"Hotel is very clean; staff are helpful and is centrally located between the lively end of Puerto del Carmen and the harbour.
The hotel is situated at the top of a hill so may be less suitable for the elderly but it is easy and cheap to get taxis to and from the front.

"we only stayed for a short 3 nights i found the complex clean and will presented. the apt was basic and also clean and satisfactory for the money we paid. The location as indicated on your map is not quite correct and is slightly further back from the beach front up a very steep hill and i would say it would be difficult for infirm or elderly plus families pushing buggies. it was hard enough for us and we are fairly fit!!
we arrived late on our arrival and reception was closed, i had previously telephoned and had been given the gate code for entrance and our apt no. other people arrived the same time and didnt have their details, the phone numbers were listed on the door. which is fine if you have a phone to use abroad to ring - Thge reception i found to be helpful. overall although very short a pleasant stay and we wouldnt hesitate to stay there again."

"Having been to Lanzaorte for many years we have our favourite restaurants. There are so many to choose from and most are good but quite a few are not. We prefer to eat local cuisine the Don Quiote at the bottom of the hill to Bitacora in my opinion is excellent. Maritonis on the beach front is also good value despite the location.
Further down the beach towards San Antonio hotel is Terraza Playa on the beach side down steps onto the beach - lovely for lunch or evening dinner overlooking the sea, bit more expensive but worth it for the location. El Golfo in the old town is also another favourite, although we didnt get there this time. Thesse are all traditional canarian restaurants."

"More than happy with the apartment and the complex, we only paid £160 for one week, so was not sure what to expect. towels changed every other day and the room cleaned. would definetely consider going back next time we go to Lanzarote."

"The accomodation was very basic, dated and showing wear and tear. Shop on site only open one day during our stay. No food available on site.Restaurant on site closed. No entertainment on site either. Only TV channel available in English was CNN News."

"Most food in local restaurants was reasonably priced but drinks seemed to be very overpriced compared to England."

"accommodation was rather tired and has obviously not been updated / replaced in a long time! But it was clean. Have never met a more miserable receptionist in my life !"
Top Tip:
"avoid staying around the pool, unless you feel inclined to reserve your sunbed with your towel at 7.30am ! (what a bunch of sadoes!)"

"The apartment was clean but basic, the main disadvantage is that most of the apartments have a shared balcony/terrace.
The pool area was pleasant but if you want to sit in the sun you need to be up at 6am to reserve a sunbed as they were all reserved very early.
The complex is currently being split up and sold and they are only keeping the main block for tourists.
The aprtments are used mainly by first choice (falcon) irish and the place can get very loud and a little bit rough."

"Bus stop bar is well proced and friendly.
There is a polish restaurant in the old town which was very nice"

"very good value apartment. fittings a little frayed around the edges, if you've been to Spain you will know what I mean, but very clean and comfortable. only 10 minutes walk to front but hill is short but steep. not a big problem as taxis including tip from anywhere in del Carmen only cost 3 euros. we would recommend as long as no walking difficulties"

"Tinys bar near the mini golf on the front serves London Pride beer. no frills but good prices and a warm welcome from Steve as long as you like loud cockneys"

"I wouldn't reccomend this hotel, it was old and not up to a clas *** standard by any means. You couldn't close or open any doors due to hinges falling off inc exterior doors!!!! Also my girfriend got a nice surprise on our second morning to find around twenty cockroaches climbing on our front door, this due to the hotel janitors poising them at 1000 IN THE MORNING! There was millions of them dying crawling all over the apartments trying to escape.
If you want a cheap hol then thats what you'll get! However don't take the kids!!
The hotel is also situated at the top of a very very steep hill, which must be used to access the beech, not for elderly or pushchairs, disabled etc!
Beautiful resort though so you will enjoy overall"

"The Bitacora appartments were fine and the cleaning staff were very efficient and helpful.my appartment was cleaned reguarly(not that it needed it) and I always had a good supply of clean towels.Its rather a large complex but on the whole it was quiet considering its size.The bed linen was changed when needed.Apart from the hill to get to the appartment,there are many local good resturants and a fabulous safe beach to enjoy.For the price I paid I would recomend these appartments as long as you are aware of the long climb up from the beach and resturants..go on treat your self!!!"
Top Tip:
"There are many good dining places to enjoy good value meals and there is even a Mc Donalds near by(if you really must)but do try the many other resturants where you will be always welcomed.When you are there do try the "Star Bar"for a live drag/cabaret show.Its a family show and I can assure you a great nights entertainment,there is no entrance fee and you are only charged normal bar prices.If you say Brian (bus driver) recomended you then I'm sure Mags and Nigel will take good care of you.If you make you way down to the seafront and turn left and then walk along past Mc Donalds(UH!!!).You will then come to a road where there is a jewelers on the corner.Go up that street and on the right(upstairs) you will see the "Star-bar"..enjoy yourselves which I can assure you will.Also go on the volcano's trip..breathtaking!"

"Basic accomodation but quite well cleaned change of linen towels etc Pool size not too big but lounger space around the pool quite restricted especially when families "take over " areas. Wouldn't like to stay there for 2 weeks in the summer don't think there would be anough room unless you got up very early in the morning and reserved your area with your towels!! "
Top Tip:
"Nothing much near the hotel and it's ok walking down to the main resort, about 10 mins, but the walk back up is quite arduous as there is a steep incline at the beginning."

"Well situated in the town for access to the old port and its restaurants and also close to the promenade walks. Small problem of a couple of small hills up to the apartment for those who may have difficulty walking up or down a slope"

"The accomodation was basic and clean , just what we paid for. Although breakfast is continetal not many English folk around at this time !! To avoid Cardiac Hill come out of the main reception walk straight down the hill and then you next left before the little round about.Then go on about 50 meters and turn right you should see the Spar and follow the road down till you reach the main road, turn left for the Bars. The chinese at the bottom of the hill was great I recommend the sizzling duck. If you like live music then I would recommend Charlies Bar ."

"We enjoyed our stay in Lanzarote and thought the service in the Bitacora was excellant. There was 24hr reception, there was cleaners coming in every day giving us fresh towels and a mainteance man came in minutes when our light bulbs went.
The only problem I would say is that the apartments are at the top of quite a steep hill. This was not a matter to our party as we enjoy fitness and liked the excerise but if you were elderly and mobility was a problem then the Bitacora should not be recommended. Taxis are very easy to get if you did have trouble with the hill."
Top Tip:
"We went to many good restaurants,if you enjoy mexcian then Chiquitos (on the main strip) is excellant and good value for money. If you like live music then Mulligans (new town) is a brillant night out,everyone is friendly and welcoming."
