"The hotel was excellent the staff very helpful and friendly. The room was excellent and clean with bathrobes as standard. The SPA was first class although very busy most times of the day. Excellent food and service in the Traditional Hungarian Restaurant, with a good selection at the morning buffet. Shame the night club is closed at present as it sounded very good. Would certainly recommend it if visiting Budapest."

"We can thoroughly recommend this hotel. It is well situated and close to good transport links. The staff were very helpful and made us welcome. Our room was comfortable and a good size for a city hotel. The facilities were excellent, including tea making equipment. There was an amazing choice at breakfast to suit every taste. It was built in 1896 and is truly a grand hotel. We would definitely return there."

"Excellent hotel in every way. They up-graded us without us asking, provided excellent service and made our stay a great pleasure. Their spa was wonderful, and open for 18 hours a day, so there was plenty of time to soak, sauna and swim both before breakfast and between a day's sightseeing and dinner. The breakfast spread was the largest ever seen!"
Top Tip:
"The tea shop of the Corinthia Grand - the Szamos Marcipán Confectionary and Cafe has a phenomenal selection of superb cakes at wonderfully low prices. 400 yards down the road is the New York Cafe, a little pricier but it probabaly is the "most beautiful cafe in the world" as its founders deemed it to be.
If you can still stagger to the Parliament Building after a surfeit of cake, take your Passport. If you are a citizen of a European country you get in for free, but still have to queue for your free tickets. The box office opens at 08.00, with tours in English at 10.30, 12.00 and 14.30, so the best plan is to get one of your party to take down all your passports by 08.45, before the queue forms, whilst the rest enjoy a leisurely breakfast. "This hotel is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The building is awesome, the staff are really attentive, the service is amazing, the food is 5* and the whole experience will blow you away. A proper 5* hotel offering a really warm welcome - you will not be disappointed.
3 of us went for a 40th birthday celebration. We were waited on hand and foot and has a brilliant time. The hotel is in a really great location. The nearest metro station is a 2 minute walk and the nearest tram stop is just outside the door. A taxi to anywhere is not dear though.
Will definitely be returning, a truly memorable experience."Top Tip:
"Try "BOK". Its a wine bar with a superb restaurant. The food here is traditional Hungarian with a twist and was mouthwatering delicious. Ask the waiter to recommend a wine and you will not be disappointed.

"The hotel has an extremely impressive lobby, opening right up to the glass roof above the 5th floor. Ambiance provided at night by the live lounge pianist playing in the bar.
Perfectly presented, beautifully furnished and great sized rooms. Beautiful marble bathroom with fantastic shower. The staff were all extremely friendly and willing to help you with anything at any time.
A little hot at night but first hot day of the year meant air con wasn't as cool as would have been.
A stay at the hotel allows access to the beautifully restored 19th century Royal Spa, with treatments available all day.
Cannot recommend the hotel enough, will most definitely visit again. Really excellent value."Top Tip:
"Really great location for exploring the city, the stunning Opera house is about a 5 minute walk away and well worth a visit, and a private box can be reserved for about £25 per person.
The transport links are excellent and really easy to use, with the main street being less than a 3 minute stroll from the hotel.
Fantastic architecture and art throughout the city, which you are bound to stumble across no matter what direction you're heading. It's well worth doing a proper tour to get your bearings and decide were to look more closely.
A Budapest card costs about £20 for 48 hours and entitles you to free public transport and a discounts to nearly every museum and attraction around the city.

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic in every way...it really deserves its 5*. From the champagne reception at breakfast, to the quality of the bedrooms and the helpfulness of staff, everything is spot on perfect. Particularly good features are the spa, which was almost empty every time I visited, and the evening atmosphere with the live pianist and the various restaurants to choose from. Also, the hotel has its only pattiserie which is also one of the best in Budapest. I've already recommended this hotel to everyone I know! Its in a great location and is fantastic value for money considering the good deal I got with TravelRepublic."

Location
All rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated in modern design and only the finest fabrics and materials have been used for the soft furnishings. Some of the rooms overlook the hotel's attractive atrium whilst others overlook the surrounding histroical streets. All rooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms and also offer room service, mini-bar, satellite and pay per view TV, internet connection and climate control heating.
The hotel offers a choice of three restaurants and one bar with a comprehensive selection of culinary delights from all over the world.
A modern, hugely impressive five-star deluxe hotel can be found behind a distinguished historical facade which is split into three parts by tall glass fronted atriums. The hotel is beautifully lit in the evening.
A beautiful property, restored to the highest standards and highly recommended for any visitor who wants to stay in one of the best five star hotels in Europe. The hotel also has one of the country's most spectacularly beautiful spas. The spa is free for guests although children under 16 are not allowed access. The spa has a breathtaking pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and offers a variety of treatments including massage.
