  • "The rooms were a good size and decorated in traditional Cretan country style. I would describe the hotel as basic but clean, and the owners were welcoming and friendly and helpful."

    "The beach and swimming were excellent and only a very pleasant five minute walk from the hotel. Plenty of places to eat along the beach front and an ideal spot to watch the sun go down"

Hotel Details - Amazona Hotel

The Amazona Aparthotel is approached by steps and away from the main road. It is 300 metres down a fairly steep hill to the beach, with plenty of shops and tavernas nearby. Agia Pelagia is 12 miles west of Heraklion and has a narrow beach running around the bay edged with tavernas. Shopping consists of souvenirs, gold and silver shops, internet cafes, an ATM and supermarkets.
