"Hotel was very clean, the room very comfortable and the food provided for breakfast was very varied and good quality. The staff were extremely helpful providing all the information we asked of them.

The only drawbacks were 1.It was a fairly steep climb up the road from the bus stop to the hotel but ok to anyone of reasonable fitness. 2. The bins in the immediate vicinity were emptied at around 1am and the noise from the refuse collectors and their vehicle was annoying in the extreme."

"The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Great with children. Lovely breakfast. Clean, large rooms with all amenities. Honestly could not have been better for waht we wanted."

"Try the restaurant nearest to the hotel (small portuguese place) Really nice food and very reasonable."

"Really friendly and helpful staff. There was nine of us including 2 small children and my grandmother who is in her 80s and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Location of hotel is ideal (about 5 mins from Avenida de Liberdade) and in terms of facilites what you would expect from a decent 3 star hotel. Just be aware that hotel is at the top of a steep hill so anyone with mobility issues would find it difficult."
Top Tip:
"Hard Rock Cafe on the Avenue de Liberdade is well worth a visit for early evening cocktails."

Hotel Details - Botanico Hotel

This family-run hotel is a very popular choice, tucked away in a great central location just off the Avenida Da Liberdade and the Botanical Gardens. It is a character hotel and blends in perfectly with the more residential surroundings. The rooms are a good size, bright and comfortable and decorated in a floral theme with some contemporary features following a careful refurbishment. There is a small breakfast room downstairs and an intimate lounge bar just off from the reception open until late for your convenience.

Bus c. 3 Euros, stops Avenida Da Liberdade. Taxi direct c. 12 Euros, 30mins.

Public parking nearby 100m c. 10 Euros/day.
