"Friendly small hotel. Basic, good value. Ideal base for touring this beautiful island. Some good restaurants & beaches within walking distance. Car hire recommended to fully explore the island. Breakfasts could be improved by variation, but were OK. We enjoyed watching the planes coming & going from our balcony & found this to be entertaining rather than a problem. All in all, a good holiday for us!"
Top Tip:
"Felt ripped of by taxi's from & to airport... 17 euros from the airport, 20 euros to go back!!!... Seemed excessive considering distance (3 kilometers max) ... Would recommend hiring a car to collect from the airport. Greekstones were very helpful & can be booked on line. Roads & hotel (fairly) well sign posted."

"I will never stay in this hotel again. Although nice and clean, but staff below expectations. The guy who works evenings (probably from 6.00pm daily) supposed to be receptionist and barkeeper at the same time, but every time I was there, he was drinking with other guests, often not even near the bar area, but outside the building, on the terrace. Because it was few problems with room facilities while I stayed there, I needed to ask him for help and sorting out the problems few times and it was quite embarassing coming over to look for him, when he was sitting at the table with noisy and drunk people. Never again!!!"
Top Tip:
"Excellent taverna near by, "Koutoupas Paradise", not to be missed! Very friendly staff, excellent food, beautiful views and the greek spirit! When we went there second time, they already remembered us. The last time we went there to say good-bye, we paid almost nothing. 20euros for dinner for two with wine and dessert! Acropolis also very nice, but twice that expensive."

"although we asked for a quiet room we were above noisy bar, but having said that a quiet room would not have had such good views.The hotel was basic but clean.The breakfast was disappointing as it was continental and of very limited choice.Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and was pleasantly surprised to have a very helpful rep by the name of Keith visit us at the hotel.We hired a car from Greekstones which was just down the road and they were very helpful."
Top Tip:
"All the local tavernas served good food and were very helpful especially Ammes.Where we were situated car hire is a must as the local area is very quiet."

"Quiet location in Svoronata, exploration with a car is well recommended as the island is extremely picturesque."
Top Tip:
"Ammes beach is ideal for a family with children as the water extremely shallow out to around 30m out."

"Beach at other end of runway to Ammes beach (minies i think) is great.
Taverna up the hill 200 yds from airport entance, on the right - Olive Grove. Best food we ate."

"Very quite hotel, dispite being 1 km from the runway. the planes did not disturb us at all. Charming Hotel a little 'tired' in places but very good sized rooms friendly staff and a large pool.
Breakfast can be boring as it is always the same, a little imagination would not go amiss.

We enjoyed it and would certainly return and can recommend it if you like the peace and quite."
Top Tip:
"Two great eating places not a stones throw from the hotel average cost of three meals including wine/beer 33 euros.

Would recommend a car as a necessity due to location and can recommend 'GREEKSTONES' could not fault them WWW.greekstones-rentacar.com"
