"We arrived at the Almond Casuarina Beach Resort Hotel (from a long fight from the UK) and they had no record of our actual booking. We waited in reception for 2hours (whilst consulting our bookings person in the UK) and were finally then acknowledged that we had a booking...
We were then escorted to our room, but someone was actually occupying the room and we (and the bellman) walked in on them asleep on the bed (our supposed room)!! We then decided that the hotel just wasn't suitable (my fiance is pregnant and I was driving in the Barbados Rally a few days later). I then had my PA in the UK arrange for me to move direct to the Hilton to stay there.... We just couldn't stand being put through another few hours of total dis-organisation when we were both tired (and pregnant)!
We therefore DID NOT stay at the hotel for the intended 10 day stay and had to pay for another Hotel (Hilton) for our event. We are therefore seeking a refund for the amount of £1320.45 which was pre-paid to the hotel.
Please note the remaining staff / team stayed at the Almond Casuarina as planned but we were put through a lot of inconvience on arrival and we just couldn't stay there...
I would really appreciate your support and understanding in what was a horrible experience for both myself and my pregnant fiance. Please contact me as soon as you can with regards to this matter.

"Don't book this hotel or double, double check that they are actually ready to be opened as this hotel was not - it had dirt and no grass and had no knowledge of our pre-paid booking (worth over a £1300)!!!"

The Almond Casuarina Beach Reosrt Hotel sits on the white sands of Dover Beach, close to St. Lawrence Gap, on the coast 4 miles from the capital city, Bridgetown. St Lawrence Gap has a lively nightlife, bars, restaurants and shops. St Lawrence Gap is a mile long stretch of road and at night, `the Gap` comes alive! There are plenty of nightclubs, some open air, offering calypso, regaae, international jazz and R&B.
