"Hotel clean and tidy but staff not very helpful.Food was ok but could be more varied and hotter"

"The resturant doesn't seem to have much of a clue when it comes to catering, It felt like we were cueing up for prison food. and some evenings the food was OK, some evenings the food was poor/cold.
I won't return to that hotel again. not to mention the pool being freezing cold. the sea was warmer !!!!!"

"Hotel staff have always been very helpful and friendly"

"Staff could be more helpfull on arrival, complex is over three hotels and you are left to find out which one you are in and move luggage up a very steep hill with no help."

"Arrived at Captains - Commodore - Admiral Complex Hotel, but no room. Was transferred to Eleana Hotel down the road, more central & good location. Nice hotel, clean rooms, decent pool, seems to have been recently renovated, very friendly staff. Had room at back leading on to pool, bars/restaurants across road may have been noisy for front rooms.
Minor negatives - hotel charged 7 euros per night for air-con; also charges for fridge & safety deposit box; breakfast very limited - fine if you like ham & cheese toasties every day; also surrounded by smokers. Postives outweigh negatives and good value for a basic hotel."

"Staff at any of the captains/commodore/admiral complex are always very polite friendly and helpfull if needed."

"The facilities of the hotel were good, lovely pool, breakfast good etc. However, our room was rather basic & the bathrom door did not shut. Having reported this, it was never fixed & the staff at the hotel were friendly but not particularly helpful. There was also an issue with an incredibly noisy cockeral, who woke us up every morning at about 4am...
Overall, a nice hotel if you're an early riser, but not if you've had a late night.."

"The Commodore was almost at the top of a steep hill which elderly people found very difficult. I had previously stayed at the sister hotel (The Captains) so therefore knew what to expect. The Hotel was very friendly but very quiet. I would think younger people would get bored. My only other comment was that on the last day we were at the airport waiting to book our cases in when an earthquake happened. The Olympic rep did not know what the drill was supposed be as she said it was her first. People were quite frightened as it was the biggest earthquake in 20 years and was registered as 6.5 on the scale. I feel somebody should have taken the lead and talked to us. The communications were knocked out at the airport and the flight was delayed 18 hours."

"Had a really good time over in Zante. Hotel was good had nice pools to swim in. Food was good. It was the last week of the holiday season so there was less people and things to do but the greeeks are really friendly and heplful. Went on bus tour and cruise of island which were very good. Had a very good experince, recommend it to people that want a relaxing holiday, but not for those who are looking for a great lively night life."

"It was the worst place we have ever stayed - dogs barking all night, roosters crowing at all hours, we were right by the lift and heard every sound from holiday makers coming and going, music booming out through loudspeakers from the reception/entertainment room. My husband informed the reception staff that we were not very happy with the room at the Admiral but all he said was that it was an "upgrade" and better than the one we were supposed to have, this was worrying because if this was an upgrade what was the other room like!!. The entertainment "manager" was absolutely useless - he just amused himself and the bar staff, the bar staff just catered for the young girls. Fortunately we did not have children with us, those who did were most annoyed that nothing was done to entertain them. The pool, through some idiot smashing china in it, was closed at least three half days after two children were cut, the staff had no idea regarding first aid or how to deal with the situation. Staff, presumably of management level, just shouted at each other by the pool, apportioning blame no doubt, this while guests were arriving and must have been quite shocked. When we went out at night some of the restaurant personnel were quite shocking in their tactics and it was unpleasant walking down the road. The drinks at the hotel bar were certainly watered down and complaints were made. It was not a very nice resort - in fact, we would say it was specially constructed for holiday makers and did not reflect the lovely Greek people that we have encountered over the years. We were put into the Admiral Hotel, although we understood it was to be the Captains or Commodore. Breakfast in the Commodore was horrendous - the tables and food covered in hundreds of flies - they were even swimming in the jug containing juice (ugh) - needless to say we only went there once. Also, on arrival my daughter and I were stuck between floors in the lift because of a power cut, fortunately my husband heard us calling and helped us out - someone from reception came and watched while he helped us!!!! The lift should have been checked as a matter of course after a power cut."

"first time in greece, excellent people, food, hotel. no touble with booking in with TR paperwork. certainly go again. really good value for money."

"We had a wonderful holiday in Zante, staying at the Commodore Hotel. We found the staff were all helpful and friendly. We stayed on an all inclusive basis, and found the food was good quality with quite a variety of dishes which should please nearly everyone."

"The holiday was wonderful, the food, staff and pool at the hotel were lovely and the weather was great. Argassi is a beautiful place, as is the rest of Zante. I will seriously consider returning."

"Admiral hotel was OK for a three star, but the all inclusive package was not up to much. Extra 50 euro for air con, 5 euro for saftey diposit box, extra 1.50 euro for anything else like imported beers etc. Nothing knocked off during happy hour for all inclusive guests. They frequently ran out of draught cider and offered a bottle for the usual 1.50 euro, in the local super market you could get the same bottle for 1.30 euro. The 3 hotels charged differrent rates for the same drinks which we found strange."

"Great Holiday, friendly staff at hotel, room a bit shabby. Only problem was not being informed of the 90 steps to encounter 3 times a day if you went for all inclusive meals. Top tip use the pool bar for your brekkie and lunch then go for evening meal up the steps.
Overall a great holiday pool area was ok, nice resort area for families."

"This will be the third time that we have stayed at the Captains/ Commodore complex and it is always good. The rooms are cleaned daily, the food is great and the views spectacular. Our one small criticism now would be that the addition of all- inclusive means that the beer choice is limited to one brand of beer for paying guests too, plus they no longer chill the glasses, as all-inclusive guests have plastic, and the bar tends to shut early as the a/c guests have to pay after 11pm. As Half Board guests I felt that we missed out slightly."

"Argassi in a resort for all ages. Not too noisy but with plenty to do. We loved it. The complex was above average for Greece and the food first class. Some thing for all tastes and a vegetarians dream. The hotel was very clean and staff very helpfull. Each hotel had their own pool of which you could always get a sunbed no matter what time of day it was. We would certainly go back."
