"The hotel is lovely, and friendly and well run. The restaurant was wonderful and we ate there almost every night! It's a shame they charge extra for everything - gym, (which is just 3 machines) etc. but if that was clear on booking it would have helped. Over all, though we were very happy."
Top Tip:
"If you;re looking for total relaxation and you're a beach person, Sal is great and especially this hotel. If you like water sports, again, it's perfect. If you;re into sightseeing then perhaps another island would suit you better, although they do run fishing and boat trips and there is Pedre de Lume to see, too."

"A very attractive hotel on a rather unattractive island. The location is superb, jutting out into the sea with fabulous views from the bar and restaurant, you can eat indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather. Staff are efficient and friendly, food is great and rooms are large and very comfortable with nice balconies.Ours didn't have a sea view, but I think that would be well worth the extra 10 euros a night if you can get one. I strongly object to the comment made by another reviewer about local children using the beach- they were very well behaved and were simply trying to catch fish off the hotel's sea wall. This provided us with great entertainment, and there's not much else to do, to be honest! Those who complain that this isn't a 4* hotel by Western standards should try paying for one in the developed world!"
Top Tip:
"Get a flight to Sao Vicente and then a ferry to Santo Antao- this is a spectacular island, verdant and remote with breath-taking mountain roads. Ponta do Sol is a lovely, wild fishing village which feels as though it's at the end of the world, but has nice hotels as well. Internal flights are expensive though, and hard to reserve yourself from the UK. We saw loads of flying fish on the ferry journey."

Hotel Details - Odjo D´Agua Hotel, Tailor Made Holiday

Hotel Odjo d?Agua in colonial style is situated adjacent to the extensive beach of Santa Maria and has the added bonus of its own small, private beach. All rooms have air conditioning and balconies or terraces. The service and ambiente is that of a family run hotel. Peace and harmony, no noise only the sound of the ocean. The only hotel directly located on the seafront. Beautiful interior, wam and rustic air to the rooms and main building. The garden and pool area has a romantic touch. One is really submerged in another world. On the private beach there are sunchairs free of charge and a little bar. Under a huge palm tree there is a spa corner where clients can enjoy some massages, whilst looking onto the sea.The restaurant is the pride of Hotel Odjo d?Agua and is situated overlooking the sea. The varied menu specialises in fresh seafood and fish and you can dine whilst listening to the live Cape Verdian music. Overall an excellent Cape Verdian owned hotel with lots of charme and all you need for a relaxing holiday.
