BRIAN from COOKSTOWN reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"Alondras Park is cheap and cheerful. The pools are great and you have no problem getting a sun lounger. The cooking facilities are pretty basic with just two rings and a toaster, but who goes on holiday to cook, and food in the area is very cheap. The downside was there was no entertainment in the complex and costa del Silencio is pretty quiet so it would not suit young people. "
Top Tip:
"The Harvestor Grill bar on the complex is excellent, fantastic food and great value for money."
Helena from Dublin reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"The hotel was a bit out from Playa de Las Americas and cost 23 euro or so in a taxi. However, other than that, the local place had quiet bars for couples/families and there was a bus that operated until half11."
Top Tip:
"The chinese buffet up the road form the apartment was lovely and great value. It was 5.99 for all you could eat!"
Rohan from Sheffield reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"Great accomodation, clean and spacious apartments with great pool area.
In walking distance of a few restaurants and local bars. Would recommend the tapas bar. Not really a resort for the young and lively but would recommend travelling on the bus to Los Cristianos. I think the hotel description re 100 meters to the beach is a little misleading as its not really a beach you could relax on for the day due to large rocks. You do need to travel to Los cristianos for a sandy beach, however the bus service from Costa de Silecio is really frequent. "
Wendy from Solihull reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"For a 2* hotel, this hotel has everything you need. The apartments are clean and spacious. The poolside is well maintained and while we were there never that busy that you couldn't easily get a sun lounger. The pool side bar does a good service as is open daily all day which i had heard before going wasn't the case. The apartments are close by to a number of shops and restaurants (the restaurant on site was excellent). Although there is not a sandy beach nearby a bus is easily obtained. We had great fun rock pooling at the beach that was only a couple of minutes walk away. All in all we had a great time and would recommend this for a cheap and cheerful get away."
janet from wellingborough reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"we found the apartments ok but there was a lot of local spanish living on yhe complex and at the weekend they were noisey and it went on till 2am which is not good."
carol from great yarmouth reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"been before and always enjoy but this year there was no entertainment every evening as stated in the brochures and on the boards outside the harvester grill restaurant it said nightly entertainment but there was nothing.very disappointed."

KAREN from SANDHURST reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"Staff very helpful, although actual apartments could have done with a bit of TLC - looked like they needed finishing off. The resort was very quiet glad we had a car."
ROBERT from LONDON reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"it was very good, very cheap accomodation in a very good state.could not expect anything better for that price that i paid.people very friendlly.the only thing i should say is that you wouldnt be able to find anything better for that price!!!! thats for sure!!!!"

"the beach is just 15 min away from the hotel by bus..and its perfect if you want to look around on your way there. and the price to las americas is just 1.50 euro one way...it works out much cheaper than having a much more expencive hotel somewhere closer to the beach + you get to see how the locals live!!"
susan from manchester reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"could do with a lick of paint and updating a bit, but you get what you pay for. I had a little trouble knowing who was staff as there was a different person on reception every day, I didnt find any of them very friendly. The maid service was very good, overall we had a very good week there. Most of the people we met lived in Silencio and made lots of friends english and spanish. we will definately go again."
Top Tip:
"we found a little restauraunt called El Patio Bar, the owner is called Willie he's from argentina, didnt speak much english but always knew what we wanted, his wife is pregnant so they will be leaving in march 08. You must go there before he goes."
Gemma from St. Leonards-On-Sea reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"This was an okay - average hotel overall. The staff were great, but the general condition of the resort was bad - okay. There was work being done during the daylight hours and the drilling usually started at about 9:00am and finished at about 6:00pm and you could easily hurt yourself on the various traps within the department (cupboard door falling off, screw sticking up out of the bathroom floor).
We found that if you mention any problems to the staff, then it will usually be fixed by the time you come back to your room.
The location was good, other than the odd demolished building. The beach is close (2 mins walk down the road past the mini supermarket) the water is warm and very clear, but no sand. Occasionally there is a beach dive from these rocks. But we never found out who was running them.

"If you want to get to Las Americas or Los Christianos, then hop on the 467 bus opposite the Chemist on the main high street. It comes past every 20 minutes and costs €1.20 per adult single. You can get the same bus back too.
They are full of sandy beaches and good Spanish restaurants.
For food a little closer to home, just walk up the high street and choose from a vast array of restaurant bars.
If like us, you are looking to stay somewhere to use as a base to see the island, then Alondras Park is a good option and value for money.

"this was a nice place to stay but i was told i would have two bedrooms and there were only one my son had to go in with my mum and dad as there was not enough room for him to stay in my apartment!also the showers were awfull other than that everything was fine."

"joes bar excellent night out nice english people"
Caroline from Ashford reviewed the Alondras Park Apartments
"Actually better than average as the staff made all the difference. The apartments were clean and well serviced, the staff were friendly and very helpful. We needed our shower mending on the first day but the repair man put a whole new shower in instead! Even the maids were chatty and took interest in our holiday changing the sheets and towels every other day - not something you expect from a mere 2* accomodation. Excellent restaurant on site with the Chef being flexible with his menu (my sister is Veggie, something not usually taken into consideration in Tenerife)"
Top Tip:
"Restaurant on site is excellent, good portions and good service and flexible with dietry requirements. Locally there is a little chicken restaurant (on the edge of the Coral Mar Square) owned by Andreas who has worked in London, speaks excellent English and loves it if you arrange traditional Spanish food, his half chicken and Canarian Potatoes is brilliant and a VERY reasonalble price, you also get starters of mojo sauce and bread for next to nothing if you order an alcoholic drink plus free local beverage after the meal - he's desparate for some Basmati rice which costs the earth in Tenerife so if you're going raid Tesco's and take him a pack!"
