"GREAT HOTEL ,FOOD VERY GOOD, BIT OUT OF THE WAY FOR YOUNGER PEOPLE, SUITED US GREAT BOTH 60 +, AIRCON IN THE ROOMS NOT VERY GOOD, LOVLY LOCACTION, HAVE STAYED IN THE BARCHELO OPPISIT A FEW TIMES BUT HOTEL CALA VINAS KNOCKS SPOTS OFF IT, ALL IN ALL TEN OUT OF TEN."

"My partner and I have just returned from a holiday in the Calas Vinas hotel and both throughly enjoyed (both in our early 30s). The view is fab especially if you are on the 7th floor and above. We were on the top floor so the view was exceptional. We walked into Magaluf a few times which took us approx 15-20mins. Once we had a taxi back which only cost us around 5 euro`s. The food was good with variation everyday and not your usual junk food options that you usually have in All Inclusive. A word of warning for anybody who is not All Inclusive though the drinks are very expensive. The entertainment was ok (I have seen worse) and the animation team worked extremely hard. There was a grand piano in the reception bar but nobody played during our stay. Rooms were cleaned everyday. The area around the hotel is very quiet so if you are looking for a chilled out holiday with the hustle and bustle of Magaluf just a short walk away then this is the hotel for you"

"The Hotel is ok but it is not a 4* I would have said a 3*, the staff are a little abrupt and we did not feel welcomed, the hotel has had a make over but a very cheap and badley done, food was ok but nothing special, Wine & Beer ok but soft drinks all come from a Gun and I have to say not very nice at all the room was ok it did get cleaned but sheets not changed for the whole of th 5 day stay , hallways are dark & dingy and smell musty, there is a shortage of sun umberellas "22 "for the whole of the hotel and not enough sunbeds the best thing is the view from the room and down by the pool but you can't see it when you are lying on your sunbed as there is a wall, entertainment Team not great, on the whole we were very dissapointedand would not go back and I would not reccommend...."

"The stay was 100%."

"We did not particully enjoy this hotel. the food was poor and as we dont eat meat some days there was no fish option.however the wine was acceptable. We had a nice room beautiful views and near the lifts. One big downside however, their were no handrails by the bath or shower and as I have arthritus of the knee I was not able to bathe or shower, not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. itwas washdowns in the sink for me.In the time we were there we did not manage to get a sunbed, they were all taken by 8.30 in the morningThe enterainment was poor except for one excellent show (El DIvas)WE PAID 10 EUROS TO USE THE INDOOR POOL AND FACILITYS, but found we could not use the pool in the afternoon because it was full of children learning to swim. also the doors were open to anyone without payment."

"Reception were very welcoming.
Rooms were basic but spaceous
Hotel was very clean
Food was good
Waiters cleared the tables very quickly after you finished your meal.
Activities Team worked very hard to keep everyone entertained.
Beautiful seaviews from the rooms"

"Enjoyed the Hotel. All staff were excellent in the service they provided and couldn't be faulted in any way."

"Had a fantastic time. Hotel great. The staff were very welcoming on arrival, giving us a drink whilst we were checking in. The room was very good and a good view of the lovely bay. We stayed all inclusive and have to say the food was very good. Not much to do in Calas Vinas ( acouple of bars) but you can walk along to Magaluf, which was about a mile for entertainment etc. Overall we will definitely come back to this hotel, as one of the best we have been to."

"A nice typical 4 star hotel. Unless you intend to spend little time at the hotel opt for the all inclusive."

"Internally hotel & rooms were nice and also clean but the tiled pool area wasn't washed down daily & looked bit scruffy because of this - spillages etc. not cleaned daily. Very few sun parasols supplied round pool so loungers with parasols reserved from 7am ish to ensure getting one (even though beds not supposed to be reserved)! Food/drink was on AI basis which was good with good selection. Be prepared for lots of the older generation booked through Saga but not sure that hotel/resort is best suited to them as area is quite hilly/steep. Younger people may get bored as the resort is very small although Magaluffe is only a 4-5 Euro taxi ride away. Not sure that we would return but only because it is a quiet area."

"Lovely hotel built on the side of a cliff so enjoys wonderful views over the med. The all inclusive deal is first rate giving very good value for money and includes all drinks alcoholic and none. Food is of a very high quality fresh and provides a great range of choice with lots of fresh salads meats and a range of hot dishes including something cooked in front of you . A bit of a scramble for sun beds at busy times and could do with more umbrellas but the sun terrace and pools are clean well maintained with a life guard on duty. The hotel is in a very quiet bay with only another hotel and some apartments . It has direct access to a lovely small beach that is kept very clean the sea is clear but they do get jelly fish from time to time. Its not a hotel for the 18 + party animal who would fade in the gentle quiet that most residents come for, and there are only 4 or 5 small shops nearby with a couple of small bars. Its a nice 10 minute walk from Magaluf if you feel the need for the bright lights and a change of scene and there is a bus that stops outside the hotel and plenty of taxi's if you want to venture further afield but we had all we needed in the hotel. There is entertainment provided the usual pool activities for adults and children for 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon and a childrens disco an act of some kind in the evening, the usual hotel fare from the in house amination team who try hard to provide something for everyone . Its nice to sit out by the bar under the stars and chat and have a drink. We enjoyed it very much my two 6 year old's had great fun and we have already booked to go back again. Good value deal from Travel republic, great staff, fantastic location and very clean."

"The hotel is mainly comprised of OAP's although there were some small groups of young couples.
All inclusive is a far better option than hb or B&B (given exchange rates etc)
If not all incl. the cost of drinking in the hotel bar would most certainly be more expensive than the supplement to All Incl.
The selection of food was good, but last year was better. (Stayed in same hotel in May and Oct 2008)
Female staff very friendly, but most male restaurant staff were quite abrupt and task focussed in comparison.
Indoor pool required a better cleaning/maintenance schedule (This is part of my field of work, so i was very observant to this)
The views from this hotel are fantastic! and the housekeeping staff very efficient.
The entertainment team work very hard (even though 'entertainment' is a matter of preference)
The surrounding area has a couple of convenience shops and one decent british bar. Other than that, Magaluf is about a 15-20 minute walk away."

"A superb hotel with quite fantastic views across the Med from all of the hotels rooms. Only a 15 mins walk into Magaluf or there is a local bus service available. Food very good with excellent choice every day although breakfasts were a bit repetitive but again plenty of choice. Free tennis facilites on site and always plenty of activities going on every day."

"Lovely hotel, friendly staff, good food, and quiet when no school holidays on. i will be using this hotel again."

"this is a very good hotel with very good serviceetc look forward to going back"

"A fabulous hotel right next to the Med. Perfect right from the start when we were welcomed with a drink and cold towels. Staff always happy to help, lovely spotlessly clean and air conditioned rooms. Food a cut above the usual A.I. fayre. Entertainment staff worked hard in the day and evening entertainment was of almst a professional standard. Don't usually go to the same place twice but will be returning to the Cala Vinas."

"Great, but then it always is, I've been there eleven times before
- many with yourselves"

"I would rate this hotel 3 rather than 4-star.Food good and varied, but had to go across the road for a decent cup of coffee (ie,not instant from a machine in both both dining room and hotel bars).Dining room service v.g.,but room cleaning down to a minimum. I get the impression they are cutting corners to maintain a profit."

"An excellent welcome by the reception staff (drink and cool towel) set the tone at the hotel. Everywhere was very clean. All rooms had lovely views and ours appeared recently refurbished to a high standard. Meals were self service; food very good and restaurant commanded nice views. Hotel staff were all pleasant and helpful. Location made the hotel perhaps more suited to older people but young persons only have 20 minute walk to nightlife etc."

"The hotel was very clean and comortable. The Buffet food for breakfast and dinner was above average with plenty of choice and the food was well presented, fresh and enjoyable. Our room had an excellent sea view.
The entertainment in the hotel was what I would describve as basic and a bit dated. On two nights we had bingo, a quiz and 60's background music. However, Magulluf is literally a pleasant 15 min wallk or a 4 Euro taxi fare.
Drinks were very expensive in the hotel. During the day at the pool bar it was 2.50 Euros for a small plastic cup of beer or fanta lemon."

"This hotel was not of 4 star standard. They had a sauna but it wasn't opened because they didn't have anyone to manage it, the indoor heated pool was too hot (the hotel had to drain some water out and add cold). When the weather was good, we enjoyed sitting outside (outdoor pool)...the view was amazing. When the weather was bad....we had absolutely nothing to do!! We had to request for a kettle to be put in our room (it was supposed to be included), this took a day and a half to arrive.
The TV in our room only had Spanish channels, it took the engineer 2 days to come and set the English channels.
Magaluf was a 15 minute walk away...which was a nice walk, when the weather was nice.
Not a hotel i'll be visiting again.....it's too far from everything!!"

"Where to start. Food is excellent, buffet style, Wide choice. Free wi-fi internet in reception area (a bit hit and miss at signal pickup). Public pay/use internet pc's also available, 1 euro for 10min etc. Rooms are clean. Was put into room 400 below the entertainment area. First night not too bad, second night quiet, third night noisey. Requested move to another room, ended up in 821 at other end of hotel, which was very quiet. Would go back."

"Whilst the hotel is not close to a beach, it is very close to the sea with every room having a balcony with a sea view. I you want to swim in the sea yo can step off the rocks and swim accross the enclosed bay."

"Was really impressed on arrival as foyer/reception is stunning. I had a single room which was around the back of the hotel so, although nice modern room, it had no sea view but then the balcony did get the sun all afternoon and evening;-)
My friends were staying in the apartments next door which were no way as luxurious as the hotel but lovely balcony and view.
Food was varied, tasty and plentiful, staff were pleasant and helpful and the tennis courts were an added bonus
I would strongly recommend All Inclusive which, for us, worked out about £13.50 per day for Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, ice-creams, drinks (including cocktails) tennis raquets
Entertainment was geared towards the older guests which, for three days was fine but, could get a bit much for a week or more. There is nothing much out and about unless you venture into Magaluff (never again!)
We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend."

"The Hotel was very clean and tidy, the food was very good with plenty to choose from, staff where happy and helpfull, lovely views over the beach and sea, we would stay at this Hotel again."

"A fantastic hotel. Lovely sea views. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Lots to do for the children- Basketball, tennis, mini golf etc. The indoor pool is a lovely temperature and we spent lots of time in it. The outdoor pool is also lovely but a lttle too cold for me in April!. Food and drink of good quality. We were all inclusive which was by far the best thing to do at this hotel as the bar prices are expensive for those not on all inclusive. A pleasant 15 minute walk into Magaluf, but there is a taxi rank opposite the hotel for those who would prefer. The resort of Cala Vinas is very quiet which is what we wanted. There is a small beach about 50 metres from the hotel but we preferred to walk round to Magaluf where the beach is much nicer.
Nothing negative to say about this hotel really- although we did feel that there could have been more organised daytime and evening activities and the evening entertainment could have been better but that is our personal opinion.
I would definately go back to this hotel. I think it has recently been refurbished. The rooms are great. We had interconnecting rooms which is grest if you have kids. Also if you open the balcony doors you can listen to the sea it is that close.
I would recommend this hotel for everyone except stag/hen night, clubbers and maybe also parents with toddlers who are prone to wander as there is access to deep water on the jettys at the side of the hotel."

"hotel was lovely, maids always cleaning, staff polite, food ok"

"We had a fantastic holiday. The hotel was great, food was good for an all inclusive. We had no complaints. Close to the beach."

"Lovely hotel"

"We decided to go all inclusive, for first time ever due to the exchange rate. Best decision we made, food was amazing, a wide choice & freshly prepared every meal time, every drink you could imagine on tap too. Main restaurant is situated in the centre of the building supplying you with amazing views over the bay. Hotel was very clean and tidy, We couldn't fault it in anyway. But try to avoid staying on level 4 as it is beneath the restaurant and breakfast starts at 7.45am!"

"Both my wife and I had a stomach bug for two days although the food at the hotel was good."

"One of the best views from the bedroom i have ever had
Hotel food is buffet style but above average and a good selection"

"The hotel is in an excellent location right on the beach - however there are limited amenities close by (1 bar, shop, restuarant) however being All Inclusive these were not needed. Magaluf is only a 15 minute walk away alternatively the bus stops close to the hotel.
Waiting and bar staff very, very polite and efficient. Drinks and food were of an excellent standard. Never any problem getting a sunbed by the pool.
Only 'niggles' would be that as only the bar by the restuarant was open of an evening, this became very crowded. There was a lack of seating in the bar and around the lobby area meaning that seats were difficult to get, even though there was plenty of open space that could have been used for additional tables/chairs. I'm assuming that during the height of the season, both bars would be open at the same time so alleviating this problem. The 'entertainment' was rather absent on a couple of nights, a quick game of bingo and then a tape left to play to the 'audience', again I'm assuming this would improve later in the season otherwise I would not say this was a 'family friendly' hotel, very little for children to do other than run riot through the hotel causing a nuisance!
Overall this is an excellent hotel, quiet location offering good, varied food and drink, ideally suited to couples and people looking for a 'chill out' holiday."

"Just returned yesterday from a lovely break in Cala Vinas. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the room was spacious and airy, cleaned everyday and with a large balcony overlooking the sea!! I must also say how impressed we were with the quality and choice of food on offer for each meal, we have stayed at other all inclusives before and the choice is rarely so vast. Staff were friendly, especially the bar staff. Only downsides are that if the weather is bad (we had 2 days of rain, otherwise glorious sunshine and hot!) there is very little to do in the hotel, particularly for children/teenagers, as much centres around the pool bar during the day. Also, in the evenings there are not enough tables and chairs to cope with the volume of guests and so you end up either standing all night with your drink, walking around in the hope that you can grab a newly vacated seat, or give up and go to your room!! We realised that the only way to get a seat for the evening is to go into dinner early, and then you can grab one whilst most other guests are dining, this does mean that you need to have finished dinner by eight at the latest, which is not ideal when on holiday!! However, all in all the break did what we wanted, stunning scenery, quiet hotel and lovely weather and food. There are a couple of supermarkets for supplies, but if you are a smoker, be aware they do not sell cigarettes in either the shops or the hotel, but there is a restaurant over the road that has a vending machine. Nearby Magaluf is a 10 min walk down the hill, but don't bother! It's far too overrated and very tacky. For a taste of the real Majorca, hire a car and get out and about, the scenery is beautiful, we did for a couple of rainy days and explored most of the island. If you do hire a car, try to get one from the larger car hire place down the road, he is english and has a better choice and is cheaper than the smaller rent a car place next to the supermarket, where we unfortunately hired ours for 40 euros a day and it was a bit of a banger!! Taxis to and from the airport is about 40 euros each way, and takes about 20 mins. All on all, we would go back again as its a lovely hotel, but maybe on our own next time rather than with a 14 year old, as she did get bored sometimes!!"

"Well managed hotel with a wide range of age group staying there. food was very good with a wide variety. Staff were pleasant and helpful."

"JUST RETURNED FROM 2 WEEKS AT THIS HOTEL. HOTEL WAS FINE. TRAVELLED WITH 3 TEENAGERS, A 4 YEAR OLD AND A 7 MONTH OLD BABY. THE BEACH THAT THIS HOTEL WAS ON WAS NOT REALLY A BEACH TO SPEAK OF. NOT NICE SAND. NOTHING AT THE HOTEL FOR CHILDREN REALLY, NO GAMES ROOM FOR TEENAGERS. BABY POOL WASN'T OPEN. HOTEL IS RIGHT ON THE SEA SO WATCH FOR WANDERING TODDLERS. NOT REALLY A RESORT TO SPEAK OF. CAN WALK INTO MAGALUF, 15 MINUTES WALK. TAXI BACK 5 EUROS. IF BOOKING INDEPENDENTLY WOULD RECCOMEND TO BOOK YOUR AIRPORT TRANSFERS ONLINE BEFORE HAND. WE DID IT THIS WAY WITH SHUTTLE DIRECT AND SEEMED MUCH BETTER VALUE THAN RESORT TAXIS. HOTEL STAFF VERY FRIENDLY. WOULD RECCOMEND TO COUPLES RATHER THAN FAMILIES."

"As a couple in our 40's we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the room had an amazing sea view it was very clean and and furnished to a high standard, staff very helpful and the food was great. We would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel. It is about a 15/20 minute walk into Magaluf but there are buses and taxis available. We tried all inclusive for the first time which was great value for money. All the arrangements, the flights, transfers everything was spot on in fact we actually arrived back into Edinburgh Airport ahead of schedule. I would have no hesitation in recommending travel republic or a stay at the Cala Vinas Hotel."

"This is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in. It is about a 20 minute walk into Magalluf but the walk is really nice with great views. I will definatly be using Travel republic again."

"being out of season i dont justify a proper revieaw, but i must say the hotel suited my needs great balcony seaview , warm helpful staff bar and front of house, rooms were kept clean every day.it was a peaceful hotel with entertainment 3 times a week bathroom was top quality and good air conditioning if neededgood indoor pool ."

"Great value for money"

"The hotel situated on a hill if not by shuttle bus could have been an issue finding as it felt it was in the middle of nowhere. However, the hotel itself looked incredibly appealing on arrival as it looked posh and of good quality. Check In was quick with friendly service althought it felt that in order to have a conversation it was from our end to start a conversation. On entering the room itself, unfortunately we encountered a number of problems ranging from the mouldy walls and dirty bath to the blood stained bath curtains to dirty floors. The hair dryer and taps did not function very well as both didn't supply a strong amount of air/water. The bins were also full and beds were not made, the cleaners who came quick sorted most of it out although were quite rude. Except for this poor first impression, we found that the amenities of the hotel were outstandingly good, the swimming pools and gym were luxury, with some nice bars and services. The variety of food was impressive, with a delicious taste from steaks, fish, poultry, delicatessans to salads, vegetables and creative desserts. The only other problem was that when asking for a wake up call we were accused of stealing sheets which quite simply were not in the room in the first place, unfortunately the woman was quite convinced they had been stolen and approached it the wrong way. The views from the hotel are amazing, and the 12 storey hotel is modern, on the whole clean, and very pretty."

"The hotel was better than we thought it would be, the service was very good it was very clean staff were very helpfull. The location was wonderfull and all the rooms had a sea view. Will definately be going back."

"The hotel and location was beautiful. Buffet food was delicious( especially if you enjoy fish as most of the dishes contain fish) altho we do no normally eat fish we still managed to enjoy the food. All inclusive snack bar was handy to have but you could tell the food had been there for a while! magaluf was only a short taxi ride away costing about 5 euros. Near to water park which was brilliant. Apart from the childrens pool, there is nothing for kids to do in the hotel but we were aware of this anyway and still enjoyed our stay. We had lots of day trips to keep them occupied instead. the staff were very friendly."

"We've stayed in Cala Vinas for 9 days from 28 september till 7 october(2 adults+2 year old).Lovely views from the balcony(you can watch sunrise!).Staff helpful and nice(any problem solved in minutes).Room service ok.Downside is that there are twin beds in the rooms-no cuddling for couples in love:)))Food very good-plenty of choice of meat dishes,fish,veg,deserts-yummy:).Well,maybe on few occasions I noticed some dishes were bit to salty, but I use very little salt,so maybe it was just me.We went all inclusive-drinks very good too-not watered down like we experienced in other hotels-even orange juice like minute made.I must say, they really make en effort to keep guests happy(and we are pretty fussy).Big pool pretty cold, but not impossible to swimm in.Kids pool water temperature-ok,my 2 year old loved it..Warm water in the sea:)But-warning-watch gelly fishes! One bit me and it hurts. Cala Vinas is a quiet area, not many restaurants or shops(Which was great for us,as we wanted peace and quiet).Magalluf-taxi or longer walk away if you want to feel like in Brighton-90%British with pubs and clubs-not my piece of cake, but if you like noise and clubbing, watching tv in pubs-there you go!I highly recommend Hotel Cala Vinas, honestly."

"Food very good with plenty to choose from, staff were excellent."

"The hotel was very good, food was especially good, wide range to suit everybody. The hotel room was comfortable with lovely views out to sea, a beautiful sunrise in the mornings. We noticed that around the pool area it was a little neglected, quite a few cracked/broken slabs and could have been swept a little more thorough. Although we found the hotel to be in a nice quiet position, it was a little too quiet outside of the hotel, only two small bars that catered more for the pool players and football tele lot although the little spanish restaurant was nice for a quiet drink. apart from these and a chinese restaurant there was little else to walk too in the evenings. Magaluf was a brisk 25 minute walk away, but this was not our choice for evening entertainment. We hired a car for three days and visited other resorts which we preferred. This was our fourth visit to Majorca and would not choose this hotel again because of the area. If compared to the Barcello opposite I would not rate this four stars as the Barcello is more modern and has slightly superior accomodation, but Cala Vinas has a lovely position that faces south. The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed to be very efficient at the reception desk, we arranged car hire here very swiftly and with a good rental firm. Perhaps with a little face lift this hotel would certainly be a four star."

"Fully enjoyed our stay. A very nice hotel with excellent facilities."

"The hotel was in a picturesque bay, with a small public beach nearby, which you could either walk to, or swim to from the hotel. The food was great, and the whole place was clean and well-maintained. Activities were provided for families with young children, and adults, but no pressure to join in if you felt too lazy. I would certainly consider going back there again, but the drawback was that it was too far to walk anywhere in the evenings, and the hotel entertainment was pretty dire most nights. Buses went into nearby Magaluff and also into Palma, but not frequently, so make sure you check the timetables."

"Review from a a family with 2 children (1 yr and 3yr)
The hotel is in an excellent position, only yards from a small sandy bay. Idea tl for families with young children (but i guess not for young lively teenagers!)
I have heard it recently has undergone a refurb (i think it must be rooms only). The public areas of hotel interior/decor is slightly dated compared to some other 4* spannish hotels. The rooms are what you would expect from a spanish 4*.
Restaurant dinners are excellent. I have honestly say that we did not get bored of the dinners after two weeks (like we have done at other hotels). Plenty of choice of hot and cold food.
Room is average size with a mini bar fridge (free to use) and LCD TV (only English channels were News - but this does not bother us). The childs quick-up bed was fine for out 3 yr old, but unconfortable for an adult. Amazing views over the sea and bay - it was like being on a cruise ship!
The pool area is south facing with the sun all day. Very limited umbrellas so not idea for the children. We were there in September 08 and the pool was freezing - but the pools at the other hotels were even colder! Baby pool Ok temperature."

"Spent a week 5th-12th Septmber 2008 - very good accommodation - staff very friendly - hotel mainly Spanish but later a good mix with English - meals buffet service - evening meals very samey but okay for a week. Entertainment two professional shows otherwise inhouse. TV could be with having some English channels not just sky news!! Friendly bar just across the road. Wouldn't do boat trip around island again - thought it very poor. Taxis cost 35-40 euros from airport but worth it instead of coach. A good place to chill out and relax - beach not far away very easy to get to from hotel. Would recommend it!"

"Food was good enough but would have classed this a 3+ star rating.
Most annoying, was if you were standing waiting to be served, the spanish go straight to the front are are served by the staff!!!
Certainly go on a higher floor level for the views."

"My mother, sister and I had our yearly 'girls only' holiday abroad staying at the Hi Cala Vinas Hotel, Majorca - booking it only two days in advance. We really struck gold, having an excellent room with a sea view. The food catered for all tastes (wonderful cakes and puddings!) and the vegetarian in our party was particularly pleased, as she usually struggles to find a variety of dishes and in this case she had no problem. Any queries we had were quickly answered and all members of staff were friendly and helpful. Trips could be organised via a nearby agent and taxis ordered via the hotel reception. A relatively quiet location but more lively entertainment a taxi drive away. Fab entertainment for all ages and spacious lounges/dining area. We ventured out for three half days and enjoyed the remaining time using the hotel facilities. Highly recommended."

"Hotel was average and probably should be rated as a 3 star+ rather than a 4 star. This is in comparison with other 4 star rated hotels we have stayed in. Room cleaning was not good. Floor and balcony were not touched all the time we were there and underneath the beds had probably a full season's dust and hair underneath, something that was not realised until nearer our departure. Food was fairly good although a little repetitive but for a week it was fine.
Daytime entertainment was definitely geared towards children with very little for adults despite the fact that 'the cave' could have been a great facility for adult orientated activities and currently only used for the occasional archery or shooting session.
Evening entertainment: some good acts...some poor! Sadly there was nowhere else to go unless you walk into Magaluf. Not recommended unless you're into clubbing!
Nice resort for a 'chillout' week with hotel beautifully located."

"We were recommended this hotel and weren’t disappointed.
It was great.
The staff were friendly, the hotel was spotless, the food was of a good standard and hot.
We are going to book next year, cant wait."

"the Hi cala Vinas is a freindly Hotel which offers good quality accomodation although a littel out dated. The staff are freindly on the whole and the entertainment staff do well to keep the kids happy. The food is varied and always hot and well cooked, we went all-in and were well happy with the value this hotel offered. The hotel is about 10 mins from Magaluf in a taxi, enough to be out of it, but if the mood takes you could walk it. The pictures I saw on the web site really dont do this place justice, its set in an idilic bay with crystal blue waters and a sandy beach which is about 150 meters from the hotel. The pool did have a life guard on duty while we were there, its not a great pool for kids as it is to deep, but the top pool is for the kids. The mix in the hotel in July 08 was 1/3 rd English, Spanish and the good old Germans.
I would highly recomend this hotel."

"i thought the hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly, this was my 3rd visit to the same hotel so shows how much i liked it."

"Have stayed at this hotel 11 years ago. It's very convenient - in a nice, quiet residential area but within walking distance of Magalluf. (Bus to Palma from outside hotel). It's immaculately clean, the staff are really friendly, and food good (all-inclusive option seemed great value). Would definitely go again. Best of all Travel Republic price was £80 cheaper than other travel companies, for two people!"

"we enjoyed our stay had an excellent time"

"Fantastic service, freindly staff, great food. One of the best hotels I have stayed in, excellent service and food and non pretentious staff. Would definately go back here. Custard doghnuts at breakfast are a real winner."

"The rooms are nicely presented and modern. The food and restaurant service is excellent.
Good pool. Children's and Adult's entertainment quite good."

"rooms nice and clean, changed every day.staff nice too.food something for every one and pretty good."

"the hotel was excellent
I also booked the flights via yourselves aswell however this was not such a pleasant experience as I was not aware at the time of booking that there was a charge for taking luggage, having visited your site recently I note that it has now been put in bold lettering that backage needs to be paid for as an additional extra this however was not clear at the time when I booked the holiday. As a result we had to pay to take luggage something that we obviously hadnt budgeted for.
I would say this was very much so a low point of the holiday and we were certainly less than impressed."

"This was the ninth time I have stayed at this hotel which says it all - I like it very much and intend to return in September again
It is a high class hotel in a fantastic location
Every thing about it is ****
It is not suitable for people with walking difficulties"

"The Hotel was great but however, if you are poor at walking then you'll need a taxi to Magaluf which is about 5 Euro's per trip. The hotel itself is great and the staff friendly, polite and courteous if its just a chill on the loungers you need. Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. Food is sufficient dependent on what your tastes are. The week we stayed there was alot of spanish and french guests and the english were of a minority. This in all didn't spoil our week and we only wished we'd booked for longer. There is nothing in Cala Vines other that the cove/beach which is cleaned daily and a beautiful spot. Can't fault it and would love to go again.
If you need to rely on hotel entertainment then forget it, the couple who organise it though friendly provided poor entertainment other than the couple of shows bought into the hotel in an evening.
All Inclusive option well they can't serve you enough, even the bar staff once familiar with you just keep your glasses topped up. Excellent."

"A lovely hotel, in beautiful surroundings. I had a fantastic holiday here the room was really nice, with great sea views, andthe food was really good. with plenty of choice
to suit everyones taste As it was the very start of the seasothe entertaiment
was not fully in swing but this did not spoil my holiday in any way
thIs hotel is suitable for all ages< although teens and twentys would more than llikely
ldo into into magaluff at nightis which is a shor taxi ride costing around 4 euros"

"Perfect for famlies very clean excellent food good entertainment for all.
and we will certainly go back"

"The hotel was good clean and towels and bed linen changed reguarly, food good and plenty choice, all inclusive drinks were good for choice ,entertainment poor at night.
Hotel was still not fully open and the pool bar and indoor pool were still under refurbishment.Tiles around pool were in need of replacing as many were broken."

"very good facilites excelent for familes"

"Nice place, food reasonable considering is All Inclusive. Only let down by the Entertainment, the Kids Club and activities are poorly run and limited in scope. Adult stuff in the evening was OK, but over reliant on the piano player."

"Hi,
The hotel overall was excellent, the food was great with plenty of roast meats (turkey, beef steaks, veal steaks, chicken breast / legs,) you could not go wrong, also nice vegatables to go with them, plenty of salads, and there was so much to choose from at breakfast time. I could go on forever about the food. The service was superb all around including the room cleaners, cleaned everyday and changed towels daily, also sheets changed three times we were there ( 9 days). there was one or two individual bar staff that was ignorant and they found it was to much to help you, but most of them was great. the only thing to let the hotel down was the outside 'MAINTENANCE' when we got there the pool was fifthy with green scum all around the edges and in the centre, after a couple of days two men started to clean it after a fashion, but it left stain marks where it had been, also the balcony above our room (1015 ) had a great crack in it and everyday bits of cement was falling out of it, we noticed a few like it, and the lights outside above the hotel, the name had two lights out on the letters CA which had been out for a long time, the ceiling lights in the reception area etc, bulbs had gone and not replaced, it was silly things that let them down, COME ON CALVINA you can do it!! Also the all inclusive Coffee was disgusting it was always stewed up & cold, but if you paid for it there you had it done via a machine, again COME ON CALVINA you can do better. Would you please pass this on to the management and ask them to make the whole hotel 'NO SMOKING' !! because most of the hotel is 'NONE SMOKING' and the area with the good view for the entertainment was a 'Smoking Area'. But yes the hotel was great and we would go back again. I am a hotel inspector which I do spot checks in the uk, so this is why I am telling you about this wonderful Hotel, please get it right CALA VINAS!!! A nice walk into Magaluf & Palma Nova after evening dinner is just the trick takes about 30 mins to the centre of Palma Nova Great !!! Yours A. J. M"

"Fanstastic sea views."

"Very clean and friendly and a reasonable price."

"I thought it was a very good hotel for a nice quiet break with excellent food. Booking with Travel Republic is also very good and hassle free. Thank you."

"Very friendly and efficient maid"

"The evening entertainment could be improved. The room inside, where the shows took place, is too small and you can not see. It is as if the show is only for the smokers.
Shame the coffee/tea machine is not switched on at all meal times.
Shame food not served at the pool bar -you have to go up to the restaurant
Despite these things -which I hope are taken as constructive critisim-we had an excellent week at Cala Vinas and would not hesitate to visit again. The hotel is clean and comfortable and all staff are pleasant and work extremely hard."

"Hotel was very clean and there was an extensive choice of food each day. Only negative points are that there were not enough umbrellas by the pool to provide shade when needed and room safes had to be paid for."

"Very clean hotel, with very friendly staff. Plenty of sunbeds. Food very varied, Sometimes a little greasier than I would have liked but good quality."

"Food was not as good as Sol Hotels in Magaluf but very comfortable and staff were very helpful."

"we have stayed @ this hotel before"

"Staff were excellent and always helpful and room and hotel spotless clean Food good .We liked the fact that we could go on a sea cruise which picked up us at the hotel. Would definately stay at the hotel again."

"Camping Cypsela is immaculate with a great ppol area and ajoining bar/cafe.
Security is very strict allowing guests to relax without any form of rowdy behaviour and with the knowledge of a safe environment to allow the kids that extra freeddom without worrying if they are safe. Highly recommended. In fact we are returning again next year."
