"Kefelonia is a beautiful island, and the little port town of Fiskardo is very picturesque, and perfect couples seeking a romantic retreat, with nice chilled our bars and waterside restaurants. Its nothing like other mainstream 'chav' Greek resorts. The Emelisse Hotel is a real 5 star, and runs a shuttle bus to and from Fiskardo, or if you feel like a stroll is 10-15 minutes away. The rooms are luxurious, it has a large and slick infinity pool, and open air restaurant, with perfect views of ocean."
Top Tip:
"The best restaurant in Fiskardo is called Irdis. All the restaurants have similiar menus, but you'll really notice the difference at this one - the food is in the Premiership division!. Try the grilled shrimps, scallops or sea bream for a real treat!"

"It's situation is fantastic, it's staff were very obliging and cheerful and the food was wonderful. Apart from the beds being too hard (I gather since this is not uncommon in Greece) we couldn't have had a better time."

"The hotel was excellent - no complaints about that. However the flight was poor - we paid over £400 for our two tickets - which is hardly no-frills prices - and we weren't even given a hot drink on the plane let alone something to eat. The only thing MyTravel airline gave us was a four-page 'Customer feedback' questionnaire which extended way beyond our view of the flight to questions such as 'what is the combined income of your household' - which was annoying."

"Nikolas - away from the rest - does a mean Kleftiko."

Emelisse Art Hotel is located on the shores of a magnificent sweeping bay nearby the north outskirts of Fiskardo. The Emelisse is the latest hideaway of all three hotels. Situated on Emblissi bay, camouflaged among cedars and cypress trees, it is ready to welcome you in a breezy lobby with a glass of ice cold cucumber water. It is only 1km from the village of Fiskardo, 1 hour from Argostoli airport and a 40 minute drive from Sami Port.

Accommodation

Styled for tranquillity, with natural materials and earth tones, show obviously that detail was the primal goal. Teak wood furniture, Korres cosmetics and all the facilities (mini bar, air conditioning, heating, radio, safe box, hair dryer, Satellite TV, DVD player, CD player, direct phone, Internet access, balcony or terrace) make an ideal setting for your stay.

Food & Beverage

A great variety of appetizers, salads and main dishes is prepared by the hotels` chef, all of which are unique in taste. At night 250 candles and hidden lights create a romantic atmosphere in the alleys and in the restaurant area. The restaurant situated on the rocks edge seems to be floating above the Ionian Sea and offers a breathtaking view of the sunset, of the sunrise and the surrounding islands. The Emelisse Hotel compromises two bars and two restaurants. In addition there is a new restaurant next to a recently built swimming pool, in the hotels`effort to further satisfy customer needs.

Facilities & Services

Furthermore: 6 swimming pools, a tennis court, a fully equipped fitness room and other resort activities, such as scuba diving, boat renting, bike renting and mini cruises guarantee that you will plenty to do with your time.
