"The hotel was covered in scaffolding when we got there! I was not impressed. The roof top restaurant was a joke. The buffet breakfast was practically non existent, and the food that was there was inedible. They even used watered down milk for breakfast after initially giving us proper milk!"

"Very Impressed actually. Considering it was £16 for 2 nights, the hotel is right in the center of town with a lovely rooftop terrace with an excellent sunset view. It's basic and quite primitive but well worth the money.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The staff are polite and helpful. Breakfast was included, no stomach problems or issues with food being under cooked. All in all a good deal!"

"Use the hotel as a base to sleep only. Views right over the Luxor temple from balcony, get up earlyish to watch the balloons flloat past in the dawn sky. Breakfast facilities abysmal. Most staff not interested, unhelpful. Breakfast was served in the top floor restaurant until a sandstorm closed that down. Never had a meal in hotel as the restaurant on the ground floor was not opened until 3 days before we left. The bar was useless, more life in an undertakers waiting room. Warm beer served in "tooth brush" beakers. Not all bad though as the ladies that cleaned the rooms were brilliant, the rooms were spotless everywhere was sparkling clean, If only the other staff were as diligent. New fridges fitted in all rooms during stay, also new fire extinguishers etc."

"The Emilio is a great place to stay. You can admire Luxor Temple while eating breakfast on the roof! The hotel is also only a short walk to the ferry that crosses to the west bank."

"The Emilio Hotel in Luxor is always great. Staff improving with every visit. Food improved greatly over the past 12 months. Rooms are always very clean as are the bathrooms. The hotel is gvery convenient for all the sites and mostly in walking distance to great restaurants and to the souk. The ferry to the West Bank is also within walking distance. I have stayed at this particular hotel many, many times and it is always my first choice. The view from the pool on the roof is the best in Luxor and I would return just for that."
