"The room was of good standard and a reasonable size. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink, and again was of good size. However, they do have this silly Greek rule about not putting toilet paper down the toilet! (They have a little bucket for it). Probably ignored by most people.
The blurb for the hotel makes great play of a friendly and family atmosphere. While the staff were OK, there was nothing special about this. The cleaning staff were helpful.
Breakfast is OK, but a little limited.
The TV has a rather limited choice (not even got CNN or Sky News).
The room was very quiet.
Location is excellent, being in the Plaka region, and very good for the historical sites."

"Only stayed here for one night as a stop over. That is all i would recomend it for, the room was quite small and although we did have a balcony with a great view of the acropolis it was locked so were unable to sit out and enjoy it. The breakfast was ok nothing special and the orange juice tasted like orange squash.
As i said great for a stopover, good value, right in the centre of Athens but wouldn't like to stay there for any longer."

"We arrived quite late and had booked a double room but found that they put us in a twin room. We were told that twins and doubles are the same! We asked to move but they said they didn't have anything until the morning and then they didn't know if it was possible for us to move then. In the morning I went to reception and the girl on reception was very helpful and we had been allocated a double room. We also found that the first room they put us in smelt absolutely disgusting of stale cigarettes. Apparently they do not separate smoking and non smoking rooms. The window was wide open when we got in our room but it still didn't stop the smell. Luckily the double room we moved to didn't smell!"
Top Tip:
"The hotel was very central and easily accessible to all the sites, within walking distance. There is a lovely restaurant opposite, a bit expensive, but very nice."

Property Summary

Location

The rooms are medium in size and tastefully decorated. Some also have Acropolis views. These cannot be guaranteed though and are allocated on a request basis.

The restaurant is loathed on the second floor of the hotel, it is medium in size and decorated in pale colours giving it a fresh bright feel. A hot buffet is served for breakfast.

This 7 storey building, situated on the corner of 2 streets, is typical of the area built in a fairly modern style with balconies on all floors.

The main advantage of this hotel is it's location which is ideal for those sightseeing in Athens. It puts the Old Town area of Athens, the Acropolis and Syntagma Square all within walking distance. Being in the Old Town Plaka area also puts a great selection of bars and restaurants at the guests disposal. Good value. (0708/AC)
