"We stayed at the Benal Beach Apartments in Benalmadena in a studio apartment. The apartment probably hadn't been decorated since the mid 1990's but was clean and had a lovely view over the sea with Benalmadena marina in the distance. The studio had a working fridge and crockery etc and we were even supplied clean tea towels!
It was about a 10-15min walk to the marina, and it was a lovely walk, along the promenade. Very close the hotel is a gorgeous park, called Paloma Park, where they serve the most wonderful cappucinos piled high with cream and sprinkled with cinnamon. I had a wonderful time on the holiday and I can't wait to get back!"
Valerie from Hartlepool reviewed the Benal Beach Apartments
"Disappointed with Hotel facilities, which were very basic. No Restaurant open during whole week of stay. Weather was not very good, and therefore unable to use pool, and private facilities to use gym and indoor pool were far too expensive for a party of three. Had to buy masking tape to tape up windows in hotel room as strong winds were making the windows rattle. Also had to buy cereal bowls for breakfast.
Overall would not book this hotel out of season again."

"we booked a room with sea view and balcony to our great delight we were given a room on the 9th floor which had a roof terrace, not only a sea view but view of the mountains, park and marina. Wonderful. The service was excellent. Hope to get the same room next time we book. We would also like to thank you for your service, we have recommended Travel Republic to many of our friends and people who we met in Benalmadena"

"Needs upgrading, especially the bathroom which was out of date. two grown men were given an apartment with a threequarter size double bed. Position of hotel very good and close to all amenities. Basic type accomadation which was clean with regular maid service. Large complex with many corridors gave it a feeling of being a rabbit warren."

"Great restaurant nearby called rodeo which catered for steaks only."
Philip from Blantyre reviewed the Benal Beach Apartments
"The accomodation was dated. Considering the fact that they were classed as 3 star, I was disappointed. The receptionist did not display an approachable manner.
The pool area was very good with several pools on offer, but due to the time of the year, most of the slides were closed. In addition, most of the sunbeds were locked up and could not be used."

"Bar 76. On the seafront. Excellent breakfast. Cheap with very friendly service."

"Having stayed at Benal Beach before we thought we knew what to expect, boy were we wrong. The appt was very tired and needed completely refurbishing.Wehad to report a leaky toilet and a faulty cistern, both of which were dealt with promptly by the staff.Certain things were missing which we have come to expect from Benal Beach,i.e. micro wave, elec kettle, hair dryer,t.v. or radio. We must have had the only balcony that did not see the sun all day.On the whole, not a good experience. Well you did ask!!!!!!!!"
LESLEY from ST ANNES reviewed the Benal Beach Apartments
"very large hotel and a confusing to find your way round.good facilities with brilliant outdoor swimming pool and areas around.rooms clean but basic with cooking facilities pathetic...an old kettle that you had to heat on stove.no proper cooker.nice area near beach and marina."
avril from sunderland reviewed the Benal Beach Apartments
"The rooms were basic but clean - no complaints. The pools were excellent, the kids just wanted to spend all day in the water! The only downside was that the big slides were only open on a weekend and only one of them was working! This may have been because we were there in September and not in the School holidays but we still expected them to be open every day. The location of Benal Beach is excellent. Its right in the centre of things, close to the beach and all amenities and directly opposite a fantastic park where you can find wild rabbits, guinnea pigs, cats, chickens, ducks etc! The kids loved it as you could feed most of the animals by hand! "

"There are lots of good restaurants nearby and would definitely recommend Sharvilles and Colters on the sea front. Fuengirola Zoo is a great day out as well as Tivoli World, which is great value at only 16 euro's to go on as many rides as you want! There is also Selwo Marine Park and Crocodile World, as well as a lovely marina. Something for everyone and would recommend Benalmadena to anyone. "

"had to waste half a day proving i was booked,
hotel kept asking for proof in different formats
after countless txts and telephone calls back and forward to the uk and fax attempts the hotel finally let us in, contact in uk confirmed the faxes were being rejected, luckily knew someone there with a fax machine was only when hotel was told that we would get the fax sent to another number they managed to find the reservation"

"Over the years we have stayed in many apartments in Benalmadena and this was the dearest and the worst studio I have ever been in. It was basicer than basic! No phone, No tv (unless you paid 27 Euros a week to watch spanish tv)There was a lamp inbetween the beds but not even a plug to plug it into!No iron (when I asked for one I was told none of the apartments had irons)No aircon. No microwave, the kitchenette had a sink and 2 rings, not even an electric kettle.I would say it was classed as a 3 star because of the gardens and the s pools not because of the rooms, I wouldn't even give the rooms 1 star and I would never stay there again. The Noise was really bad and went on till 7o'clock in the morning, the staff were ignorant and the room was filthy.Every time you went outside the entrance we were pestered with timeshare sales people."
