"Having read some reviews when we 'googled' the Grand Hotel, we were initially concerned that we'd booked the wrong hotel. How wrong we were - the hotel was luxurious, friendly, helpful, efficient and everything was great. Only problem was no tea/coffee making facilities in room but we were prepared for that and took our own travel kettles. Room service was efficient, so there wasn't a problem."
Top Tip:
"Chopin concert at Polonia House. All restaurants were great. Advise other people to take taxi to Auswitz as our trip was too long on coach visiting other hotels picking people up. Cost is a bit more but well worth the expense."

"i read the reviews before our trip, and after having stayed in the Grand, i have to wonder if those who marked this hotel down, actually stayed in the Grand Krakow.We could not fault the hotel in any way, the staff were extremely helpful at all times, the room excellent, towels and sheets changed every day. the public areas were a credit, as befitting, a once, royal palace. the breakfast, either hot meats or cold continental style was constantly replenished and of high quality. the reception staff orgonised our trip to Auschwitz by private car with english speaking driver, who was extremely knowledgable and helpful. the hotel location is 50 mtrs to the main square. i have stayed in many hotels throughout europe and can not recommend this hotel highly enough. If you are considering staying at the Grand dont hesitate, you will not be disapointed."
Top Tip:
"if you come out of the side entrance of the hotel and turn left there is a church, to the right of the church there is a restaurant (cant recall the name) with a blue neon sign, excellent polish food and excellent service, beetroot soup, hamhock, and tirramasu to die for."

"Excellent location metres from the main square, this hotel is top notch, 5* - the staff were very good. We upgraded our room to a fantastic spacious living quarters. It was like we were in the Royal suite (12A). Breakfast was plentyful and varied for all tastes. Bar prices are high but what do you expect in a hotel of this quality. Although an established old hotel, didn't see any signs of ageing."

Property Summary

A traditional building typical of those in Krakow's old town.

Rooms vary in size however all have high ceilings so all seem spacious. All are decorated in a grand style that is keeping with the style of the property and offer all the facilities expected of this category of hotel. The bathrooms are of a good size and standard.

The hotels restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and decorated in an elegant style. A range of local Polish and International cuisine is served here.

An excellent property with a fantastic location - ideal for those that would like to spoil themselves and explore this fantastic city. km 02/07
