"This hotel is not for families with teenagers who may enjoy watersports and other entertainment. It is ideal for families with younger children and older adults. We found it an ideal location for us to relax and enjoy as adults but our teenage children wanted more activities. My husband and I would certainly consider returning to the Crane again but this time on our own."

Description:

The Crane Resort and Residences occupies a dramatic high cliff on the Southeast coast of Barbados, swept by fresh, invigorating breezes. This famous property overlooks a half-mile of white soft sands known as Crane Beach, recently named one of the top ten beaches in the world by Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. In 1887, The Crane was the first resort hotel in Barbados. Today, this tranquil residential resort offers a place of quiet elegance and understated sophistication. Luxuries and conveniences are decidedly twenty-first century; complimentary Internet access and whisper quiet air-conditioning. Native mahogany hand-crafted furnishings decorate the grand residences, also complete with fully-equipped kitchens with granite counters and marble bathrooms boasting luxurious whirlpool tubs and spa showers. For the ultimate retreat, opt for a private residence with private plunge pool offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The Cranes historic main swimming pool has been the setting for countless fashion photographs all over the world and the newly opened 1.5 acre multi-cascading pool and Jacuzzi complex offers a relaxing haven for guests.
