"Very impressive when you enter the hotel reception area and all staff were very welcoming and friendly. Fast check in and a bell boy took our cases up to our room. Our room was big with beamed ceiling and a huge bed. There in August so the air conditioning was very welcoming. The room was very clean and toiletries replinished each day. The restaurant is on the fifth floor with a wonderful view over Florence towards the Duomo. There is also a big roof garden on the top of the hotel again with wonderful views. After a full day sightseeing we would go and sit in the roof garden with a drink (bar attached) and try to identify all the buildings we had seen that day. We were on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast was very good. Lots of fresh fruit, a huge bowl of fruit salad, cereals, ham, cheese, bacon, boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. Lots of pastries also. The staff were very friendly and service was excellent, making sure the food did not run out. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. We would definitely return."
Top Tip:
"Very good value were the many small restaurants in a small square around the back of the Lorenzo market. Some of them had no cover charge."
