"Just returned from Luxor.Found the hotel to be well attended and the staff very attentive.5 star, not sure bit mucky around poolside and in corners of the hotel.
Overall the staff very friendly and helpfull. The Nile view is a must its gorgeous as the sun sets on Valley of the Kings.Camel trip a must as is Valley of the Kings.Didnt do the Baloon trip as kids didnt want to but looked good. The hotel was farily quite in november but that means loungers by pool and a table when you want one.Went Bed and Breakfast which was ok cause there are loads of resturant out and about.
Found the beer etc fairly dear at the hotel."

"very helpfull staff"

"this hotel has a wonderful setting right next to the Nile. The pool and bar area were great and served good lunchtime snacks. There were good chinese and italian restaurants in the grounds.unfortunately the room we had was overlooking the main road, very noisy, but as we were only there for 3 nights didn't ask to change rooms. breakfast was very good. staff were friendly and helpful."

"This was our second trip to the Isis. On our first trip we had got to know some of the staff at the hotel and so we were looking forward to seeing them on our return, although we did not know whether they would remember us - they did. It was like being greeted by friends you had not seen for years.
Any way - the hotel; The Isis is currently undergoing some renovation, as are most of the other hotels in Luxor, though this did not interfere or disrupt the holiday in any way. We were aware of some of the works, as you had to pass these on the way to the pool, but on the whole we didn't notice any of it.
The pool area has been recently remodelled with fountains. These create a great atmosphere, and also masked any noise the workmen were making.
The food in the hotels main restaurant, the lotus, is Egyptian based. Was always a variation of beef chicken and fish and was always hot and tasty. The deserts were fab. The staff in the restaurant are friendly and attentive, and in our case good teachers of arabic.
We stayed all-inclusive this time round.
The rooms are looking a little tired, but are clean and very comfortable. It was easy to get extra towels or pillows from housekeeping when needed. The Nile view from the balcony was spectacular.
Overall and enjoyable stay and somewhere we will defiantly return to."

"Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, staff very friendly and the view of the Nile was breathtaking. Food was fairly average though and much cheaper in nearby restaurants. We dined at John and Johns several times, just across the street from the hotel. The trips organised by the hotels are more expensive, Balloon ride was £35, whereas locally it could be brought for £25.00. They expect tips for every little service, bear in mind their average wage is less than £30.00 per month. When buying in the bazzare never pay the price asked, always haggle, for example they might ask 60 egyptian when it may be only 5 or 10 egyptian."

"there was a lot of building work going on and we was not told about it,
and work was all so being done in next appartment to use"

"Things didn't look good when we checked in and the two bedroom suite we booked was not what we got. We did however get two one bedroom junior suites next door to each other. As we had two young girls (11 & 13) it was a bit of a concern but the rooms were great, had a view of the Nile and had a chain and lock on the doors. The beds were massive, if a little firm, there was a fridge with small freezer area, a full bathroom and another loo with wash basin. The room service was great and excellent value and the shops around the base of the hotel were reasonable. The pools are mostly 8 feet deep and not really conducive for a relaxing soak but that said all in all its quite a good hotel and well worth the money. There is some work going on but it didn't impact on us at all. The staff were great and the hotel really doesn't need the cards in the room offering people 10% off or upgrade to a suite on their next visit if they write a review on Tripadvisor."

"The room we were allocated 'city view' was absolutely unacceptable with tatty decor, faulty aircon and all night noise from the street when you finally did drop off to sleep 5am prayers through loud speakers ensured you were awake again (ear plugs provided no barrier - it was that loud). Luckily the Med Hotels rep (Ahmed) and the hotel were fantastic and gladly moved us to a beautiful room. Staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful and I cannot fault anything else. My complaint is more the lack of information regarding this, as if it was stated this was what city view meant I would have gladly paid a bit more to avoid this"

"The hotel rooms are a little dated but the grounds are beautiful and the staff are helpful and friendly. The Nile corner suites have excellent views down the Nile."

"this was our second stay at the pyramisa isis hotel the hotel is great.the staff are very friendly and helpful the rooms are very clean, they are cleaned every day and the beds are changed daily. we could not wish for a friendlier country to holiday in."

"What makes this hotel so great is the personalised service given by the staff. They are so friendly and helpful and immediately make you feel welcome. This was my first visit to Luxor and it did feel a bit strange when we got there but the staff at the hotel made us feels very relaxed and welcome. I would definitely stay there again. The pool area and garden are kept very clean. There was work going on around the hotel and sun terrace but the men working there kept out of your way and we did not feel unduly bothered by it. The food and was great and the waiters kept us laughing all week."

"This hotel is not as good as it used to be in previous years. Public areas are being upgraded but food has deteriorated"

"The Pyramisa Isis excels due to the personalised service given by the staff. They are so friendly and helpful and immediately makes the guest relax and enjoy their stay there. My first visit was in November '07 and ever since I have been there 4 times so far and will never stay anywhere else as the staff are so nice to me - so much that they are now like my extended family. It's a wonderful place where guests can relax and enjoy the music at the bar, the spacious garden and pool area, the food and everything else that this 5 star hotel has to offer."

"Nice place to stay, good location, on a very reasonable price.
Staff is flexible and helpful, - mostly when you ask your double room reserved, and they make it of two single beds!:-) They have only single beds. It's a huge massive hotel, sometimes a bit crowdy and noisy, but anyway I can recommend it to everyone."

"I booked it as it was rated as 5 star. It was not up to the standrads of a 5 start hotel (I have stayed in many 5 stars around the world). The hotel was not clean, house keeping was very poor, level of english communication (even at the reception or room service) was very poor. Food was terrible and there was no reasonable restaurant at the hotel. I would have classified it as 3 star. There 5 star hotels near by much much better at cheaper price."
