These booking conditions apply to all bookings made through Travel Republic Limited (Company Number 04853546) trading as travelrepublic.co.uk ("travelrepublic"). Travelrepublic publishes information about accommodation and its facilities, availability and price and enables you to make a reservation on-line directly with the accommodation provider. Travelrepublic is a booking agent for each of the accommodation providers whose accommodation is featured on this website. Your contract will be with the accommodation provider with whom you book accommodation.
1. Your Contract - The booking you place through travelrepublic is subject to English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
2. Booking Confirmation A contract will exist between you and the accommodation provider as soon as we issue an automated confirmation invoice by either email or by post.
3. Holiday price When you make your booking a deposit of 20% of the total booking cost is required. The balance of payment must be paid to us at least 12 weeks before the accommodation is to be used. If payment is not received by this date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled by you and cancellation charges will be due from you as set out in clause 5. Please note that bookings for trade fairs, exhibitions and special events have to be paid in full at the time of booking. We will inform you of this when you make the booking.
4. Amendment By You If, after the confirmation invoice has been issued, you wish to change your booking in any way, we will inform your accommodation provider of your request and will advise you if it is possible to make the changes. Please note that it may not always be possible to make the changes. Any changes to be made must be in writing from the person who made the booking. You will be asked to pay an administration fee of £20, and any further cost we incur in making the change. You should be aware that these costs could increase the closer to the departure date that changes are made and you should contact us as soon as possible to make the changes.
5. Cancellation By You - If you cancel your booking or part of it, you must advise us in writing and the letter should be signed by the person who made the booking. In general, you will be liable to pay the following cancellation fees as a percentage of the total booking cost, which are calculated by reference to the date when we receive written notification and the date on which you are due to arrive at your accommodation:
More than 56 days before arrival at your accommodation - 20% of total booking cost
56-43 days - 25% of total booking cost
42-29 days - 50% of total booking cost
28-15 days - 75% of total booking cost
14-0 days - 100% of total booking cost
Exceptionally, a 100% cancellation charge will apply regardless of the time of departure. This is the case in relation to both cancellations of non-refundable rooms (which are clearly marked as such prior to booking) and for all bookings during periods of trade fairs, exhibitions and other special events. If you have purchased holiday insurance you may be able to claim the cost of the cancellation charge.
6. Alterations by your Accommodation Provider - Sometimes your accommodation provider may need to make a change and we will let you know any important changes before you book. If you have already booked we will let you know as soon as we can, if there is time before your departure. In the unlikely event that your accommodation provider has to make a major change or alteration to your booking, we will offer you the option of accepting the change or cancelling the booking and receiving a full refund of all monies paid to us. We do not accept responsibility for any expenses or costs incurred by you as a result of the change and we do not accept responsibility for changes or cancellations that are due to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. These can include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, governmental action or accommodation ceasing to be available.
7. Complaints - Your booking is directly with your accommodation provider. Travelrepublic acts as agent for each accommodation provider featured on our website and our responsibility is to publish details about them, notify them of your reservation and communicate any changes or special requests. Travelrepublic accepts no responsibility for any aspect of your booking or travel arrangements. Any complaints or claims should be referred immediately to your accommodation provider who will be able to resolve the problem to your satisfaction there and then. If you are still not satisfied, then please write directly to your accommodation provider.
8. Passport, Visa and Immigration Requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. We will not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements.
9. Website accuracy We take reasonable care to ensure that the information published about each hotel, villa, or apartment is accurate. Facilities and amenities in accommodation may be temporarily unavailable for operational reasons. Where this happens we will do our best to advise you as soon as possible. We cannot accept liability for errors or omissions in the descriptions. Whilst we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of a service you have booked with us, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of re-confirming your booking at the correct price or cancelling it in full and receiving a full refund of costs paid to us on the date we inform you. If you do not contact us within 7 days on the date we inform you, we will treat the booking as cancelled.
