"1. 5 star in Greece is not 5 star in western europe. You would do well to remind people of that.
2. Umpteen Polish staff who can't speak English or Greek, therefore big communication problem with the guests as well as their bosses.
3. Swimming pool contained salt water!! That's what the sea is for. Swimming pools should be fresh water.
4. We had to change rooms after two nights because of the smell of the drains overflowing into our bathroom! And..........they admitted it was a regular problem (when the wind blew from a certain direction, can you believe it?)
5. Buffet in the evening was barely edible: Most guests ended up in Ouranopolis to eat there.
6. Couldn't cope with 14 nights there, so left a day early. Phoned up BA, got flights and left."

"Top tip: by all means go there; it's not a bad place, but it's certainly not everything it's sold as being. Beware!"

"First class location with everything you would wish for in a 5 star hotel"

"Hotel's own minibus service to local town 5 mins away enabled you to experience variety of Tavernas and good class restaurants.You can also hire your own motor boat for the day to explore nearby islands and beautiful beaches at low cost"

Eagles Palace Hotel & Spa commands a premier position near Ouranoupolis just 110 km away from Thessaloniki airport or one and a half hour taxi drive, through the picturesque villages of Halkidiki and the untouched beauty of the environment till you come across the legendary beauty of the peninsula with the secluded beaches. Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and all transfers could be arranged on request. Helipad available.

Accommodation

Eagles Palace Hotel & Spa offers guests 165 rooms, suites and bungalows, each room type showcasing its own distinctive design for elegant living. All equipped with air-conditioning, double or twin beds, safety deposit boxes, beach towels, hairdryers, mini bars in-room, butler bath menu, balconies or terraces which pay tribute to the view.

Food & Beverage

Catering for all tastes and occasions, the divine creations in the restaurants of Eagles Palace Hotel & Spa, are the envy of every connoisseur. There are 3 restaurants available for different tastes for our guests: Melathron: Serving breakfast, lunch & dinner with Greek and continental specialties. Garden Restaurant: Serving lunch and dinner with Greek and continental specialties. Pool Restaurant: Open for lunch and dinner with grilled a la carte dishes and seafood specials. Guests who book on HB, are entitled to Buffet Dinner. Guests who book on HB Premium are entitled to a four course set menu in the a la carte restaurant.

Sports & Leisure

Situated on a lower level of the Hotel area, just next to the beach, is the large area of the seawater pool with a smaller, shallower pool, specially made for children. With an extensive water sports center on the beach, tennis court, the beautiful free form outdoor swimming pool plus the contemporary fitness club with powerplate, aerobic and aqua classes, Jacuzzi and sauna, offers guests the opportunity to improve their physical condition and experience total relaxation and visible rejuvenation. Other sports available: Table Tennis, Tennis Court, Beach Volley, Jet Ski, Canoe, Wind Surf, Sea Bicycle, weights. Also a diving center and a SPA center with special treatments, by Elemis care, are available for the hotel guests.
