  • "Due to overbooking we were transferred to another 5 star resort for two days. We were pretty angry at the time but, with hindsight, thoroughly enjoyed the alternative location, which was better. The Oceania was a truly 5 star hotel with excellent service and facilities at all levels. In truth, better at the beginning when the germans were there but deteriorated noticeably towards the end when the "special offers for end of season" people arrived. The whole quality, particularly the food, diminished at this stage of the holiday. The hotel was truck by the norovirus well into our second week and a lot of people, including staff, were affected by this, including my wife. The flight home was interesting also as many people from the hotel became sick on the plane which, at one stage, I though would be diverted after the 'is there a doctor on board' announcement was made. Overall, a most enjoyable holiday."
