"A very well run hotel that was well presented, clean and very accommodating I would certainly recommend this hotel Very close to the Main Square and willing to help with all the arrangements with regard to trips and your return taxi trip to the airport 10/10"

"Hotel very good and spotlessly clean. Our room overlooked the railway but air conditioning very efficient so you could close the window at night. Breakfast more suited to Continental tastes rather than British. Very handily placed for town, railway station and shopping. Staff very helpful and friendly."

"Really nice, modern hotel. Walking distance from the centre of Krakow and also walking distance to the main train station that you can take to get back to the airport. "

"The hotel was very clean but and made an effort to provide our special requests. However the room was very hot and air conditioning would of been very comforting. The staff were helpful but not the friendliest when approached. "

"the hotel was excellent. the location was a five minute walk to the main square. cleanliness superb. furnishings modern. staff were also excellent, helping to book trips to the salt mines or austwitz, nothing was a problem. The hotel has a small intimate bar which stayrd open until 11 pm. breakfast had a good selection - cereals, hams/cold meats, cheese, breads, salads, tea, coffee, orange juice, apple juice etc Both my husband and I both could not fault one single thing about the hotel, would definitely reccommend."

"A wonderful hotel, right in the centre of Krakow. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had high standards throughout. The breakfast was wonderful with an excellent choice of fresh food. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Krakow."

"Hotel Ascot is an excellent hotel. Great location and the staff were extremely helpful in every way. The bedrooms were large and great bathroom with a proper shower! Hotel kept spotless. Breakfast normal continental but with a good choice. Great location for the Old Town and everywhere. Five minutes from the railway station. It would be good to have a kettle in the room and also a refrigerator. Would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend to others."
Top Tip:
"Krakow is a great place. Loads of good restaurants, look on Cracow life for best examples, the Florentyna and Corleone were two ones that spring to mind. Take the public transport, very cheap, and extremely efficient. Don't visit Auschwitz on the last day, very harrowing but should be visited. We found a great little wood carving/model shop on Ul.Stradomska 9. Great Polish guy who speaks a little English but loves everything Monty Python! "Only 10 mins walk from main square(NE corner)In a Quite residential street 10mins from train and Bus station. Helpful friendly staff. Modern clean rooms. good buffet breakfast. Small smart bar (but closes at 11pm)would reccommend thisHotel . Trips can be booked via reception."

"we requested a quiet room and were given one backing on to railway line, also two single beds allocated one in a corner of the room and the other in another corner . when queeried this at reception they showed us the booking form and no requests were on it and because it did not say mr mrs higgins on form hence single beds"

"The hotel was spotless, the staff very friendly. The lady in reception was particularily helpful and had good English, which always helps!"
Top Tip:
"Dont go to Auschwitz by taxi, it is much cheaper to go it alone, and it feels like a bit of an adventure. Catch the 09.15 train (22 zloty) to Oscweim (just ask for return to Auschwitz), it takes about 1.5 hours. Then get a taxi from the station to Auschwitz 1 (15 zloty), you get a free bus to Auschwitz 11 and then get a taxi back to the station (15 zloty). The train back takes 2 hours, be sure to be in time for the 15.39 train back as this is the last one!. A very cheap day as there is no entrance fee to either camp."Ascot Hotel check-in Date:

"Good hotel, not been open that long and still trying to make a good impression, (and succeeding !) good breakfast's and friendly staff. handy free web access in reception, easy to find from the train station, with good access to the old town."
Top Tip:

"The hotel was excellent in every way. The staff were very helpful booking trips and arranging transport for us, nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were spotless and very nice - bathroom lovely. At breakfast there was an extremely good choice, maybe would have liked toast, but there was plenty of choice. As the hotel was situated so close to the city centre we couldn't of wished for anything better. I would definitely have no hesitation in recommending the Ascot Hotel and staying in this lovely hotel."

"Krakow was a wonderful city. There are so many lovely resturants and bars it would be hard to recommend anyone specific. There is so much to see. We were very lucky as apart from all the wonderful sites to see we had an excellent Christmas market and it snowed making the city seem magical. "this hotel is exceptional value for money being brand new with all parts actually working including the plumbing;it is however small but functional and well placed for the city centre.the bar area is virtually non-existant but Peter the well travelled bar tender makes up for that with his cocktails.be aware that rooms do not have air-conditioning which on the top floor(5th)i found rather stuffy-come mid summer it may be prudent to request a lower level floor.it is also worth requesting a street-side room as oppose to the railside where trains run 24/7 however there is good quality double-glazing throughout and a lift to all floors.There are no facilities in the room for tea etc.but do try their breakfast which is excellent.All in all this hotel gets my seal of approval"
