"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Alexandra Beach Hotel. Food was well above avergae most nights and proximity to the beach excellent although quite a lot of steps for the less mobile. Service was excellent and staff pretty friendly. We had noisy neighbours for two nights but after mentioning it at the front desk this was soon rectified. Very clean and tidy and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Tsilivi itself."
Top Tip:

"The hotel is kept VERY clean, with cleaners changing all bedding and towels each day. The pool is kept clean, and there is no rubbish or dirt left anywhere.
Reception is friendly and helpful (especially Sandra), all seem to have good command of the English language.
Food in this hotel is SUPERB! This is the first holiday we've been on where we havn't missed "home cooking". The selection was varied and well prepared. Waiting staff were always at hand to offer any assistance (Dimitri in particular).
Our only fault with this hotel would be it's location. It is at the far end of Tsivili which means quite a walk into town. Even though there are some bars and a supermarket within a couple of minutes walk the main town takes a good ten minutes walking. Due to the layout of the town the shops are in small groups quite far apart, so a quad bike to get around (and the island) would probably be a great idea."Top Tip:
"Quad bikes are cheaper in Argassi, so if you're going to rent a vehical I would advise you to travel to there to rent one. A 50cc is adequate, but if you want to travel the island the 180cc may get you up the hills a bit quicker. You can rent a 50cc in Argassi for around 20EUR.
ALWAYS haggle for a better deal. The prices seem to be getting higher and higher, so dont be too embarressed to ask for a better price!!
The boat trips are good, but bring a packed lunch as the on-board prices can be pretty expensive. The sand on the Shipwreck Bay is NOT as soft as it looks in the photos!!
Say hello to Destan at the snack/cocktail bar by the swimming pool!!
Shop around for best prices when you're there. A good bottle of local wine we purchased at the hotel for 10EUR was selling at the supermarket just outside for 5.60EUR. Down the road it was 3.60EUR and at the far end of town 2.60EUR!! Keep your eyes open for things like this."Alexandra Beach Hotel check-in Date:

"The hotel staff are superb, helpful, friendly, they made sure that i got the room that i had specifically requested in advance of our trip. The facilities are great too, everywhere is so clean. Lovely food. Will definitely be going back for a third time."

"Very clean rooms, but would have liked a shower head fixed on the wall not the bath taps. Maid service excellent. Hotel staff very friendly and courteous. Food excellent, lots of choice at breakfast and evening meal!! Entertainment on one night only - Greek night. Head waiter got a good voice. Family run hotel -- very welcoming. Right on beach, sun beds & brolly cheap. Water great for kids - shallow a long way out. Will book again."

"When we arrived at our hotel we were allocated to one of the bungalow apartment within the grounds of the Alexandra Beach Hotel. The rooms were not to the standard that we were expecting as we had payed for partial see view and this was not what we got. Alothough there was not a problem with us moving rooms its caused a little of of inconveinence as we were unable to unpack our clothing until the next day."

"Hi - we didn't stay in Alexander Beach. It was changed to Tsilivi Beach Hotel, which was far better than the Alex Beach (I've stayed there before)
The hotel was clean, roomy, fresh, the staff were great, the pool area was clean and the hotel is right on the beach. The greek night was good too. A top hotel and shall return"Top Tip:

"We really enjoyed our stay at Alexandra Beach the staff were lovely and so friendly, rooms were attended to everyday, the hotel very nice and clean, very traditional greek hotel. Food was ok at the hotel but not much choice. Pool was lovely and in the summer could see that the beach would be beautiful. The area was fantastic too, lots of bars, shops and restaurants, we loved our stay in Tsilivi!!! We are coming back next year!"
