"The hotel was clean and bright, with friendly enough staff. Our room was very cramped, but had adequate clothes storage, air conditioning and a safe for hire. Where they would have put a fridge if we had decided to hire one is questionable! The long corridor to our room faced west with no ventilation whatsoever, and from late afternoon the heat there was absolutely stifling. We found the food choices for evening meals to be very limited and well below our expectations. In saying that, what WAS on offer was, for the most part, cooked well enough and the salad bar was good. The fresh fruit on offer was also very limited in choice and poor in quality. The entertainment on site did not tempt us to stay in the hotel."

"SOLANA Bar/Cafe/Restaurant across from the hotel was bright and spotlessly clean with very friendly staff - ideal for a nightcap on the way back to the hotel after a stroll along the prom to the New Town. "

"Overall the hotel was very good. Staff very helpful. pool area nice but had to be up early to get a sunbed. The Hotel only had about 20% britsh, rest were french, spanish or german. If you don't mind the French you'll be OK. Food great and plenty. Beach was 5 minutes down the road- great."

"Brilliant hotel,food second to none,staff very polite,rooms clean, cleaning staff cheerful and efficient.We will definately go to this hotel again.The hotel was close enough to all amenities but far enough to miss any late night noise."

"If you like sport, including horse racing try The Stretford End pub,a lousy name unless you are a Man United fan,but a great place to watch ANY sport or to have a holiday bet on the gee gees."

"The hotel is warm and friendly, food choice was excellent. Entertainment every evening, followed by a mini disco. Room cleaned every morning, clean towels on a daily basis. If you want to get a sun bed though, you have to be in the queue for 8am, as they are reserved, although the hotel does request that you do not reserve them. Doors to the pool opens at 08.30am. I would recommend travel republic as our holiday went without a hitch, we look forward to travelling with them again soon."

"The beach is within walking distance, lots of room and many bars situated close by. "

"An excellent hotel with good food.The staff try really hard to please. Upon our late arrival a meal had been saved for us in the dining room without it being requested..It was our wedding anniversary and the hotel left a complimentary chilled bottle of champagne in our room for us unsolicited.During our stay I was hospitalised and the reception staff regularly enquired as to my progress.The travel arrangements went as per schedule top marks to Travel Republic and the hotel.We have travelled a lot and found you are not guaranteed the best if you pay the most .This was a cheap holiday but we had outstanding service from this hotel and would definitely stay again."
Top Tip:
"Beware of the language barrier if you have to use the local healthcare facilities. I was hospitalised at The Hospital Clinica Benidorm with a bad chest infection.The service recieved at their A and E was excellent.The English spoken was good and their diagnosis very efficient.It was when I was transferred to the hospital room the problems started when it was found the majority of the nursing staff could not speak or understand English very well.This made you very uneasy as you were not advised what treatment they were giving you.As a trained nurse of over 30years I could guess but due to the language barrier not ask or get answers to my questions. There are only 2 interpreters who can speak on your behalf and they do not work at weekends!.There is no patients hospital guidebook to answer any questions so you have to rely on your visitors enquiring at reception on your behalf.The staff generally were friendly but their inability to understand you did not inspire confidence or speed recovery.The high costs of medical treatments generally at all establishments underlines the importance of having comprehensive medical insurance at all times. "

The Benilux Hotel is located within easy walking distance to the beach and to the resort centre with bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife. Services provided are of the highest standard.

Accommodation

All 216 bedrooms have a fully equipped bathroom, sat-TV (free), air conditioning and central heating, and telephone. There is a linens change 2 days per week and towels change 7 days per week. All rooms have a balcony.

Food & Beverage

The Hotel offers the conditions to fulfil all the needs of a memorable holiday. It has a restaurant with air-condition serving in buffet style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also a bar and a pool bar. Half board guests will have breakfast, lunch and dinner on Christmas day, special buffet dinner free of charge on Christmas Eve and special buffet Lunch free of charge on New Years day (01/01). Half board guests can also swap dinner for lunch on New Years day.

Sports & Leisure

The Hotel has a swimming pool and a childrens pool, a play-area for children, table tennis, billiards, video games, a TV room, and a sun-terrace.

Facilities & Services

Benilux Hotel offers various services and facilities, such as access for disabled people (but no specially adapted rooms are available), multi-lingual staff, 24-hour service, foreign currency exchange, laundry, baggage storage, safe deposit box (extra charge, paid locally), and baby cots free of charge. There is also a spacious garden. The Hotel also provides three lifts, night security, air-conditioning and heating in public areas.
