"We enjoyed every part of our Holiday. Our tickets were ready at the Airport, we had a good flight with Thomsons. The transfer arranged through Travel Republic was swift and trouble free with Resort Hoppa. We were on our way well before others. The Hotel received us at 23:50hrs and were very friendly & helpful. I had pre-booked a Mobility Scooter with Easy-Rider, the Hotel had this ready for me. The Room was very clean and easily met our requirements. The food was very good with lots of choices, anyone who could not find something to eat must be very fussy. The Chef attended the Servery frequently and was probing the food to ensure it was hot. The Pool area was cleaned twice a day. The pool bar offered food all day, & the Pizza bar offered food until midnight. The Entertainment the week we were there was very good, a really good entertainment. The Hotel had a pathway (with steps ) to the Beach, and even with the Scooter I was able to get to the Beach. The shops & market was just three minutes`walk. We would recommend this Hotel, and definately recommend booki9ng with Travel Republic. Our Flight, Transfer, & Accomodation went without a hitch. Well done to the team at travel Republic, who managed on the day of flight to add our luggage which I had missed off the form. We hope to return again in six weeks with our Family. Thanks again. "

"Where do we start? This hotel is by far the best we have ever stayed in!! 3*? more like 5. The views from the hotel are stunning...built on the end of the rocks it would appear every room has a sea view!! just superb! One point, if you get there and they offer you the annexe...DONT turn it down!! it is brilliant....a small block on its own even nearer to the sea!! The food was the best we had experienced at an AI hotel, always plentiful, always hot, always available! We arrived at 10.30 at night to be told not to worry...the pizza cafeteria downstairs was open till midnight! The rooms were spotless, as was the hotel and restaurant. Cleaned every day and new towels/sheets. There would appear to be no smoking in the rooms? but you dont need to anyway....you sit on the balcony! The entertainment was outside and seemed to be a full itinerary. Outside pool bar (3 pools) which was quieter than the inside one, although not a problem and didnt seem to be much of a que. Smoking is allowed in the inside bar and there is a lovely terrace just outside where you can sit alfresco!! Does take about an hour transfer time but it is well worth it. There are a vast array of shops on the doorstep of the hotel, bars, restaurants, hairdressers, doctors.....a real home from home!! So to sum up......excellent hotel...excellent staff.....excellent food ...excellent views.......area........price!!! cannot find fault with anything at all. If you get the chance to stay in this hotel, grab it!! We did take a tour around and saw the Canarious Park, Samoa (which is next door) and other hotels but this one is by far the best, especially location wise! Thanks so much Travel Republic!!"

"whilst staying at the america hotel we had a great time. The beach was great for our 2 year old, just a few steps down to a good cove. A trip over the rocks is worthwhile if you want a quieter beach.The restaurant got busy around 8.00pm so go early to avoid the rush. "

"the location was brilliant and the view from our room breathtaking the only complaint was that the standard of food was inconsistent sometimes very good other times not so good, although if you didn't find anything in the dining room there was plenty of good snacks to see you through the day, the drinks were spot on and the rooms spotless the staff were very helpful and pleasant, overall a beautiful hotel much more than I expected for the price I paid, it was a real bargain holiday."

"This was our 4th visit to Hotel America and once again we were not dissapointed!! We couldn't have asked for more. Staff very friendly . We stayed in room 838 and the view was spectacular..... can't wait to go back!!!!! This was the first time I booked the hotel through Travel Direct...what a saving... would highly recommend. See you in October!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Lovely hotel. Fantastic value for money for a 3 plus hotel. Well worth the money. Location was superb although small resort but as we were a family on an all inclusive basis it didn't matter really. Entertainment during the day was excellent, something for everyone including the very small kids. During the evening it was ok. Only downside was the food. The food that was cooked, was excellent and well cooked but there was lack of choice. That was our only grumble. But from a family of 8, not one of us had an upset tummy during the entire two weeks so excellent! Location to the beach was excellent although a pain with the steps and pram. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a family room and it was huge with a fantastic view! Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would recommend the hotel to anyone with their family."
"very good standard of hotel for 3 star food bit disappointing sometimes not much choice for vegetarian or children really but breakfast good choice and go to pool bar for toasties burgers etc afternoon tea and cakes and unlimited drinks and icecream for kids very spacious clean rooms good entertainment excellent location overlooking beach and sea ai very good would recommend for families and would go back but long transfers shared shuttle so would advse to get taxi "
"Great hotel for families, on beach, transfers take an hour, food good, ideal for children, lots going on for adults also. Rooms spacious and view unbelievable. Couldnt moan for a 3 star and the price we paid, would recommend !!!"
"Hotel America was what we expected so we were not dissapointed the only thing we found that the bar in the hotel was full of people smoking even though my husband is a smoker we could not sit in it .As it got cold in the evening we found apart from out side there was nowhere to sit .Also the transfers to the hotel & return journey with resort hopper was not very good and would not use them again ."
"Just back from staying a week at the Hotel America and have to say it did what it said on the tin! The hotel was better than we expected. It is a large hotel on a rocky outlet overlooking the sea. There are a number of steps down to a beautiful cove with sunbeds and parasols for hire. The hotel is very clean and well run, with the maids in every day changing towels. The rooms have everything you need and all rooms overlook the sea or beach. The food was ok, not a fantastic choice, but you will always find something! There is a seperate childrens section where they can have the usual, burgers, nuggets, sausages, chips etc. If you don't fancy anything from the dining room, there is a Pizza restaurant downstairs where they make fresh pizza, burgers etc. Another fab thing is that every night, in the gardens, there is a barbeque where you can have the usual fare. The burgers are fantastic! You are allowed 3 drinks per person per visit to the bar which is a lot better than some hotels we've stayed in. Only a 2 minute walk from the hotel you will find a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants. If you want to explore further, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel with buses taking you all over the island, all at very reasonable fares. I would definately return to this hotel and assure you you wont be disappointed!"

"This was a last minute holiday and we really did not know what to expect.We need not have worried! The hotel was fantastic, very clean and friendly with everything you could need.The food was good and no matter how fussy you are there was something to suit.Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels were supplied. The staff were great and always polite and friendly, there was entertainment for adults and children day and night, two large swimming pools and a childrens pool and the view was amazing. I have nothing but praise for this hotel, I have stayed in four star hotels which are not as good."
"This hotel is great value for money. It is immaculately clean and there is always loads of food and drink available for you to choose from. The hotel is situated right next to a little cove which is great for families. be careful though, as my daughter was bit by a jellyfish so this put us off a little. "
