"Absolutely fabulous apartments and location couldn't have been better. Resort was a little smaller than anticipated and not a great deal to do - very little night time entertainment. The resort was extremely expensive - £130 for a 4 hour boat trip for 3 people! Would just like to comment that we booked the Barcelo Puerto Castillo apartments as opposed to the El Castillo bungalows which were on the complex adjacent to the apartment block. Initially we were given a bungalow (with cockroaches etc!) until we returned the following day and showed reception our accommodation booking receipt and they immediately moved us into the apartment which far exceeded our expectations. I understand the booking error was from Travel Republic so for future reference please ensure you are aware of the difference in these two accommodations. "

"It was our second stay the the Puerto Castillo Apartments and since our last visit they have refurbished them to a good standard. We stayed in apartment 4108 which is on the first floor and centrally located with both a pool and sea view. The pool was heated and the facilities of the main complex (located accross the road) are fantastic especially the Barcelo and Springtours entertainment team. There are some building works in the main complex being carried out, this didn't affect us but some of the guests staying in the main complex were unhappy. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here."

"Overall a beautiful holiday, hotel was very modern having just been recently renovated, very clean with maid service 5 times a week. Perfect location for a relaxing holiday in the sun. I have found a beautiful destination I will most definately be returning to. Enjoy!"

"Very helpful staff, very child friendly, high quality accommodation overall though did find the beds a little hard. Staff couldn't do enough for our one year old. Breakfast was lovely; didn't eat dinner in the hotel so can't comment. Cute enclosed playground for children. Great location on the promenade in central caleta. The proximity to the airport never led to planes bothering us much, and never heard any at night."

The complex is located only 7 km away from the Fuerteventura airport and 12 km away from the capital.
