The staff were excellent we were upgraded into a seaview room. Breakfast was very good, full English, continental, pancakes, omelettes, champagne and even bloody marys.

Nice clean spacious room with excellent bathroom. Would recommend for superb location if you want to be in the centre of everything. Make sure you book a sea view as we had an inland view and the noise from the promenade road kept us awake until after 4am !!

Top Tip Try the Almond Tree restaurant, the best and tastiest menu in town. In the harbour La Boite 67 serve the best Brandy sour but not if you are driving ! If you get chance to venture upto the market, Kivotos has the most original craft and jewellery in Paphos

I would imagine in school hols etc. the palce is swarming with small kids/toddlers. Out of season when we went no problem, but otherwise could be an issue for couples.

Don't expect too much from the beach!

The hotel was beautiful however it is minimalist which might not be everyone's taste but the service was fantastic sometimes too attentive but this is not a criticism. The staff were great with kids and had a full kids menu, the breakfast provided such an extensive choice and the menu was so tempting plus they have a sushi Chef and the sushi was fab. All in all a wonderful week and would definitely go back there!

Plus you obtained a fantastic rate for us and for that we are very grateful - Thanks!

Top Tip The restaurants just across the road from the Almyra are great particularly the typical Greek one the Mezze was fantastic but you need to be hungry and the Chinese restaurant entertained our 2 year old whilst we ate - that was a nice surprise!

Fantastic hotel - very attentive and polite staff, very clean, lovely pool area, wonderful selection for breakfast including Bucks Fizz! Offered lots of help in our hour of need - see Top Tips!

Top Tip A must see is the World Hertage Site by the harbour. Great VFM BUT beware of your footing. There is plenty of uneven ground and my husband fell and banged his head (twice) on a very large ancient rock resulting in five stitches, concusion and half a day in hospital!

You need sea view or you look out onto the main road we were fortunate to have had this but our friends did not .
At breakfast they are extremely slow in bringing you your tea and coffee and toast and the toast is always rock hard and cold not good for a 4* hotel. Room 241 is next to a conference room and the noise each day from the moving of furniture was very annoying when trying to sleep.

Top Tip A lovely restaurant we found was Grazia recomended to us by the porter at the hotel who made the reservation for us its an italian not far from hotel delicious!!

What a hotel - it made our holiday. Never been to anything like it. The design, the decor, the views, the food, the staff, cleanliness.. All excellent and only 20 mins from the airport - about CYP17 taxi ride.
We took a walk along the beach to next door, the Annabelle one way and Alexander the Great the other, lets just say the Almyra was the rose!
The only down side - the pool side drinks and room service were too expensive and this was the only problem. We didn't have a sea view so if you can afford that extra I'm sure it's well worth it, even without, the rooms are really lovely, there is even BBC and ITV!!
The pool is where you will stay, even though the hotel is beach fronted. The beach needs some work, a little rocky, although we were told more work is being done on the hotel soon, in particular a spa will be built for summer 2008.
The staff are excellent, really helpful and breakfast is well worth getting up for.
The bars in Paphos are far enough away not to hear but close enough to enjoy if you fancy that kind of thing.
Loads of great places to eat from all over the world. Average £30 a couple with with wine.
Highly recommend.

Top Tip Highly recommend Fat Mama's - CYP4 taxi ride from the hotel. Share the starters, the portions are HUGE and there is a little entertainment!!! Good night out.

The Almyra Hotel was wonderful. All the staff were extremely friendly and would always go the extra mile for customers. The staff had been very well trained and never walked passed without greeting you. We had a really good holiday and would definitely return. Can't understand why this isn't classed as 5 star - that's the rating we would give it.

Very good and could not have asked for more. Staff were great and was close to all the facilities and action. Quite a lot of very young families with babies. Would have not wanted any more.

Top Tip Gina's opposite was nice and casual and good for a lunch.
