"i would just like to say that this was the first time that i have booked a holiday online ,and i found it really strait forward and easy with travelrepulic.
The hotel apellis beach was a very well kept hotel,and the staff that i came across were very helpful and couteous.
Anna and George were very lovely people always having time for a little chat.
would definately use this hotel again."
Top Tip:
"top tip is to ask around for the caravan restaurant which is set off the main street right opposite the imperial hotel.we heard about it on the internet and i must sat they were spot on .
the ownwer is called hassan and when you arrive he will make you feel very welcome and you will be able to have a very relaxed meal .
the only problem you will have is getting away from the restaurant he will keep wanting to buy you drinks .......the food is excellent .......the only thing is when you get there dont be put off by the restaurants appearance ,it looks as though it could be a cafe but it is very clean and the welcome you get will make up for it ......do try it out it will make your holiday"

"A good walk from the town centre but a good circular bus service was the answer. There was the occaisional F1 driver having a midnight test run and a fight for the boiled eggs in the morning but other than that....."
Top Tip:
"Mike's Place, the one with the turtles was well worth a visit."

"The owners were very nice, indeed all the staff were lovely. The Hotel was clean and very well situated right opposite the beach. The room was clean and large enough for two but might struggle with three people. The bathroom was abit cramped and only had a shower which could have been better the shower head was small and kept swinging about making the whole bathroom a shower if you see what i mean. But on the other hand we did not expect 5 star luxury and we have been to Greece many times and this is the norm. The breakfast was a bit boring the same food every morning, not a great deal of choice either, only continental, but plenty of it, no hot choice. But the times of serving were good 7.30 - 9.30. Just wished it was a no smoking area.
The pool area was really nice, a good area with a bar service which closed after 8pm so no noise. There was an indoor bar as well do the imbibers could indulge themselves if they wanted to.
We would have liked air conditioning as it was abit stifling in the rooms at night. Fans could be hired but at 5 euros a day it becomes expensive over two weeks and they are not as effective.
But on whole a really nice Hotel with lovely gardens, bananas growing in the grounds and palm trees. many exotic plants for the nature lovers. Bus stops right outside which goes into Kos town runs very frequently cheap too."
Top Tip:
"There is a taverna close to the Hotel which has a Greek night on Wednesday and Saturday night. Not your usual greek dancing etc but singing, if you like Greek songs. Starts about 10pm well into the night. Not for us but might be for others.
Food there ok, sorry can't remember the name but its the first taverna on the road to Kos town on the left. You can walk into town if you are feeling stenuous its not that far.
We went to a beach walking the other way towards Tingaki its not far to walk and there are sunbeds obviously to hire or you can just sit in the soft sand. it is a sanactuary for the Turtles so be careful. The sea was really warm but you will need beach shoes to get into the sea as there are stones before you reach the sand.
Gets a bit windy on this side of the island, sea becomes quite rough but its great to watch. You can go on various boat trips from Kos harbour to Turkey, island hopping they run every day. The island is lovely you need to get a car and go see it for yourself, the people are really super, helpful and speak good English, but they really like you to say a few words in Greek, so get your books out before you go."

"We spent a week at the Apellis hotel and had a fantastic time. Although the rooms weren't air conditioned, we still enjoyed it. I's in a great location,with the sea opposite,and the beach not far away. Most of the rooms have sea view. Frequent bus service into the town,which is not that far away and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. The tavernas nearby where very good also."
