"If you like being on your own and quiet this is the place to book. A reasonable distance from towns and tourist activities. Cape Verde is very under developed, if you want to see the Island as it has been for years and before it becomes spoilt by tourism go soon. To the south of the Island is Santa Maria, there are a few bars, hotels and restaurants there and a lot of building works. It will take a day to visit anything worth seeing and then you can lay back and enjoy the sun without feeling guilty that you should be going out to see things. The island is volcanic and barron. We found it to be the most amazing and special place."
Top Tip:
"Try catching a ride into town on the back of a small truck, it really is an out of Africa experiance!"

"needs face lift , very short on everthing from food to pool loungers ,clean rooms but towels only changed once in 2 weeks definately not 3star unless there overhead in the sky ,more action in an empty field"

"The complex at Murdeira was very quiet but perfect for what we wanted, great with kids as there was space around the pool etc if we had wanted more nightlife or daytime activity we could have easily gone into Santa Maria (only about 5 mins away) but we were quite happy chilling by the pool and eating at the onsite restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the poolside cafe for lunch so just popped in to see the town once."

The Murdeira Village, set right on the ocean on a quite west facing bay, brings a feeling of air and space that makes it highly recommended to those in search of truly relaxing and peaceful holidays.

Accommodation

All rooms at Murdeira Village are equipped with air conditioning, bathroom with shower, hair dryer, direct dial telephone, TV, safe deposit box, minifridge, and terrace or balcony. The resort has also suites, which in addition have an equipped kitchenette.

Food & Beverage

There is a main restaurant where all three meals are served buffet style while a selection of a la carte dishes is also available. Guests on half board have the possibility of having breakfast and lunch, and special menus for children are available. Additionally, guests will find grill, cafeteria-bar and a snack bar by the pool.

Sports & Leisure

Murdeira Village offers swimming pool, kids pool, terrace with parasols and sunbeds, tennis courts with floodlight, beach volley, mini-soccer court, massage facilities, gym, table tennis and children playground. Guests can also benefit from a daily animation programme as well as evening entertainment.
