  • "On arrival the hotel looked ok, there are steps down to reception so wouldn't really suit special needs people. The steps are also a little dodgy. The reception was ok but isn't open all the time it shuts between 2pm-4pm every day. The receptionist was very nice spoke some english. The room was average, fairly comfy beds. the negatives were NO Kettle, NO toaster which you couldn't even hire either. Also bed linen was only changed once and towels twice. There was a problem with ants but som eboiling water sorted those. As it was only 1 key I suppose we got what we paif for although I have just booked for Pride in May for £450 for a week for two at a 3* complex. I go to Gran Canaria twice a year and have previously stayed at Barbados, Roque Nublo and Walkirias and I would reccommend those over and above the Australia apartments."

    "By far the best restaurant on the island is Restaurant Centrum which is on the first floor of the Yumbo centre. very pleasant, good price and excellent food we went there most nights. If your gay and want a good night out then try Rickys Bar and QE2 Bar. Also Bar Desire, Coco Loco and Fiction who have some very cute staff working for them."

  • "Dirty and smelt musty - looked as though it had not been occupied for months. We walked in and walked straight back out again and booked in to another appartment at the other side of town. Avoid it."

    "We have been in GC for 10 years - twice a year and neve come across such bad appartments. Even the locals know how bad it is. Shop around."

  • "we were given one of the old apartments.Spanish people were given the newly re-furbished ones.the maids came so early in the morning,we were still in bed therefore didnt get the sheets changed often.Otherwise no complaints"

  • "Nice appartment, big enough for a short stay. Beds not very confortable...whilst in bed we all need TLC from our mattress."

  • Top Tip:

    "Not far from the beach, a nice walk. Very nice restaurant in Yumbo center : the very good spanish restaurant MARTEL HOUSE. Good food and friendly staff. Who wants eggs and chips in Spain???"
