"Marietta and Michael (her brother) are the perfect hosts, and two lovely people. What they need to realize for future bookings is that the 'Brits' are going through a tough time economicly, so need to have a reasonable venue to book their families into.
The Brits will accept any reasonable request for payment for lodging, but they will not accept being 'ripped off', because in Europe the Brits are considered fair game."Top Tip:
"Skalakia Restaurant is just around the corner from Marietta's and is frequented by many Greek families.

"An excellant holiday for the dosh,good food,dont expect the Ritz,but in its class,very good value & certainly clean.Mostly though it was the people (of all ages ),who made it exceptional."

"If you are looking for a quiet holiday with not much entertainment then this will be the one for you. The owners are very nice and helpfully - especially when I looked myself OUT of the bathroom."

"this hotel / apartments is run by the friendliest of families, Michalikis. Marietta and Michalis run a very efficient hotel but this does not take away from the personal service provided.
the rooms are excellent, food beautiful and the pool most refreshing.

"This is a family run apart-hotel of the first order. It is owned by the family but in particular run by a young girl named Marietta and her brother Michalis. There isn't anything these two young people or their parents wouldn't do for you or help you with. The rooms are excellent and food is on hand - Breakfast to Dinner if you require it. Entertainment is usually around the lounge bar, but there are speciality entertainment nights during the week.
I returned to stay with them because a year ago they went out of their way to help me when I had problems after a road accident. They treat everyone as a friend coming to Greece to share their home for a holiday.
I will never forget their kindness and support to me, and I will hopefully stay with them again"Top Tip:

"An excellant small family run Holiday destination. The family could not be more welcoming and helpfull. Nearly evryone staying here were repeat customers of many years. We have stayed at 4 and 5 star Hotles throughout Greece and this beats all for the friendly atmosphere.
Excellant value for money accomodation you just pay for the extras you want. You can choose to eat in or go out to explore other places.

"was not happy that we were not told in any way by you that the half board we booked would be a reduced menu at hotel.
As we had been there 3 or 4 times were very disappointed in this, and that you did not inform us of this.
The holiday price we paid was fine, we were pleased with it, but having paid out extra to have some of the meals we may as well have booked direct with Marrietta's.

Apartment Details - Marietta Studios and Apartments, Tailor Made Holiday
Rhodes is the largest of the Greek Dodecanese islands, but even so is still relatively small, being less than 50 miles long and around 24 miles wide at its broadest point. The village of Pastida, in which the Marietta Apartments are situated, is peaceful and unspoiled but is ideally situated for exploring the island. It is close to the north end of the island around five miles from the capital Rhodes town, and approximately midway between the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts, it is also close to the new main road that links the east side of the island to the airport. The nearest beach, at Kremasti is only 5 or 10 minutes away by car or taxi and is also on a direct frequent bus service. The village centre, five minutes walk from the apartments, has a variety of small shops including a supermarket, and a number of cafes and tavernas.
Accommodation
The Marietta Apartments offer two different types of accommodation:-Studios for two-three people and apartments accommodating three-five. The apartments tend to be more spacious than studios and offer separate bedrooms. The studios, however, are generous in size and are significantly larger than the norm for this type of room. They are modern, comfortable, clean and well furnished. All rooms have a kitchen area, equipped with hotplates and refrigerator, a separate shower room with toilet and a large balcony, most of which have views over the pool or garden areas. All studios and apartments are equipped with air conditioning which is available 24hrs at a nominal extra charge.
Food & Beverage
At the Marietta Apartments, the bar is a friendly and welcoming place with ample space to relax with a glass of your favorite tipple, watch Sky TV on the wide screen television set, or challenge the family to a game of pool. A full range of refreshments are available, including draught beer and all the Internationally known brands of spirit, soft drinks and mixers, as well of course as local drinks including the excellent locally produced red and white wines. There is a choice of two dining experiences, an intimate indoor room attached to the bar, and an outdoor area next to the pool which is romantically lit at night. Whichever appeals, you will find a wide variety of both Greek and International cuisine on offer and children of all ages are welcomed and even specially catered for.
Sports & Leisure
Guest can enjoy exploring the island, or the pool, which is the ideal place to be, to relax and soak up the sun. There are plenty of sun beds and parasols which are completely free of charge. There is also a jacuzzi at one end of the pool for additional relaxation and for parents with younger children, there is a fenced off area of shallow water where little ones can play in safety while Mum or Dad supervises from the edge.
