"Fantastic weekend away.
Hotel located in a very beautiful boulevard with many of the embassies and 5 minutes walk from heroes square. It was a little outside the city centre but that did not matter as the metro was only 2 minutes walk in either direction and within 5 mins you were in the centre of Budapest. Very convenient for the open top sightseeing bus which stopped at heroes square but make sure you get the single decker as a river cruise is included in the price.
Breakfast in the hotel was good. Staff extremely helpful.
The reason I have only given hotel very good and not excellent is that the bar closes at approx. midnight and that was rather early if you fancied a nightcap before bed. I can find no other fault with it though and definitely recommend anybody to stay there. I would go back."
Top Tip:
"As mentioned above, if you are only there for a long weekend then go on the city open top bus to get acquainted with locations .
Castle area a must on th Buda side but the underground caves are indefinitely closed.
Do not expect good food in Hungarian restaurants. Food very fatty and bland. If you find a good restaurant then I would suggest you stick to it as we did not find one we liked.
Must visit the terror museum and if you are interested in Hungary's history during WW2 and during communism then leave at least 2 hours.
Ensure you find a restaurant for cakes. They are to die for. For example Cafe Gerbaud.
Visit the synagogue and take an English guide. It only cost £1 more per person and it is worth it. Garden of rememberance very moving.
Market worth a visit but not necessarily cheap and very hard to get prices down significantly.
You may have to sneak for a pizza to fill up! Unless you just eat cakes all weekend!!!!!!!!!!"

Property Summary

Location

These spacious en-suite rooms are French provincial in style with yellow painted walls and light peach furnishings. There is wireless internet in each room as well as satellite TV, air-con, minibar and room service is available. There is a writing desk and chair in the room. All rooms have balconies.

A modern stylish restaurant with dark wood floor, long large dining tables and retro chairs. The wide bar at the end of the restaurant has a glass back wall that looks through to the lobby. One of the walls is decorated in retro floral paper. The menu is international and there is a good wine menu.

A traditional building just 3 storeys tall.

A fantastic 5* hotel with a very pleasant outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy a meal or a drink. The rooms are of a good 5* standard and the restaurant is excellent. A peaceful location whilst still being close to many of the cities best attractions. (AHJ 06.08)
