"Definitely one of the cleanest apartments I have stayed in. The apartment was very spacious and included television (refundable deposit for the remote), kettle, toaster and microwave. Maid service 5 days a week (not Wednesdays and Sundays). I booked self catering but did have breakfast a few days - average menu for only €5. I did hear reports that the evening meals were not appetising. Extremely close to Apar/Netta and some very good, reasonable restaurants. As I went later in the year, there didnt seem to be any entertainment on. The pools were clean and reasonably warm."

"it was ok quite basic but roomy. i suppose the reason why it seems basic is more the fact that it is just apartments, its definately not a hotel. it didn't really have alot of atmosphere, but it was nice, very central and next to two beaches. i had a lovely holiday. i would recommend these apartments, but i would say that costa teguise is not an upmarket resort which is a bit of a shame as it is really pretty. by the way the pools were nice although again quite basic surroundings. one was slightly heated."

"The Galeon Playa is surprisingly large inside but understated from the outside.It is well located between two beaches.Our apartment was a decent size with a twin bedded room & bed settees in the living area.The complex was in need of renovation but there seems to be work going on to do this.There are plenty of sunbeds around the pools but the water was FREEZING.So much for the heated pool!The resort is good for families but not so much for younger couples.All amenities are nearby.The complex was OK & we may go there again but hopefully it may be in better shape.Don't let my comments put you off it's really great for families"

"The hotel in general was fine, we stayed half board and the breakfast and evening meals were fine & the kids were able to have something different each night, the hotel bar was very quiet but that was what we expected at this time of year although it would have helped if the barman had a bit of banter about him!! dont think I ever saw him speak to anyone except taking orders. The swimming pools were fine and large enough although the water was a bit on the cold side especially the kids one, infact freezing would be a better way to describe it. Our room was clean and tidy and the hotels location is excellent and central with beach on one side and pubs etc on the other"

"Would not advise anybody to use these apartments on a board basis - the food - what there was of it was not fit to be served to school kids, (lack of choice, cold, not appetising at all). We did complain to the rep who advised the only alternative was to put us up in the sister hotel which was at the other end of the island or upgarde which would cost us more money(not happy as we paid enough for the holiday. The Scirocco was not suitable as it had no facilities near it. We ended up going out for meals."

"I was quite worried after reading some reviews.
We went as a family, with aour 7 year old daughter and my father in law, who is a "senior". The resort suited all of us.
Part of the cpmplex was windy, however the pool we used was very warm and sheltered.
There is entertainment, as with most things you get out of it what you put in. The entertainment was available but many people were not interested. We made the most of it and Ysella was great with My daughter even though she was often the only child to go the kids club. the play area was safe and well equipt, suitable for younger children with supervision. Just outside the Galleon bar, there is a galleon play area for the kids to play. we only used the restaurant for breakfast as options were limted in the evening. Some great restaurants near the beach front.
We would go back."

"We had a lovely holiday, went without the children for a good rest, really enjoyed it. The apartment was great basic, very clean and clean towels provided etc. Hotel staff very friendly, when arrived not happy with the hotel view asked the staff and the changed it no problem. The atmosphere in the apartments was nice, it was really nice and quiet. I would consider going there again and taking the children.

My only grumble was the flight back was delayed and the I do not think I could fly Thomas Cook again, seats so cramped and clostrophobic felt like screaming to get of the plane.

I would certainly use travel republic again."

"This was our first visit to Lanzarote and we had a great time. The hotel staff were very friendly. The rooms cleaned 5 out of the 7 days we were there. Cannot comment on the pools as we prefer the beach (which was lovely apart from the massage and sunglasses sellers). We can't wait to go again and would stay at the Galeon again."
