"Best find in Los Cristianos is a restaurant called Olivers. Near the Tenerife Sur apartments! Try it you won't be disappointed, might need a taxi to find it first time though!"
Elizabeth from STAINES reviewed the Arona Gran Hotel
"Food very good, hotel immaculate, kept very clean, rooms reasonably spacious compared to some other 4 star hotel rooms I have stayed in. Hotel at end of Los Cristianos about a 10minute walk to the resort centre which was lovely after dinner."
Top Tip:
"Fantastic Irish Bar called 'The Irish Times' with a great live band, two guys who were amazing, great atmosphere."
Doreen from Chillerton reviewed the Arona Gran Hotel
"Very good hotel - very clean and comfortable - staff very helpful - and food was varied and plentiful - would recommend to anyone.
My only criticism - if it is that - no kettle in the room - although you can buy a little one for 9 euros in the shop in their mall.
Also no iron - it was pricey for things to be laundered or pressed - when you take things out of your case you just like to run the iron over - did consider buying an iron!!!
Very good holiday.!

"They state that it isclose to the beach - and it is - but the beach leaves a lot to be desired - especially if you are not a 'pool person'`"
"Great hotel, very clean ,good pool area, good location. Sea and harbour views from the room balcony were great. We stayed with our children aged 17 and 14. Although there were limited activities for teenagers, they enjoyed the pool and gym.
Our only minor complaint was that the pool sun beds were difficult to get due to towels placed on them early morning. Guests were generally older and very pleasent.

"lovely hotel, but no beach to go on,however fantastic views from the room of the sea, very clean, great food, we are in our 40's with a 12 year old and found the entertainment more suitable for the older people, the majority of the guest were older, we also noticed a few wheelchair users who seem to manage well in this hotel"

"we had some great nights in an irish bar about 100 yards from the hotel, we stayed feb 13th-20th and the carnival was on it went past the hotel and was fantastic, all the locals took part younge and old, the floats, costumes and music was amazing, worth going just to see that,"
"Large hotel but very beautiful-- marble floors and staircase particularly impressive ;Restaurant good with varied menus and excellent buffets at Christmas and New Year. Pool area large with heated pools
Could not fault it .Many people return -- we might!!"
Top Tip:
"Great site at one end ot the bay looking to the harbour and central Los Christianos-- superb outlook -- probably best in rersort."
terence from Winchester reviewed the Arona Gran Hotel
"Lovely room with a view but buffet food really average- both breakfast and dinner were self service with foo0d sitting around not always refrigerated. A rather unrelaxing experience abd odd for hotel of this calibre"
"This is truly a lovely hotel, but unfortunately there was noisy refurbishment work going on during our stay and after only 4 days into our holiday we complained to the hotel management. The staff were excellent and moved us to another hotel in their group to complete our holiday. "
Philip from Southampton reviewed the Arona Gran Hotel
"Very nice hotel and facilities, good choice of food, spoilt by the the less than friendly staff and the early moring towels on the sunbeds. Although work was being carried out on the fourth floor bedrooms and the childrens pool area this did not present any great problems."
roderick from warrington reviewed the Arona Gran Hotel
"the staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them, the variety and quality of the food was of a very high standard(much better in fact than many higher rated hotels in which we have stayed).Overall an extremely well located, well run hotel....."
Gillian from Dronfield reviewed the Arona Gran Hotel
"Marvellous no complaints at all, lovely room, great food, I even received a free bottle of champagne as the 14th was my birthday. We stayed here 8 years ago & it's just as good now as then."
Top Tip:
"Good walk up the volcanic hill at the back of the hotel if you feel the need to get away from crowds. The Rumours Restaurant just across the road from the hotel serves great food & will cater for gluten free diets very willingly-recommended."
"The hotel was excellent! There was a great choise of food in the resturant at both breakfast and dinner (I went half board). The room I was in had a sea view overlooking the swimming pool terrace - with beautiful sunsets as a bonus, very romantic!!!

mary from port glasgow reviewed the Arona Gran Hotel
"Arona Gran is a brilliant hotel, the staff are very pleasant and helpful I will go back ,although I would like them to change their menu for dinner as it was fish and pork too often"
Sarah from St Albans reviewed the Arona Gran Hotel
"The hotel was beautiful - however some of the staff in the hotel were a little unfriendly. "
Top Tip:
"There were two lovely restaurants that we found. A seafood restaurant right at the end of the promenade that overlooked the harbour and the Ivy restaurant which was very small but served great food and was very reasonable."
"Hotel was of a very high standard. Very classy. Food and service in the restaurant was of the standard you would get on a cruise ship. Majority of people staying there when we were there were between 40 and 80. Not a place for young people unless you really want some peace and quite. Great for disabled people as access for wheelchairs everywhere. For a great sea view book a room on third floor or higher so it is no obscured by palm trees. Would definitely go there again. Many of the guests staying there were returning for the 4th or 5th time and one for the 8th time."

"For disabled people - local company supply electric wheelchairs. Find them on the internet at www.orangebadge.com. "
