"Nice hotel great pool - although it had several different restaurants the food was look warm & not as described - the Italian restaurant had fruitti de mare pizza (which I love) only to arrive as a pizza with lots of cheese & 4 prawns!!! Other than that the hotel was very nice. The service seemed to reflect what room you stayed in - 1 time we were kept waiting & in fact shouted at to just sit & wait (which we did) only to be continuosly apologised too once they realised we were in the penthouse rooms. I would prefer to be treated politely & equally regardless of what room you're in."

"The Hotel was good with very nice swimming pool. Room was large and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Hotel is not in the center of Cairo so you would need to get a taxi to go to Egyptian Museum etc."

"The hotel was great, good staff and facilities. The room was large with a good ensuite. The check in and out was very easy and travel arrangements were easilty organised with the hotel staff. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food. The whole hotel and grounds were very clean and the gardens were immaculate. I would definately stay in the Grand Pyramids hotel again."
Top Tip:
"There was not much around the hotel but taxis were on hand to take you to the local markets. try and find the oldest tea house in the market... its been open for over 200 years everyday."

"Have stayed in 7 hotels in cairo in the last year, this has to be the best allround value, friendly helpfull staff. Excellent gardens and pool area (very rare in a city hotel) most are cramped and have no open aspect. 10 minute walk to pyramids"
Top Tip:
"Like all hotels in Egypt the price of alcohol is expensive best to avoid if you are on a budget. EG: 1 bottle local lager is 25le (approx 2.20GBP) this can be purchased closeby for 6/7le (55p to 60p ) If you need a chemist try to find one in the back streets as there is a very big difference in price. Also use a taxi from outside the hotel this should be half the price, this is because hotel take commission."

"Arrive near midnight and had a nightmare checking in due to a computer error. We ended up getting relocated to another hotel for the first night which was frustrating. On our return the hotel staff were very helpful - we had a nice room at garden level, complimentary lunch and dinner and a personal apology from the Manager. The pool area is good - clean and well presented.

Stayed in many 5 star hotels and this din't make the usual standard - but great value for money on the other hand."

Location

The rooms are spacious and designed in a classical style with blue carpets and high quality brown furniture and marble tiled bathrooms. There are Egyptian ornaments and artwork.

There are three restaurants and snack bars which offer international, Italian and local cuisine.

A traditional Egyptian - Arabian building around a courtyard/Pool area in yellow/beige colour and 7 floors high.

This is a new hotel in a superb location for the culture traveller to explore the Pyramids and Cairo. 1108 hm
