"Hotel was immaculate, rooms to very high standard in decor and cleanliness, excellent variety of food Only down side was the evening entertainment which was poor and not well attended so the atmosphere in the evening was not too good Fortunately we only needed to walk to the end of the street to enjoy quality entertainment at other hotels Always something to join in with during the day, which was not too energetic"

"We were greeted by very pleasant staff on checking in. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious. Comfortable beds and linen changed twice during our stay. Towels were changed when requested. Very obliging staff and always courteous. I would go back there without hesitation."

"Very nice reception but disappointed with room. Asked for top floor overlooking pool but got first floor over the pub next door. Would possibly have enjoyed more if got a room with any sort of a view. If you do go here make sure you deont get the first floor! Food is of a reasonable standard, pool NOT heated so go the beach (sea is warmer), which is about a 15 minute walk away. This is not a 4 star hotel, just look at the hotel a few doors down and that is only a 3 star."

"The food at the restaurant is varied but not very good. It doesn't belong to a 4 star rating. There was always a queue to get in and there were no description of dishes. The opening times were not long enough. If you arrived towards the end, there was missing food, crockery and cutlery. Every single extra had to be paid for : room fridge, safebox, even the internet connexion."

"Although rated a 4 star hotel it is more like a 3 star hotel. Restaurant too small for the amount of people. Had to wait to be seated for breakfast and dinner every day. The opening times for the restaurant were too short. Understaffed. Waiters at restaurant very plesant and helpful. Near to beach but no one mentioned that you would need to cross the railway to get to it ! Very difficult with 3 kids and all towels etc..... Beach not great .... with a camping backing onto it.... directly behind you .... no fence.....nothing. Santa Susana is a collection of hotels there is no town or any thing of any interest to visit. Sold as a hotel with wifi connection...during the 10 days that i was there it didnt work. They have a pay as you go internet computer available, which i believe that under the circumstances should have been available free of charge. I would definitely NOT go to Santa Susana again. "

"We stayed at this Hotel for a week, my family consists of me, hubby, 13 year old daughter,11 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. It was a lovely clean hotel with modern facilities(daughter loved the fact they had internet, she didn't miss msn after all). 5 of us in one room was not a problem as they had a large pull down bed settee and 3 singles. Food was good, plenty of choice every night and varied every night. Plenty of sun loungers round the pool all day, so no need to stake claim with towels(people still did, sad!) A lifeguard was on duty all day. The staff were very nice and the cleaners very friendly and super efficient. Santa susana was a lovely family resort, with good clean beach not very far from hotel. They had a train station in middle of town that was cheap and a trip to Barcelona is worth a day of your holiday. Hotel had entertainment but we tended to go for a wander most evenings and the Station pub next door to hotel is good for when Footie matches are on or for when you want a good cuppa, the Drunken duck is also worth a visit as the owner is a good character and his is a smashing place waith a cracking pint. I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday or hotel and we will be going back!!"

"Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. We had a Junior Suite for four adults which was very spacious. We stayed on a half board basis. Food was excellent at both breakfast and evening meals. Location of the hotel was very central. Sunbeds were always available around the pool. You could also hire mattresses for the beds at €1 per day (well worth it if you intend to stay around the pool all day) Would recommend this hotel to all ages."

"My husband and I stayed in the hotel for a week between the 13th and the 20th of June 208. The suite was nice, clean and spacious, overlooking the swimming pool. The food was excellent (dinner) BUT breakfast not very good: not much variety, and most of it not fresh. Juices were not good (kind of flavoured water). Overall breakfast was boring!! The hotel is v. near the beach, promenade, shops. Train station not v. far (a nice walk). Staff friendly. Entertainment good but the since most of the people staying at the hotel were old, there was not much activity and support for the shows :-) The children entertainments was great! Bad points for 4 star hotel: you have to pay for the fridge, you have to pay for drinks and water for dinner and again breakfast not v. great... good points: nice hotel, everything nearby. I would recommend the hotel for families with young children, for eldery people and for couples who want to relax in a calm environment (but not for those seeking real spanish evenings and environment, and young live environment). If I go back to Santa susana, I may saty in the hotel again BUT please be aware that Santa susana is much more suitable for eldery people and families with young children! "

"The hotel was excellent. I would advise a family room if you consist of more than two people. This provided us with a very modern well equipped room Ikea style. A fridge was a godsend as was the full length bath as the children do not like showers !! The seperate bedroom allowed us to put the children to bed and enjoy the balcony and our room without waking them. Linen was changed frequently and rooms cleaned daily. Definately 4 star. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the service at all times. The receptionists and staff spoke very good english and we were never short of a sunbed. The separate childrens pool was great and safe for a 5 and 3 year old. Our holiday was enhanced by the animation team who made our children very welcome spoke good english and were attentive at all times. My 5 year old loved Vanessa and she was brilliant with all of the children. The Kids disco was another great part of the holiday every night and the nightly shows were surprisingly entertaining. The bar staff were attentive and drinks were reasonably priced for a hotel. The resort itself was clean and tidy mainly consisting of holidaying families or older couples but there is some night life in the bars and one disco/nightclub if you want it, however the majority of the resort closes down before midnight. We had been in the Hotel bar until 1am but they're keen to close at that time. Trains to Barcelona for 6.20 euros return per adult allows you to gain a bit of culture. We would definately consider returning at some point. Overall a great holiday and despite having a 5 and 3 year old, very relaxing !! "

"Our hotel was changed at the last minute by Travel Republic and was a worry as I was taken two children and my elderly mother but on arrival to the hotel had allocated us in a low room; the hotel staff were very helpful as we arrived at mid night providing us with all our needs that night. The hotel was always clean and staff always friendly at all times. Our room was first class and provided us with very good accommodation We stayed on Full Board and the food that was provided was always different and well presented for the whole week and I had no complaints even with two fussy children as they were well catered for. Overall the hotel made up for the worry of the last minute change and I will certainly go to this hotel again. "

"we were denied our request for an upper level room and were allocated a first floor suite at the front of the hotel above a bar. This played loud music from 11pm until 4am every evening making sleep impossible. We were refused a change of room and the manager was very rude and unhelpfull and we were told to go away. Despite this , the hotel and the food in the restraurant were very good."
