"Hotel is running by two funny twins, it's in a quiet street (car vise) & it's next to metro service up the street, there's a bakery, supermarket, laundry & other good stuff in the same street toward Gard de Nord side. Check-in took some time, but receptionist apologized for delay. Our triple room (14 on 1st floor) was spacious I would say, but room needed some renew & bathroom needed more appealing view, not like in scout/student camp. Beside that, everything looked clean & good, room cleaned every day & towels changed as well. Breakfast "france" style: coffee/tea/hot chocolate/juice with butter/jam along side crouton & baguette...nothing special really. Most of our time we spent in town, so we're in hotel just to relax for a hour & sleep time. The stay was really pleasant & would book once again if needed. I would recommend hotel for younger people more & for people who just need warm place for a night. This is my first review, hopefully it'll help you with a choice."
Top Tip:
"If you want to see a lot in Paris with less walking, buy "Visitor Pass" which works on buses/metro & is unlimited times for that day. And you won't need to buy a tour ;)"

"The best train station is Barbes Rochechouart, just a few minutes away from it. One needs to be careful around the area and keeping a close look to your belongings is the best bet. The staff is OK and helpful. However, the hotel is very run down and needs lots of repairing and decorating.
I did not have any problems over there but would not choose to go back.

Note: The Travel Agents should quote the Metro station when they confirm the booking - This is just a suggestion."

"The hotel is located near the Montmartre which is a trendy and lovely area in Paris."

"Fantastic location! Bargain for where it was situated. Definatly No frills to the hotel, but it was clean and served its purpose."
Top Tip:
"just 1 minutes walk from the hotel is a crepe stand between two roads and under a bridge. It sells the best crepes!"

"Having read previous reviews of this hotel I was a bit skeptical about it. I was pleasantly surprised however. I was full aware that this was going to be no Ritz but I definitely got what I paid for. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always attentive to our needs. Our room on the 5th floor was good enough. Two twin beds, a desk, wardrobe, bed side tables, chairs, mirror etc everything you would expect. The shower room and toilet were great. Quite a spacious room in general and very clean.
Breakfast was standard and provided us with everything you would expect. A croissant, baguette, coffee, juice and a selection of jam and spread.
It is close to the metro and a 5minute walk from Gare du Nord. Bolangeries and supermarkets are a aplenty, and although admittedly not in the nicest of Parisian areas it was close to pretty much everything you would need.
In all I had a great time at the Altona made even better by our wonderful hosts."
Top Tip:
"A great little Bolangerie at the end of the road just before the G2 supermarket."

There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are many local restaurants within walking distance.

It is a typical, Haussmann-style, 6-storey building.

This is a good tourist-class hotel, offering all services you can expect from a 2-star hotel. It is located in a convenient area, yet within easy reach of all parts of Paris. (0508ADB)
