"Fantastic hotel in the castle district, it is not as busy as in the main centre of Budapest, but there are some fantastic restaurants (too many good ones to mention) very close by, it is great to be amongst all the historical buildings.

The Staff at the hotel were very helpful, the food was great, although quite pricey in the lobby bar (our only complaint), our room was a great size perfect for our needs, also the hotels gym is a nice size, in very good condition and has all the equipment you need."

"The Hilton is located in the middle of the 'old' city on the Buda side of the Danube which makes it an excellent centre for the palace, National Gallery, Museum etc.Traffic into the area is controlled so it is a great area for walking in."

Property Summary

Location

All the rooms are large. Rooms are of an exceptional standard and as one would expect, all are fully equipped. All rooms have a small ante-chamber separated from the main bedroom by a wooden screen. Bathrooms are large and luxuriously finished in marble.

There are a number of eating venues at the hotel, including the fine gourmet restaurant, the Dominican, with spectacular views over the Danube. The traditional Kalocsa featuring gypsy music, a roof-top cocktail bar and the Faust wine bar in the monastery's former wine cellar.

The hotel has a modern exterior. A particular and unique feature is the 14th century monastery within its walls, which is visible from some of the rooms as well as from the lobby bar.

With its unique location next to Buda castle, the Hilton is an ideal place to stay for anyone wanting to be in Budapest's most historical centre. AHJ 04.08
