"Meant to be staying at baron palms, but ths was alledgedly full so we were 'uprated' to the Baron Resort. Despite initial reservations, this hotel turned out to be excellent. Had pool and Sea view, food excellent, cleanliness excellent and service excellent.
Snorkelling by the jetty also superb.
Nothing bad to report on this hotel, would recommend it and would go back again."
Top Tip:
"The Egyptian restaurant on the resort is definitely worth a visit."
Peter from Gorleston reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"Hotel excellent but not near local shops etc. All inclusive very good and service excellent. No mention beforehand of long trousers being needed for gents in the evening though the women could wear shorts! House reef excellent and reasonable amount of sunbeds but people were putting towels on at 6.00 am and not using them till 10.00 onwards, the hotel should not allow this to happen."
karl from middlesbrough reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"Arrived at the Baron Palms Resort hotel just before midnight after a 5.5hour flight. Hotel lobby was fantastic - Morrocan style, adorned with marble from floor to ceiling and air conditioned. Proceeded to check-in only to be told there was no room and we were being "upgraded" to the sister hotel - Baron Resort! We were too tired to argue and only visiting for 1 week so grudgingly accepted. Baron Resort was infact a dated version of the Palms and contained significantly more Russians, however, we did have sea view (which Palms does not!). So, a word of warning, unless you book through Thomas Cook (who we discovered advertises Palms in their Platinum range - which appears to offer priority over internet based travel agents, then give this one a miss. "All inclusive grub was a bit tedious after 4 - 5 days. There was a variety of restaurants such as Indian and Italian, however, all food had an overwhelming Eygytian flavour. Mexican Restaurant in Nama Bay was v.good!
Definately recommend snorkelling in red sea - this was the highlight of the week for us and within 100m of hotel."
Christopher from Upminster reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"The hotel was very nice and the staff were polite and helpful.
The place is kept immaculate at all times which is is very good.
The pool was a good size and the private section of the beach was also very good although it did prove a pain to get beds around the pool.
The food in the buffet was ok, but not great by any means.

"The cab rank outside the hotel was very good, if you use the hotels service they try to charge you £7-8 for a cab into naama bay, when you can simple walk outside the hotel, chuck a right and get a taxi for 5 quid 90% of the time"
"Absolutely first class. The Hotel Baron resort was fabulous. The food and cleanliness was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpfull all the time.
After the initial problem at arriving at Hotel Baron palms, which we origionally booked, only to find out it was full on arrival (this we were not happy about at all) we were transfered to their sister hotel Baron resort next door which i feel is actually better situated. Our stay at Baron resort was faultless."
Top Tip:
"Snorkelling any time you liked straight off of the floating pier leading from the beach was an excellent opprtunity that not all hotels can offer. The snorkelling was far superior in the red sea to any other place we have snorkelled, it was amazing."
"all of the hotel was exceptionly clean, staff bent over backwards to accomodate your requirements, dining areas were very good lots of choice and food was hot."
Top Tip:
"walk towards the conrad hotel when on the beach keep walking until you come to the end/corner there you will find deserted spots for snorkeling sunbathing and feeding the fish is amazing .."
christine from walsall reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were very willing to assist with whatever you needed. All but one of the Reception staff were quite helpful and friendly. We were not told about courtesy facility in Spa until the after we had checked out of our room after pleading for several days to keep room for late check-out."
"Nice clean hotel - however, we paid for a deluxe room, not realising that this just meant "with a pool view". We expected the room to be deluxe as in more spacious. This wasnt the case. We have an 8 year old and were given exactly the same sized room as my sister and her husband, who dont have any children. The room was a standard double room and we were expected to cram in a single bed also!"
DEREK from MORECAMBE reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"on arrival we were advised by management there was no room available and we would have to stay at the sister hotel barons resort. we had a look and didnt want to move. after 3 long hours and our stubborness we finally got a room at baron palms resort. the hotel is immacculate with good amenities. food monotanous after a week, could do with more variety. entertainment in the evening not good. watch out for additional stuff which isnt included in all inclusive package."
Top Tip:
"the beach was lovely and very good for snorkelling so take your snorkelling stuff with you."
EMMA from ASHBOURNE reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"The hotel Baron Palms was great - fantastic food, with great variety at each mean every day. All fresh and the restaurant staff efficient and friendly. Room was clean and we had a cold meal on arrival as our flight was delayed which was a bonus. Reception staff not very helpful at all, which was disappointing as they should be there to help. Too much hassle re: massages and additional nights outside of the All Inclusive, however the all inclusive was extensive and had few restricitons. Not enough sunbeds, people were queueing at 7.00 in the morning to "reserve" sunbeds with their towels, and then not actually using them for a lot of the day. We went to the beach on a few days as we had no chance of getting a sunbed. I would avoid Naama Bay - unbelieveable hassle from the various bar and restaurant staff. I don't expect to be literally chased down the street when you have politely said no thanks to going in somewhere. Sharm is not a place I would necessarilty go back to however the hotel was great."
Top Tip:
"The indian restuarant on the beach, although not all inclusive was fab - and you get discount by booking through Baron Palms. Well worth a look."
"This was our 2nd holiday to the Baron Palms and it was every bit as good 2nd time round. We can't fault it for the service, friendliness, cleanliness, food, facilities, etc
A great relaxing holiday and we have every intention of returning"
"The hotel was excellent; good food, varied restaurants, everything was clean and service was excellent. The only thing was that the entertainment was very limited if you are interested in entertainment in the evenings.
The Beach was good and clean, and the reef was superb. "
STEPHEN from LARGS reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"THIS IS OUR SECOND STAY AT THIS HOTEL AND IT APPEARS TO BE IMPROVING ALL THE TIME, ALTHOUGH IT IS QUESTIONABLE AS TO HOW MUCH BETTER IT CAN GET!!!!!!!!!
P.S. USE SINAI DIVERS BOOKABLE THROUGH THE HOTEL AS THE TEAM THERE ARE AS GOOD AS YOU CAN GET ANYWHERE."
Top Tip:
"BOOK HOTEL TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT DIRECT WITH THE HOTEL AS THIS WILL COST HALF THE FARE THE AIRPORT TAXI'S ARE CHARGING."
Janet from Cleveland reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"The hotel was spotless, the staff always pleasant and helpful. If you consume anything from the mini fridge in your room you will be charged for the items when you checkout .You do receive two complementary bottles of water in your room on your arrival. In the restaurant if you ask for bottled water they will give you it and it's free. you get a card with your room number on which you hand in for free towels round the pool or on the beach."
Top Tip:
"You can use the outdoor pool at the Baron Hotel it's really warm about 30 degrees. "
carolyn from Tunbridge Wells reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"This is the second time we have visited this hotel and can only say it is faultless in it's attention to detail. The staff are very proffessional and nothing is too much trouble. Food great with plenty of choice. Will be returning next year without doubt.
We did not eat outside of the hotel as there was no need we found all we wanted within"
"Very clean resort throughout. Food quite good if becoming a bit boring after 2 weeks. staff and waiters very obliging and friendly without having to resort to bribes. Beach bar snacks however were limited and usually cold.
Constant attention from vendors and canvassers on the beach becomes a bit of a pain after a while but they are very friendly and always polite.
Lovely crystal clear sea and great snorkelling.
MAIN GRIPE: Quite a lot of Russian guests in hotel who show no consideration for other guests and are LOUD. Every night we were woken up by noisy conversation and doors slamming in hotel corridors. Also the dreaded tap dancing on the ceiling. Tip:- Ask for a quiet room in an upper floor."
"Our stay at the Barons Palms could hardly have been better. The staff were excellent and were only too eager to assist you. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean with wonderful grounds. The nearby beach was an absolute pleasure and is the first I have been on with waiter service!!
We would definitely recommend this to anyone."
Stephen from Dorset reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Food very good although by the end of the week was getting little repetitive still plenty of choice and good quality. We would definitely recommend this resort. Transfer from and to airport excellent and punctual."
Hayley from Ashford reviewed the Baron Palms Resort
"This hotel was fantastic, extremely clean, food excellent, the beach was lovely and the snorkelling top rate. This was my 3rd time to Sharm and definitley the best hotel so far. Would go back tomorrow if I could.
There were 9 of us in total and not one had any complaints !!!!"
Top Tip:
"The local spirits in Egypt are not great and Baron Palms was no exception. If you are fussy and like your specific brand then take a bottle with you and just order mixers. Have to say, the wine and beer were great and plentiful."
"This Hotel is really a great Hotel, Very clean, Everyone so helpfull, can't do enough for you etc.
Just one very small negative is although we did not wanted a relaxing time,
the entainment could have been a bit better."
