"Good family hotel,staff very obliging"
"Hotel accomodation was good, the apartment had everything that you would expect, however the beds could have been better. The pool area was good, if you had it to your self as it is very small."

"we stayed at the alvormar in alvor . It is very central 2 minutes to the all the resturaurnts and 5 minutes to the beach . The apartment was comfortable with all the basis amenities . It could do with a bit of updating but for value for money it was spot on. "

"The hotel was suitable for all age groups but at this time of the year it was pretty empty so I couldnt get a true idea apart from the fact that it was in the perfect location. We were right on the doorstep to all the bars and restaurants but believe it or not it wasnt noisy. The only bad comment I have got about it is that the outdoor pool was definitely NOT heated. The rooms may have been dated as other travellers have claimed but they were spotless and the maids came in every day. Alvor itself is a beautiful town and I would especially recommend it to those who are looking for a chill out type of holiday - definitely not for clubbers. Plenty of restaurants and bars to spend the evenings in - in fact we didnt eat or drink in the same place twice - too much choice. At this time of year there were no other children there at all!! although my fifteen year old just chilled out as well. Would recommend it more for couples or single older groups - would deffo return and would stay at Alvormar again."

"Accommodation was good. We did find the accommodation - 1 bed apartment was not available and a studio was offered for the 1st night. In the end we stayed in the studio rather than move but as we had paid for more we did feel that was not well organised. Nevertheless the staff are really helpful and we shall go again but book a studio and upgrade there if possible. "
"alvormar apts in alvor , basic accomodation, uncomfortable beds, some members of staff very helpful, some not so, its ok if you get a cheap deal, but not worth the money in the peak periods, personally i felt as though i was roughing it for a week"
"Very clean and well equipped apartment. Staff were always very attentive and eager to ensure a pleasant stay. Location was excellent, very close to restaurants and local shops. Beach was only a 10 minute walk away. Would highly recommend Alvormar Apartments and will certainly return next year. "
"A small and excellent hotel, spotlessly clean and well maintained close to all amenities and handy for the beach, restaurants and town centre. Alvor is a pleasant unspoilt wee town with none of the brash tackiness of resorts nearer the airport."
"visited in october 2007. room was both spacious and clean. maid service was everyday, making beds and cleaning. very near old town centre which was great. hotel staff were very helpfull. were given guest room to store luggage and shower before our flight home which was excellent. no complaints whatsoever."
"The location was fantastic, right in the middle of Alvor. The beds were very hard and there could be noise at night with guests coming in late. The only problem we had was that the hotel did not seem to have our reservation, however they had a room for us and once I had given them all our documentation they were sure they would sort it out."

"Apartments were very clean and in good condition, located in a quiet side street but within a few yards of the main shopping and restaraunt areas. The beach was a 10 minute stroll away and was absolutely fantastic. About 2 miles long, soft white sand with plenty of beach bars for drinks and lunches. At one end of the beach there were secret coves and rocks etc, well worth the walk along. "
"Very roomy apartment. Clean and kitchen equipment was excellent including kettle, microwave and toaster. Plenty of pots and utensils. In a good position for bars and resteraunts, taxis abd bus-stop."

"The accommodation was a bit dated but was very clean and the staff were really friendly. We arrived at around midday and our room wasn't ready which was a little bit inconvenient but we returned a couple of hours later and everything was ready. We stayed for a week. The only real criticism was that the towels weren't changed regularly and whilst we had 3 to start with as there were three of us, we had one removed and none replaced so had to use small hand towels."
"Hi there, had wonderful week in Portugal. Travel arrangements through you were the most efficient ever and we have gone abroad on holiday for almost 40 years! Hotel, flights, transfers all spot on and the costs were pretty good too! don't think we would like to go any other way now. No frills carrier was a very pleasant surprise and the Globespan staff (including pilots) were the friendliest we have come across. All in all a perfect time from first speaking to your very pleasant staff on the phone. so keep up the good work and thank you. Joyce & Bobby Dempsey p.s. my sister and her husband (mr mrs boyd) travelled through you in May earlier this year and agree with all of the above. "
"We found the Alvormar hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was well up to our expectations, maid cleaning was done six days a week. Really no complaints at all. We would definetely go back to this resort & hotel. Our room was no. 7 on the ground floor & the only slight annoyance about that location was that people tended to move their sunbeds & chairs from the pool area and sit directly outside the apartment which compromised our privacy at times."
