"The hotel was in a perfect location on the beach with a number of good restaurants close by, the rooms were clean and the staff friendly but you do have to pay extra for air-conditioning which is not clear upfront and can be expensive. Apart from that it was a nice place to stay"

"Arkadianas was dirty, the staff very unhelpful and we were told the food they served was awful.

"We stayed at the Arkadianos Hotel in August 2008.Room was very basic, location was good. We stopped bed & breakfast but we found the breakfast was nightmare so we gave up after two attempts and ate in our room. Location was really good close to the beach and tavernas and reasonably quiet. We walked into Laganas along beach and came back by taxi which was a pleasant walk, if you like a stroll as we do, but we found there was enough tavernas and cocktail bars in Aghios Sostis so good for couples and families. People friendly and helpful and if we could get a good enough deal we would go back to same hotel, knowing what it was like, but maybe self catering."

"Very close to (right on) beach and overlooking beautiful bay was best bit, but hotel itself was tired and desperately needs complete refurbishment of rooms which were dark and dingy. Pools were OK, but half the sunbeds were broken. We went all inclusive but food was very poor, usually cold or luke warm and not much variety. Drinks were served in plastic beakers (including beer and spirits) unless you asked nicely for a glass! We certainly wouldn't recommend the food on the all inclusive and suggest better to eat elsewhere. Staff were generally pleasant and friendly enough, though some more than others. Resort itself is fairly small and not noisy (far enough from Laganas not to have to experience it, but only a 10 minute taxi if you want that sort of rowdy drunken Brit abroad nightlife). We only had 1 week, which was enough, 2 weeks would have been too much."

"hi went to arkadianos hotel, having looked at previous review i wasnt looking forward to it, but i was very wrong the hotel was superb the food was fine and the location was brilliant i would recomend to anyone to go there 7 lads had a quality holiday"

"hotel very relaxing and quiet probably because of the time of year. this was ok but if we had gone for two weeks it might get a bit boring. perhaps some form of entertainment a couple of times a week eg barbeque etc. the food was good but was a little lacking in meat, fish, eggs and cheese. hotel staff on the whole very helpful and friendly but as we had to prebook a taxi for 5.30am - not sure if the receptionist understood the time we asked for it but it didn't turn up! luckily another member of staff,just coming in from a night out, did manage to book us another one."

"Perfectly situated on the beach, lovely resort very greek not spoilt by tourism yet! Accomodation good in respect of greek accomodation! Did hear people moaning about their accomodation but having travelled to greece alot it is good in our opinion. Beach lovely perfect for kids sea very still and not deep for ages, pool at hotel lovely but turned costumes and t shirts yellow due to chemicals so don't wear anything expensive in the pool. All inclusive good but was nice to eat at other restuarants, some fantastic resturants all within 10 mins walk max. We did not pay alot for holiday so was happy to eat out occasionally for change of scenary. Only problem with food that I can say is there was no childrens section, luckily my kids love pasta, rice and salads but lots moaning about lack of kids stuff. My kids did want nuggets and chips on occasions and I bought from the restuarant and was good food but I can imagine if I had paid alot for all inclusive with 3 kids I would have been disappointed. Ice cream only included at 5pm and this was poor ice cream avoid it! Drinks OK beer was nice bottled stella, becks and local beer I have never had bottled beer in an all inclusive its normally pumped local stuff which tastes like chemicals so this was good.
On arrival we had hur delay and head chef wayne stayed open so we could eat which I thought was really lovely especially with 3 kids, he personally showed us around the resturant and how to go on and he does a great job of mixing greek food and english with the local ingredients he can obtain. Nice to have an english chef to helpwith translation. All the staff were friendly and polite."

"Couldnt fault the outside of the hotel. The pool area , the beach and the views were amazing. We stayed all inclusive but it was a complete waste of money. The food was attrocious, cold spaghetti bolognaise and liver an onions were the highlight of the week so comsequently we never eat in the dining room once. The rooms were also of quite a low standard. We had a constant invasion of ants and a smell that seemed to only appear after they had cleaned the apartment. The maids were very friendly but the rest of the staff were just rude. We had a very good holiday but this was mainly due to the fact that it is in a good location rather than the hotel its self!"

"food was excellent, the scenery was gorgeous and it was only a short taxi ride into laganas, staff were really friendly would definitely recommend. prob better for families then groups of younger people as it was really lovely and peaceful by the pool"

"Hotel needs uplift, first rooms shown very bad, second rooms shown bad, rooms very basic. Basically for our first trip to Greece we were very disappointed with the standard of the hotel and overall all inclusive package that we received. Choice of drinks were limited as were bar snacks. On a more positive note Staff were very friendly and helpful but limited to what they could do for us. Feel that the pictures of the rooms shown on website were not what we were offered. We did complain about the food and lack of variation and we were then offered al carte but this was on the fourth day out of our 10 day stay after we had eaten out a number of times. Unfortunately it was not what we expected our all inclusive holiday to be."

"Arrived to find our two rooms were disgraceful. One (childrens) was accessible by the restaurant balcony, the other looking on to a wall. Telephones didn't work and therefore couldn't contact our children. Complained and we were moved.
Communal areas not very clean ie slopes at the sides of the stairs to apartments - needed a good clean and mop.
Went all inclusive and food very basic and always the same - no variation and not suitable for children."

"I have stayed in Zante many times but it was the first time in this resort and hotel. Overall the hotel was nice and the staff were very friendly especially at the Breezer poolside bar, which had a great atmosphere. As this was an All Inclusive holiday both myself and my new wife found the food ok but it was very repetative and not really catering for the English client as normally in Zante you get chips with everything you order, however there were no chips to be found at the hotel unless you were willing to pay for them. The drinks were ok but as my wife likes Malibu we had to pay extra as it was not included as part of the All Inclusive package. The resort itself was very nice and was right on the beach and all the local people were very friendly. I would recomend this hotel again, however it would not be on the All Inclusive but we would go self catering."
