"hotel was a few minutes walk to the trams or metro so suitable for visitors that can walk up a slight hill which could be a problem for the less active older person.
hotel was nice and quiet at night no traffic noise I am nearly 80 and would stay there again and I found the staff pleasent and helpfull and rooms clean and breakfast good"
Top Tip:
"use the number 22 tram to get near to river and castle area, buy a 3 day ticket at airport arrivals it will take you from airport on 119 bus and metro to prague centre and all your travel on trams metro and buses for 3 days"

"As smoking is still allowed in the bar area, the smell of smoke greets those arriving at the hotel reception. This was not the best welcome to get. We did not use the bar because of the smoke issue. There was very little room to put put clothes other than a hanging wardrobe and one or two small shelves. The breakfasts were excellent and the hotel very clean."
Top Tip:
"There are several locally used bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk from the Hotel. They weere all better value for money and hah outdoor seating."

Hotel Details - Ametyst Prague Hotel

Exceptional hotel in both standard and service, providing every modern comfort. Atmospheric cellar restaurant and La Galleria restaurant offering outstanding international cuisine. Bedrooms at the Ametyst Hotel Prague are very comfortable with parquet flooring, air conditioning and modern flat screen TV's. Hotel walls feature original paintings by Russian, Bulgarian and Czech painters, all for sale. In-house sauna and solarium (at small charge). In a quiet and pleasant area, only 20 minutes walk to Wenceslas Square, and with a tram stop 5 minutes walk away. A highly recommended hotel, very good value for money.
