Room is very comfortable and spacious. Bathroom very nice with lovely shower. Breakfast is very filling offering lots of choices, and staff are very friendly and attentive.

Only down side was no AC functioning until May. At night room was very stuffy and a bit too warm for comfortable sleeping. Plus you could not leave window open as outside very noisey until late into night with mopeds / restaurent / people noises which in day are not an issue but at night would be distracting and diffilcult to sleep through.

apart from the AC not being operational until May, the hotel is well recommended for anyone wanting to stay in a Central location in Rome."
