"really nice hotel- staff very friendly, rooms a little dated, pool area fantastic after you fought for a sunbed, breakfast pleasant, returning next year!"
"Friendly, helpful staff. It was a spotlessly clean hotel with excellent facilities. Only downside was entertainment left a lot to be desired but didn't spoil holiday.
May I also say how helpful Travel Republic were at sorting out a problem with the airport transfer. Very efficient and I would not hesitate to use your company again. Thank you."
"A fantastic hotel.
It was very good in a nice location and the food excellent.
The rooms were spotless as you would expect from a 4* hotel and the staff very friendly and helpful. One minor criticism the service in the resturants was a bit hit and miss but they got there in the end.

"Discovered a very good family run resturant near the hotel:
MICHAEL'S RESTURANT
15 Kleous Street, 8042 Kato Paphos.
The food (and prices) are very good. The Fish Meze and the Suckling Pig were out of this world and the portions (as in most resturants) were very big so go easy when ordering!!
The owners were very welcoming .... thoroughly enjoyable.

"The hotel was very nice and in a great location. The rooms were clean and to a high standard, including Air Conditioning which is essential in Cyprus. We went half board and there was always good selection of food to choose from.
On the down side the entertainment in the hotel could be better and the outside of the hotel could do with a lick on paint. Plus in the busy summer period finding a sunbed can prove tricky unless you’re an early riser.

"We found an excellent Chinese restaurant right on the harbour. It was called Chloe’s. From the outside it looks stunning, very modern and looks great at night. We reserved a table for our last night and was given the best seat in the house, top floor overlooking the sea and harbour with a huge round patterned window.
The food and service was excellent, I would definitely recommend this place. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. They are sold out every night, which speaks volumes.

"Hotel is very good, very clean bedroom and bathroom, also good breakfast. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly. Good swimming pool for children and older people. Rescort are lovely but need lots do jobs done. Weather is really very very hot for July. "

"Plenty of good restaurant, frienldy staff. Nice beach just cross road but need lots do. At the moment they are doing new path etc."
"Very good hotel, very clean and helpful staff, excellent pool and plenty of sun loungers. Mini Bar in room could not be used to chill own food / drink without paying a daily charge, even though it was barely large enough to store the hotels drinks. No tea making facilities in room."

"Municipal beac across the road from hotel but not very large and gets quite busy, best local beach at Coral Bay a 20min bus ride away for €1.35 each. Good local restraunts outside hotel hidden down a side street second turning on right."
"'The Brothers' restaurant about 1000 metres from the hotel
And the Mandarin Chinese restaurant about 800 metres from the hotel just off the main posiedonos avenue
both serve excellent food at a reasonable price."
Colin from West Dunbartonshire reviewed the Aloe Hotel
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Aloe Hotel. The hotel's amenities were great and we thought the food was really nice. Staff were also friendly. The only dissapointment was when we had to pay 100 euros to keep our room on for an extra 12 hours, due to a change in our flight times, we did think this was a bit much. This aside, we would definitely consider staying there again."

"We found lots of really nice restaurants next to the hotel. Most of them if you came out and turn right towards the harbour. Happy Island was just one of them, the food was really nice and the staff are lovely. There is also a really nice chinese restaurant on one of the side streets to the right but I can't remember the name of it. If you're looking for a nice lunch Gina's was a nice wee delhi place further down next to the bank, quite expensive but tasty stuff - run by an english woman. Accross the road is Memories bar where we spent most of our time at night, the staff really took care of us (there was 18 of us looking for a table) and the drink is reasonably priced."
"The hotel was great - pool is fantastic and ideal if you've got kids. You will have to get up early as beds get taken up fairly quickly if you want poolside! though there are loads of beds in grassed areas too. The family room for 4 was very large (not much hanging/drawer space) but very clean with loads of room. The maids were very helpful and towels were changed every day. The corridors of the hotel could do with a re-vamp as they don't appear to be as luxurious as all the public areas downstairs. Food was varied and very good standard, staff were all really friendly and helpful. There is little or no entertainment in the hotel and the prices of drinks are really high, having said that its so close to many other bars/harbour area etc that you are spoilt for choice. I can recommend the Pelican restaurant at the harbour and the Evis bar just 3 streets away from the hotel."

"Loads of nice restaurants in the surrounding areas, Evis bar is just a few streets away with live entertainment every night and very reasonable drink prices!"
"We were dissappointed with the food on our stay as it seemed to be the same every day although different themes. We would potentially stay at the hotel again but not as half board
At the start of the 2nd week we found a cockroache in our room. The hotel brought us a can of fly spray and in the end agreed to move us. This was fine, however we spent almost 3 hours hanging around for the room to be ready. Appreciate that they tried to provide a solution but as a 4 star hotel would not have expected to have to move.
We were charged a 2 euros 56 mini bar fridge rental per day. We feel that when paying what we paid for the hotel that all facilities should be made available at no extra cost. "
"Very nice quiet hotel, suitable for older generation and families.Close to everything paphos has to offer, not siutable if you like lively in your hotel, entertainment very relaxed and no poolside activities which may siut those wanting a relaxed holiday.Bars and resuraunts are almost on the doorstep not affecting your effecting a good nights sleep.Rooms are cleaned daily, all staff are freindly and helpfull.Pool area is clean and impressive, food is varied and of a good standard.Overall a highly recommended hotel. "Nice beach just across the road, within walking distance of the harbour and resort centre. If you want to travel a little further the bus stops outside the hotel almost."
"Hotel was spotlessly clean and good value for what I paid.
The gym facilities were awful and it's the only Hotel I've ever stayed in that charges the guests extra for the sauna - this is really mean!
They were very understaffed at breakfast and staff became flustered as a result of being overworked.
Good value as I went through you, going to the Hotel direct would have been over double, I don't understand how that works.
It was full of the SAGA brigade which made me feel young again!
Shame about the cheesy English live music in the bar - traditional is so much nicer and why do they always water down the fruit juice at breakfast!!
Regards Mick. Michael Collins."
Martin from Barnard Castle reviewed the Aloe Hotel
"The hotel reception area and facilities were very good and the food for breakfast and evening meals varied and good. Good swimming pool, gym with limited but sufficient equipment, games room. The rooms were basic and a little dated but clean and did have air conditioning switched on on the 1st May.
The hotel is in a good location for either the main Paphos area or a quieter area to the east. One down side which is worse for lower floors is that the main road passes between it and the sea so there is a bit of noise if you have a sea view but we were on the 3rd floor and it didn't bother us."
Top Tip:
"We liked the Crocodile and Captain Hook pubs to the East. Generally the food was good but nothing stood out as brilliant. Suckling pig in one of the Greek Taverns between the hotel and Paphos was very good. And a restaurant called L'hombre was good. The food at Cavellinis was very good but service was slow. The Pelican on the harbour was good - especially for lunches."
"Certainly not 4 star as advertised. Rooms outdated and very small. No light on balcony and no & coffee making facilites. Childrens pool not very clean. Most of the staff were miserable."
