Suzanne from Nr. Pontefract reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"I have stayed at Concorde now 6 times, and this is def my last time. 3 years ago the Hotel was superb and fresh looking. Now, to be honest it's like a bad 3* Hotel especially in Sports side and I have stayed in Both Main and Sports previously so I DO KNOW!! The staff there are lovely, I can't fault them, never have never will, but some of the new rules grate on me BIGTIME. Evening entertainment has improved slightly, (Couldn't of got worse anyway) the food is of an OK standard but repetitive, and as for the ALL INCLUSIVE (whinging British, who clearly did not read the small print) THIS FINISHES AT 11.00pm. I knew this 3 years ago, but the attitude of some guests was embarrasing. The staff agreed with me when I said that the Hotel had really gone down hill, 3 years ago it was the 3rd most popular Hotel in Sharm...now it's 23rd!!! THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES. (Look at TripAdviser) Most people also reserved sunbeds by the Pool as early as 7.00am most mornings. What's all that about??? It's like the Germans in most parts of Europe!! The whole of Sharm has chnaged sooooooooo much it's been very painful to watch, especially from someone who loves the country as much as I do. Think BENIDORM in the desert and you'll get the picture."

"Agree price before you get in Taxi. Pay no more than 60EGP from Hotel to Naama Bay. There is a free Shuttle Bus to Naama, but you have to book your seats in advance. The Russians are so rude, so don't be surprised!!! And stand up to them. The Egyptian staff can't stand them either. Old Market is a must see. Quad Bikes in the Desert, terrific. Don't believe what Rep says about booking with Pool guys. These are half the price of the Reps tours and just the same. Speak to HANY if you want to book any tours. LOVELY Guy, who speaks very good English and IS NOT PUSHY at all. Known him a "lifetime" and he will ensure you are looked after. Camel Bar, Pasha Club in Naama well worth visiting, but be warned this time of year it's still extremely warm at 10.00pm at night. The main street in Naama is full of cheap old tat and you WILL be hassled to take a look. If you say no thank you and smile they will usually leave you alone. Get rude and aggresive, they will close ranks and surround you. A shisha pipe is OK and worth a go too, but it does pong a bit!! Beware the bootleg ciggies in Naama, they are like Camel Sh** to smoke and it's not pleasant. Buy from Hotel or local Supermarket near your Hotel so that you know ya getting the real thing. Blimey, I could go on for ever, but I have visited Egypt for 30 years so do know my stuff!!"
Samuel from Wokingham reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"Simply brilliant, staffs are very friendly and extremely helpful.
The hotel has everything you'll ever want or need.
We very nearly pulled out the credit card to stay an extra week.
Handy tip though pay the extra and stay in the main part of the Concorde complex although the sports section is superb the main part is even better, with a nicer pool and views along with better evening entertainment and its even closer to the beach.
but dont worry where ever you stay within the resort you'll have access along with passes to all of whats on offer...
Oh and if you only do one thing during your stay, go snorkelling! Saying that; I can also recommend quad biking for those adrenaline junkies out there.

"Tip a good friendly member of the restaurant staff, a member of staff at the pool bar and the guy who services your room and you'll be treated like royalty. We tipped them 100 Egyptian pounds (£10 GBP) each between the four of us and were extremely and pleasantly surprised to watch them bend over backwards to accommodate us.
Oh and what ever you do avoid drinking the water or eating any food that is likely to be washed in it, you may find the consequences put a downer on your holiday."
Robert from Liverpool reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"Brilliant. Stayed in the front area in July and had the best holiday Ive ever had. The staff are excellent, the hotel is near spotless and the food is great. Cant wait to return next year."
Top Tip:
"Get in the water. Either just a snorkel or as we did a dive. The fish are incredible."
M from CANTEBURY reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"This was our third visit to Sharm and by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and could'nt do enough for you. the food very good and varied to cater for everybody. We will definatley be going back."
ROXANNA from BRIGHOUSE reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"Hotel was lovely and staff are very kind.

Top Tip:
"Go see the show in Old Sharm-its on every night from 10pm til midnight and its free. A taxi only costs £4 to get there.
Make sure you go snorkelling-it was the best thing about the holiday!"
angela from london reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"the hotel was full of russians which had i known that i would not have booked that hotel as i was travelling on my own with two children, it would have been nicer to stay with more English. The hotel for a 5* was dated and the all inclusive did not include ice cream in the evening for the kids or milkshakes around the pool."
Damian from Berkshire reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"The roome we were given on arrival were terrible and the SMOKE SMELL made all of us gag !!!!!. We asked nicely if we could upgrade our rooms and they gave us two very nice delux rooms at no extra cost. The pictures that are on the internet are the delux rooms NOT the standard so be ware."
Top Tip:
"Make sure you stay at the front hotel and not the sports side. The sports side is on the flight path."
angela from stoke on trent reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"Really enjoyed our stay at the Concorde, lovely hotel with very good facilities. Beautiful complex, especially the pool view. Rooms standard but kept nice and clean. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to other holiday makers wanting to visit Sharm El Sheikh. Also only 10 mins from airport which is a bonus."
Top Tip:
"Free shuttle bus to Naama Bay which is well worth a day and evening visit. Also enjoyed the organised trips offered to Cairo and Quad biking in the desert."
Gavin from Wakefield reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"We upgraded on arrival and stayed in the main hotel area which appeared to be of a higher quality than the sports side. Food was excellent and if you went later on an evening it isn't as busy. Entertainment could have been better."
darren from DONCASTER reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"Superb hotel,REALLY friendly staff,Loads to do,We went in January still fabulous weather.Highly reccomended,Deffently coming back same time next year."
Top Tip:
"hotel has its private beach which is superb , try out snorkling at the end of the jetty its breathtaking !"
neil from accrington reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"We stayed in the sports side of the complex. Unfortunately from my point of view it is to close to the airport. The view out the balcony was great as it was a view of the pool, when we left the room the view to the front was of the airport. So if your a light sleeper dont choose the sports complex.
However the staff are very friendly and helpful, from the waiters, bar, room and hotel staff. We went down to the main hotel as this was near the beach and not as windy at this time of year."
Top Tip:
"we flew to Cairo for a day trip, visiting the Pyramids and Sphinx was great as no point in going to Egypt otherwise. Also took a trip to Luxor to visit the valley of the Kings. Again a good trip.
Down at the hotel we hired a boat for a couple of hours which was great as we did some snorkling further out.
There is plenty to do if you want...if you want to chill out then just stay inside the complex and you want have to spend much!!"
MARK from HUDDERSFIELD reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"The hotel was excellent and in a good location.
The food was brilliant and the staff were polite, professional and very friendly.
I was very impressed with both the Christmas and the New years celebration dinner, especially the New year mega-party.
The kids club is probably the best one we have ever experienced in 10 years of taking kids abroad twice per year.
I truly cant wait to go back there next Christmas"
Top Tip:
"The local dive centre (Marina Divers) were good, however not the most organised in the world so if you intend to dive then.
I was impressed with "Bobbo's" a local company who arrange watersports and quad biking etc - very organised and well run."
Amanda from Swallow Nest reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"Overall a excellent hotel with excellent and friendly staff. We had a family suite next to one of the heated pools this was excellent with 2 bedrooms and on suite bathrooms with a massive lounge area. The pool had its own pool supervisor and bar tender who came around every 20 Mins to see what you wanted to drink, towels and soft sun lounger mattresses were also supplied.
The diving and snorkeling were also excellent. The food was buffet style but a good selection at evening dinner. The pool bar was excellent for burgers and grilled chicken + the Italian at lunch was well worth a visit. Would definately return.
The all inclusive does not include bottled water however there is a supermarket by the entrance to the Hotel and its only 30p a bottle so just stock up on arrival (its not an issue).Book it."
m from shropshire reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"1. The details of the fact that we were booked in with Wings Egypt was not supplied, this caused some confusion at check in.
2. I was advised by the Represetative that Wings Egypt provide free transfers from the airport to the accommodation so the fact that I had paid an additional £36 for ResortHoppa to do this was unnecessarily.
3. I had to arrange, at an additional cost of $60, an additional "put up" bed. The three of us had been booked into a "double" room and the bed space was not sufficient for 2 adults and a 6 year old.

Top Tip:
"You must remember to take your masks and snorkels, we went to the sea every day and the sights are amazing. This is free and a must.
You don't need to pack any towels as theses are provided, even for the beach, so that should give you some extra luggage space."
louise from barnoldswick reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"The main part of the hotel was fantastic. We would have been disappointed if we had stayed at the sports side, it was very cramped, noisy and the swimming pool area was lethal (very very slippy). Our family suite was amazing we thought we were in the wrong room when we arrived as it was huge! The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you, and they love children. The food was very good but after a week I can imagine you would be fed up with it. Narma bay is ok for a trip but prepare to be hassled! (Kentucky fried chicken makes aa nice change for lunch though) The beach is lovely and snorkeling is fantastic even the children can experience it in the shallow part of the sea. The evening entertainment is pretty basic and there is not really anywhere to go for a walk but if you have young children like us they will probably be exhausted from the heat anyway. I would definately recommend this hotel but stay in the main part of the complex and a week is probably enough if you are taking children."
Top Tip:
"If you are taking infants remember to pack enough nappies and cream etc I didn't and we struggled to find any and when we did find some it cost me £3.50 for 8 nappies and £5 for a small tube of nappy cream. Make sure you take water shoes for the children as it is very slippy by the pool. It is a lot cheaper to take your own inflatables and childrens snorkles etc."
A E from Moreton reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"The hotel was lovely...well presented and very clean. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The choice of food was outstanding and there was so much to do, but be careful, as not all activities are in with the all inclusive package. There is room for development with the evening entertainment but it is worth a stay. We are thinking about going to the same hotel next year."
Top Tip:
"Be aware of punters if you go into the markets, they have a good way of dragging you into their shop and buying something. You are best avoiding eye contact."
Michael from Wakefield reviewed the Concorde El Salam Hotel
"The hotel was excellent. Very large with good facilities and friendly and efficient staff.
The Sports hotel (an annexe to the main hotel) had services and facilities which where comparable with the main building."
