Joanne from North Yorkshire reviewed the Aloha Playa Hotel
"The hotel was no way 3 star, probably a 1 star and the staff spoke very little english. The window was smashed in the room and held together with selotape, the patio door was broken, kitchen was dirty and the balaconies were covered in bird muck and had birds nests (so you couldn't go out.)
Apart from that the hotel location was directly over the road from the beach and it was cheap and cheerful, to be honest we only slept and showered in the room.
Taxis rank was near to hotel to go to the Marina at night.
(It is what we expected.)

Top Tip:
"A row of lovely retaurants about 5 minutes walk (next door to Macdonalds.)
On an evening going out at the Marina is a must."
LINDA from CHILWELL reviewed the Aloha Playa Hotel
"We booked 3 rooms for our weekend break. 2/3 rooms were ok. They were on the 3rd floor and were fine for a weekend away break. The 3rd room had a very old broken kitchen units and cockroaches! After complaining to the reception they gave us a room spray which kills them, trouble is they failed to tell us that you musnt go back in your room for up to 2 hours after its been sprayed. Perfect when you've got children and its 11pm!!!! Finally they agreed to give us a new room so at 1.30am we were moving things from one room on the 3rd floor to another room on the 5th floor.
We also requested a cot but they didnt have one to give us.
The 2nd night there was a power cut in the hotel and they had no back up power supply. No lifts, no lights, no air con.
It might also be worth mentioning how noisy the hotel is at night. This wasnt a problem for us but some people might find the music pumping til early hours of the morning a little annoying.

Top Tip:
"just down the road from the hotel is a great restaurant called Shakespeare. good food and chatty owners. also as you walk out of the hotel is a great bar called co co's. if you need a taxi just walk less then 5 mins down the road and there is taxi's always waiting."
Janine from Nottingham reviewed the Aloha Playa Hotel
"Found the room to be okay and maids came in 3 times in a week. Lovely sea view although balcony a little small. People on the reception where very friendly as were the bar staff. Right across the road from the beach as the brochure said. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a cheap holiday."
Top Tip:
"The beach across the road was nice. There were quite a few nice restaurants nearby. Would not go again on the 2nd April as this is usually Easter and it always rains. We had 4 days of sun and 3 of rain"
"great place we went self catering at this apt/hotel nothing was provided in the kitchen in way of crockery cutlery pans etc etc good job we did not intend to eat in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Terence from Peterlee reviewed the Aloha Playa Hotel
"The Hotel was ok, however it is obviously old and could do with refurbishing, however the room was very clean, and the staff very helpful. All the rooms have a sea view which was fantastic. "
Top Tip:
"Most of the restaurents nearby serve well cooked basic food . Also there a lovely park about 15mins from the hotel."
Philip from Lancashire. reviewed the Aloha Playa Hotel
"The hotel matched its description as on your website. The food was very good, as was the service from all concerned. One review said that the hotel rooms looked a little tired and in need of some modernisation, we would agree with this comment but would expect that of a building 40 years old. However this would not put us off from using this hotel again in the future as all the good points outweighed this. "
Malcolm from Newcastle upon Tyne reviewed the Aloha Playa Hotel
"we got what we expected from the hotel plus a big bonus was the terrific view from the room we were given!
I have passed on your details to a friend as the arrangements were spot on"
Top Tip:
"Chinese retaurant in Bonanza Square had special 3 course for 4.20 euro!"
Michelle from Birmingham reviewed the Aloha Playa Hotel
"The hotel was excellent value for money. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a downstairs living and sleeping area and an upstairs washing and cooking area. It also had 2 balconys one with a gorgeous sea view. The only down falls were that one of the reception staff (big moody spanish man) was very ignorant and un helpful. Everything we asked for he moaned about, Another thing was that the maids didn't come everyday and finally when sun bathing around the pool because of the shape of the hotel itself the sun was limited as the shadow of the hotel soon covered the sunbathing area. The beach is only a few seconds walk away and there are loads of places to eat and drink on your walk up to 24 hour square and the marina."
Top Tip:
"The irish bar just next door shows villa games:) and near enought every other sport. Edge which is a bar just past 24 hour square. lovely place owned by really nice english couple. the worth the travelling from the hotel. Also the crocodile park is worth going on... cheap day out."
Adrian from Gloucester reviewed the Aloha Playa Hotel
"although checkin staff were grumpy as sin and the travel experience with thomsonfly was terrible, the holiday itself was fantastic the hotel was far more than we expected with maid service 3 times in the week and helpful staff. the room was fair with good levels of cleanliness a basic kitchen with double hob and washing machine. Will definately be going back!"
Top Tip:
